Are oreos really smooth? - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

Hi everyone! I'm a nougat user for long long time. I tried oreo ROMs too but haven't used them for more than 2 days because they all of them are not smooth like nougat(and I'm using RR N) and all oreo ROMs lags for me. Today I tried lineage os by galactic stryder and it was lagging too. But this time I had not made the clean install. I just made backup of my current RR and flashed ROM, seen lags on ROM and restored RR. I had made clean install 3-4 times month ago of AICP, RR and AOSIP oreo ROMs but they were lagging too. Do you guys know any solution for this problem or oreo is a bff of lags? I have seen oreo ROM running on devices like redmi note 4 and all of them fly then why our device do not have smooth oreo?

Oh wow! I just flashed RR O official over RR N official Final version. It's a dirty flash. Data is not cleaned. And for the first time I'm using smooth oreo. Scrolling great, notification panel is great, recent panel is great. However ROM is not smooth while using it after clean flash. But if you know any other solution so i can use any other oreo ROM without lags

Try AICP, it runs great on my LeMax2 (X820)

Try Lineage 15.1, official or my builds. It's smooth and fast.

Resurrection Remix. It's a CM 13 based Rom, stable and nice. You have other customization options too.
From my personal experience, MM ROMs are a lot better, smooth and stable (so far) than any lollipop Rom I've flashed on this device

Yes..i tried to flash it before The ROM bit nothing... The recovery doesn't istall The ROM..remain on path system unconditionally..
I think cm 13 is best rom ever in custom roms
I suggest Temasek, AICP, or CyanPop for now. Since RR froze development for reasons I don't know, these ROMs should be a good substitute. But when RR comes back, its a recommend to go for it. RR topped the charts while the I9300 was in the world of lollipops

I had Blispop v4.x (LP 5.1) for a month. Twice a day I had to restart the phone because camera driver (or whatever) was crashing and apps could not connect to camera.
Is the camera driver stable on CM 13 or Resurrection Remix?
I was using A Better Camera and Camera MX.
I suggest to stay on lollipop, cause MM cm-13 still have a lot of bugs. If you use ur phone for daily usage just wait for stable release of MM.

not right.. for me marshmallow rom is better than lollipop ROM..try only to see the instructions and do a flash clean.
is 3 weeks thai i use Cyanogenmod13 and now i'm on latest build 17012016..and all works fine without problem.. for camera i don't have any issue.. i use snap camera but i think also stock camera isn't buggy
Lollipop is not ideal for exynos versions of S3. Thats why CM skipped it. Not to say you wont find other custom roms where L does fine as well as unofficial CM12 versions. With free time on the weekend, I decided to test latest CM 13 nightlies. This on the assumption its just to familiarize myself with it then flash back to my reference CM11 backup. Quite surprised how solid CM13 is. May hang on to it for a while as I've not yet seen any reason to flash back yet.
I recommend you resurrection remix rom.

ResurrectIon Remix 5.7.4 vs Resurrection Remix 5.8.0?

I would like to know which ROM is better for daily use. I am actually in RR 5.7.4 using Radon kernel
i was on 5.8.0 with radon kernel for 2 weeks now and i went back to 5.7.4 with radon. MM release i way more mature, every feature inside the rom works and is there where you need it.
on nougat release camera and torch bugs are disturbing, there werent that much quick settings toogles as in the MM release ... overall im very happy with the MM release over the few new features of nougat but in a not so stable rom the MM release is rock stable! never had an reset.
buuuuut... overall for a first release it was astonishing stable and quite smooth. im going to switch to nougat as those bugs and missing features arre fixed =)

Right time to flash Nought 7.X.X for Onyx devices..?

It depends mate..every nougat ROM has some features and customization and some negative points too.so just consider other users post and bugs on that respective thread as a review and flash if you want to do it.
Hi brother, I recommend you to stick to the Marshmallow ROM. After all the bugs are gone (especially the camera bug) you go on to the nougat builds. And the time may come soon.

Thank you for updating me. Yes the camera bugs are gone. But was not a stable release yet. The status is still in TESTING. We can wait till it goes beta or nightly.
I would wait till xposed is released for nougat.
Personally, I use nougat as a daily driver (Resurrection Remix) and it runs perfectly!

And what about battery life?
Photo quality?
did you compared it with CM14.1 Aschwin's?
Yes, aschwin's cm14.1 works very well except some corner cases.
Generally the ROM is smooth and stable,
but if you want perfect experience, you'd better to wait an official nightly/stable CM14.1
what's about xperince 7.1.1 new build it is official too
I've been using xperience nougat ROM 11/26 build as my daily. So far it's been more stable for me than resurrection remix MM which I was using previously. (random reboots and FC from tons of apps)
Will probably try RR again once there is a stable official N version (if not already available) because it has more customization options. But for now, xperience is great for me.
I would go with Tesla N

Andriod 7 Stable ROM to install?

Hi Guys,
I'm currently using pure nexus rom.
Compared with Lineage OS & Resurrection remix are those ROM more stable?
Which one should i choose between the two?
Are there any difference?
Thanks,
Use Nitrogen OS instead. It's good. Been using for 3 months.
there isn't any nougat rom stable yet
all of them has some sort of bugs
just study well what are you going to flash to be fully aware
For Dirty flash & OTA NOS stable - Pure stability & clean flash wiping data AospEX - RR ruled out - LOS nil customization & no Xposed - Find which one's for you [emoji6]

U should try mokee ROM! Its very stable and with franco kernel it's very battery friendly and smooth. Didn't notice any bugs.
I was too on pure Nexus and changed to mokee.

No why it should lock? I thought only MIUI Roms can lock the bootloader.
But I don't care about it, because I flashed this ROM with locked bootloader. ^^
using RR since 3 months, tried nexus, lineageOS, nitrogen, and all the other roms.
Go for pixel rom smooth and stable some bugs are their like camera and torch but these can be fixed after installing the rom, otherwise u are good to go.
One common bug of video calling is there with stock app which is there in every nougat rom.
If you want the best signal in Nougat, choose a CAF N based rom. I highly recommend AOSiP rom.

Best Nougat ROM for Condor

It's been 5 or 6 months since our little beast got the Nougat update thanks to our developers who are doing amazing job with our 3 year old device.
I want to know Is there any Nougat ROM which is absolutely stable, and with great battery life like MM ROMs.
Since Xposed for Nougat is not ready at the moment, Greenify and Amplify are not that effective. I am not a flasholic who try every ROM so plz suggest me the absolute best one of them you use. It will also help many other users who want a stable Nougat ROM.
PS: I have tried CM14.1 , RR 5.8.0
Now back to RR 5.7.4 MM

Every ROM is not perfect. I will only be able to suggest you according to your priority.
If you need best battery life & performance then try Cardinal, Aoscp, DU, Aosp-CAF
If you want decent battery life & performance with lots of customization then try RR (by anderson), AEX and LOS (it will give you a better performance but you won't get Theme support).

Cardinal was the best MM ROM I've used in terms of battery and stability but is not for Nougat yet.
I just want a stable ROM with everything working fine(including ROOT) and good battery life( upto 5 hours of SOT) and can be used for a like long time.

Cardinal will be back soon. You can try Citrus ROM made by the same team. Be aware you won't get updates soon. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120712605
I would suggest you to go for DU or AOSCP both are great.
The latest DU rom is https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862719486
And for aoscp wait as within a week you will get updated v3.6.2 on their official site.
