Phone turns off / shuts down after screen time out - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My HTC 816 turns off / shuts down after screen time out. After time out if you let it ideal for 5-7 seconds and then try to wake it up by pressing the power button, you will have to long press the button and the phone will boot.
I also noticed it turns of completely about 80% times and 20% times it restarts.
Other interesting thing i noticed is that if the phone is plugged into a power source it wont turnoff/restart, it will behave as it should.
Also if you are on a call, and the screen times out it wont turnoff / restart.
I guess the problem comes when the phone is left idle.
I have tried factory reset, clearing cache, booting in safe mode, nothing works.
Battery is in very good condition, no fluctuations gives very good backup.

[help!!] frozen_screen ??

last night i've just playing some games and put my phone off at 65% battery
after i wake up, 10 hours later, i press the home button to see what time is it but nothing happened. so i press the power button to unlock the screen but nothing happened too.
then i try to hold the power button for 15 second, the phone booted up with 0% of battery!!
i open betterybatterystats to check what happened with my phone and found some process making partial wakelocks i've never seen before, that is "FROZEN_SCREEN"
then i see the history graph of my battery it show that the battery goes down from ~60% to 0% immediately about the time i pressed the home button
i've face this problem before, put the phone down for 10-15 min. then press the home or power button and nothing happened, but that time it just lose 2-3% of battery
anyone know how to fix this??
p.s. now i'm charging the phone while it turned off and waiting for full charge, then i'll try to wipe data, cache and flash the rom again.

Locked up SGP5.0

I was in File Expert this morning, about to back up my apps, and my screen locked up (I was just checking apps to BU, had not started it yet). The only button that works is the on/off, but it only turns the screen on and off. No power down, no back, no settings, nothing. SPG5, so can't do a battery pull (what was Samsung thinking?). I thought maybe my battery went to zero, but I have it on a charger now, still just screen on or off. Is there a reboot sequence?
HELP!
edit: Sorry for the panic. I discovered that if I looooooooong press the power button, it finally rebooted. Not like a typical power off, a hold for 5 seconds; this took a hold of at least 30 seconds. Screen did nothing for a while, then turned on, then turned off and rebooted. All is back to were it was...

LG G3 rooted, twrp, Xposed, will not reboot without removing battery?

Hello,
Since rooting the phone it will not restart without pulling the battery.
If in Xposed "soft reboot" or "reboot" both turn the phone off and it will not respond to button input to re-start
If pressing power until power off menu comes up and I press reboot, it shuts down and will not re-start until I pull the battery.
If I plug in the power while it is in this state it will not charge or start
Once I pull the battery, it will:
Charge without starting when plugged in
Start with power button press
All else acts normal.
Any ideas? I just hate taking the stupid case off and pulling the battery any time I have to re-start!
I haven't narrowed down what causes it, but I've eliminated a lot of things:

Just for clarity, it more than likely isn't actually "off", it's rebooting and getting frozen with a black screen. Besides pulling the battery you can also long press the power button (10 seconds?) to force it to turn off, then turn it back on again. I usually just pull the battery too because it's quicker.
Yeah, no the long press doesn't do anything no matter if I leave it pressed for 5 seconds or even 45 seconds (Tried that several times)
Leaving it alone for an hour doesn't do anything. If anything I'm doubting that it turns all the way off rather than gets stuck rebooting. It is absolutely frozen until I pull the battery.
Here are the only things I have found which works to avoid taking the phone apart:
From Quickboot: Power Off (do not reboot, do not soft boot, etc, just power off) (quickly powers down, almost instant)
or
Press and hold power button for menu: Power Off (longer time to power down)
From either of those, the power button turns the phone back on no problem.
No rebooting works.

Some problems after resetting my c8633.. Power button only work for turning on phone

I have a rooted c8633 and factory reset it yesterday, then battery suddenly dropped from 30% to 0%.
1. After turning it on again, the power button wont work(cant screen on/ off) . But i can still use it to power on or force turn off the phone (power + volume up), so i assume its some software problems but i didnt install any apps i never use before.
2. The battery percentage seems not accurate, sometimes it drops fast but some times its very slow.
Could anyone please help with these problems? Thank you.
Sorry i cant capture any screen because my power button is not working.
