Amazfit Enable app list on US/CN through adb

In CN version you can active the app list in the watch, if you have not already enabled "Launcher App List", go to "More Settings" -> "About" -> Keep clicking legal information till you see countdown to zero. Once that is done, you will have the Lab link below. Click on Lab and select "Launcher AppList". This will restart your Launcher. Now go to the Right most app from your watch face, you will see the Launcher.
This method allows you to activate the app list also on the American versions so as to use the third-party app!
Connect the watch to your computer via USB and access via ADB (install ADB Drivers as needed)
Open command prompt or shell
Enter the commands :
Code:
adb shell
> /sdcard/launcher_config.ini
am force-stop com.huami.watch.launcher
After Launcher restart you can go to the Right most app from your watch face and you will see the App List.
Thank you very much! US firmware 1.3.1, this did work. I was able to install and use AmazfitCNTimer.apk without installing Chinese firmware.
# SEE EDIT!
On 1.3.1m watch model a1612 your instructions return:
Code:
adb shell
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5038 *
* daemon started successfully *
[email protected]:/ # /sdcard/launcher_config.ini
/sdcard/launcher_config.ini
/system/bin/sh: /sdcard/launcher_config.ini: not found
Further, if I proceed to force-stop the launcher does restart but of course there is no app launcher as expected.
# EDIT
Just realized I needed to include the '>' to create the file. I'll take noob mistakes for 500, Alex.

It allows you to open all sideloaded apps.
BUT IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT ALL APPS WILL WORK.
It's only the app starter.

Hello there. I was using this metod on last 1.3.2b update and it was working.
Now i've received 1.3.3a, that should have app list by default.
But it desapparead from the watch, and also using this method, i have no more app list.
any idea?
PS:
Amazfit PACE US
Jun 2017 firmware 1.3.3a was supposed to include the app list as a feature.
I tried to enable it by going in to the menu > About > Legal and tapping 5 times but there was no app list in the new Lab menu.
So I tried the adb shell command and it worked.
To reverse this, do we just delete the launcher_config.ini?
Also, I tried to pull that file and look at it but couldn't:
adb pull /sdcard/launcher_config.ini c:/temp
Got no errors, but got no file in C:\temp.

Debloat/Disable System Apps

So you got your new shiny realme device but you hate bloatware or want to disable system apps so you can use 3rd party apps instead?
Follow the steps below:
THIS DOES NOT REQUIRE ROOT HOWEVER MAKE SURE NOT TO DISABLE IMPORTANT SYSTEM APPS. WIPE DATA/FORMATTING RE-ENABLES ALL SYSTEM APPS. THIS DOES NOT MESS WITH OTAs.
WHAT YOU NEED:-
ADB/Fastboot Drivers
Windows: https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-windows.zip
Linux: https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-linux.zip
DEBLOAT:-
1. Enable developer options by tapping on the build number 7 times and enable USB Debugging.
2. Plug in your phone.
3. Goto the folder where ADB is installed, hold shift and right click, and click on open command window here(windows).
4. Type
in CMD
Code:
adb devices
in Powershell
Code:
./adb devices
.
5. This should return the ID of your device and show if its authorised. Enable debugging Promt on your Phone if it shows unauthorised (allow this computer).
6. Type
in cmd
Code:
adb shell
in Powershell
Code:
./adb shell
.
7. This should display a prompt, something like RMXxxxx:/ $
8. To uninstall type
Code:
pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of the package>
To disable type
Code:
pm disable-user --user 0 <name of the package>
eg: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.heytap.browser / pm disable-user --user 0 com.heytap.browser
9. Done!
To reinstall uninstalled apps type
Code:
pm install-existing <name of the package>
To enable disabled apps type
Code:
pm enable <name of the package>
Some apps do not uninstall such as market and gamecenter, disabling is the only option.

Some handy tips down the road.
While using power shell just add ./ infront of all adb commands and everything will work.
If error showing while connecting through USB debug "Cant Allow USB debugging Because an app is obscuring when connect to your pc..." Just disable assistive ball and Floating windows privacy > display over other apps.< Uncheck everything.
$ ./adb shell pm list packages < List everything installed
$ adb shell pm list packages -d < List all the disabled package
Can be safely and shud be Disabled packages:
package:com.heytap.cloud < Cloud service better alternates avail.
package:com.android.nfc < By default disabled as device doesn't have hardware.
package:com.facebook.services < Racist Biased Snitch Company will leech on your data and create chaos in your country.

I recently debloated many packages, but found the realme gallery3d to be useful. It has face sorting feature, which I found to be very nice.
However I lost the capability to sort face after deleting a random package, and I dont know which one it is.
Does anyone know which package is associated with this service?

Not the path but the app package name is that matters, you can download an app like this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.csdroid.pkg&hl=es&gl=US
Be careful which app you choose, disabling a system dependent app may cause your device not working properly or even booting at all. You might need to perform a factory reset or flash again the firmware to solve it.

Don't. Disabling weather app on RUI 2.0 causes issues. You'll have to format data to recover.

How To Guide Remove Microsoft Bloat

In the spirit of removing stubborn pre-installed APKs from freshly unpacked Android devices, I would like to share the apps I removed using adb and the commands used to do so.
I personally do not use Office or Bing so these were my primary targets, but I also removed OneDrive, OneNote, Outlook and Edge as well.
This is step-by-step for Windows users:
1. Download platform-tools from https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-windows.zip
2. Extract to C:\ (or a place of your choosing)
3. Open a command prompt from your start menu by typing "cmd" in your Windows search bar.
4. You should see something like: C:\Users\YourUsername_>
5. Type "cd C:\platform-tools" and press Return/Enter
6. You should now see C:\platform-tools>
7. Plug in your device with a USB cable and ensure you have turned Developer Options on your device (search Google for how to do this if unsure)
8. Type "adb shell" and you should get an Unauthorized message in the command prompt window followed by a pop-up on your device asking if you trust the computer you are connected to.
9. Select the option to trust the computer you are connected to.
10. Type adb shell again and hit Enter/Return and you should see a unique alpha-numeric device ID show in the command prompt now.
11. Begin uninstalling the packages you wish to no longer be stuck on your Surface Duo 2 with the command below.
12. Repeat the command below for each package/app you wish to uninstall.
pm uninstall --user 0 <package name from the list below goes here>
(Below are the packages I have personally removed line by line and still have stable experience on the device. Most are evident in the package name of what was removed. I will update the list as I remove more.)

Hi. Somewhat cautious of doing anything that bricks my Duo 2 - I use many of the Microsoft apps, so I'm more interested in removing the Google suite of apps. Does the above approach work for Google apps too?

How To Guide Force 120Hz MIUI 13 & MIUI 14

This is a thread for those who don't want to root their device to force 120Hz on every app.If you are looking for a root solution, then use the LSPosed module called MIUI Performance Saver - Download here
In this way, you can force 120Hz in applications such as: YouTube, MX Player, Google Maps and many others that run at 60Hz by default in MIUI.
You will notice the changes, but you can check it by turning on the refresh rate counter in developer options and check the changes before and after.
First method via ADB
1. In your device, in developer options, enable usb debugging and usb debugging (security settings) and connect your phone to the PC.
2. Download platform tools and extract to a folder
3. Open console in the platform tools folder
4. Enter the following command:
For MIUI 13:
Code:
adb shell settings put system user_refresh_rate 1
For MIUI 14:
Code:
adb shell settings put secure user_refresh_rate 1
If first method doesn't work for you, then try second method.
Second method via Settings Database Editor app
Download this app from the Play Store and for it to work properly, download and install this file from github (settings-database-provider.apk).
For MIUI 13:
1. Open Settings Database Editor app
2. Search "user_refresh_rate"
3. Cick on it to edit the value and replace 120 with 1 and save changes
4. Done
For MIUI 14:
MIUI 14 requires you to grant permissions to the Settings Database Provider app via ADB
1. In your device, in developer options, enable usb debugging and usb debugging (security settings) and connect your phone to the PC.
2. Download platform tools and extract to a folder
3. Open console in platform tools folder
4. Enter the following command:
Code:
adb shell pm grant com.netvor.settings.database.provider android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
5. Open Settings Database Editor app
6. Search "user_refresh_rate"
7. Cick on it to edit the value and replace 120 with 1 and save changes
8. Done
Keep in mind that it may not work because Xiaomi changes something under the hood of the updates.
I dont know what to say, force fps can cause useless battery drain on app that dont really need ... Do you really need 120hz when you send sms or making call or even messenger ... All do what they want but i wont use it

I've been using this method since I had the Poco F3 and I've never noticed that the battery was draining much because of it. I'm used to 120Hz and find it irritating to suddenly switch to 60Hz when scrolling in YouTube or some other app. I am not forcing anyone to force 120Hz on their devices.
Yeah but its most of the time at 120 btw, only you tube and tik tok seems to lower it at 60,
I miss my poco f3... They have all custom rom they want pfff, i sold to my brother ...

Can you provide more information? Any errors when executing commands in ADB? Can't find user_refresh_rate in setedit app? It's impossible that it wouldn't work on Poco F3, because I had this device until recently (now I don't have it anymore) and both methods worked perfectly in global ROMs and xiaomi.eu.
is there any way to force it from 120hz to 60hz instantly when i stop swiping? it only works when brightness is above 50%, if below 50% it's always 120hz

This is MIUI, nothing can be done about it. You can try Magisk root + LSPosed "MIUI Performance Saver" module and force 120hz, which "maybe" will solve your problem, or you can wait for some custom rom that will hopefully come out for the Xiaomi 12T Pro someday, as long as Xiaomi releases kernel source code for this device.
I cant seem to get my ADB to work u have any guides? and there is no "console" in the platform tools folder please help me

Changing refresh rate via ADB doesn't work for me either. Xiaomi changed something in the permissions again during one of the updates. I just updated my thread, so try second method through the Settings Database Editor app, because I checked and it works for me on Xiaomi.eu weekly 23.5.22.
Very good find! I had it working on MIUI 13 but I had been waiting to get it working on MIUI 14 since forever, didn't know we had to modify the secure table for this. Also, do you know any more efficient ways to do this with root? I am always rooted.
