Is ARBG still newest FW for 965U1? - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

Is this still the latest firmware? Is there a beta site like firmware.science for the unlocked models?

I'm wondering the same things. I hope someone can provide some insight.

Yes, hopefully we will get a security patch update soon

Updates!! Help

If You Are on 3 network in Ireland/England then please reply.
I've read that some ppl on 3 network have gotten s3 updates already and im still on the stock update, does anyone know about the release dates for the updates on 3?
Are you still running the stock firmware or have you rooted your device? For reference, if it's rooted, you will no longer receive OTA updates and will have to install them yourself.

Call Three. They are a bit notorious for slow sendout of OTA updates.

How to flash S8+ sprint?

hello, I am asking for, because I see a lot of people saying about diferent firmwares for each devices (AT&T, TMB, VZW, SPR) and the model is the same for all(G955U), I found in AFH an stock firmware but it says TMB, and I don't want to brick my device lol.
Can anyone share a firmware to our S8+ from Sprint???
If is possible, I am looking for QD9 version.
Thanks
without unlocked bootloader, you cannot flash anything. 955U has no unlock solution yet.
You can't Flash... but you can Odin stock firmware... anyone have Sprint stock firmware ?

I have noticed the baseband firmware is the same and there is a "user" firmware file that is strictly associated with the carrier. I have recognized this with Verizon and Sprint. ODDLY.. I have only seen these carrier firmware files included with the initial firmware release of the phone..
So Verizon launched its GS8 plus with one firmware release in advance of Sprints release of the phone.
So the two firmware files are NOT compatible given you are unable to downgrade and completely unprovission your phone.
Now .. I think the theory is that if you own a Verizon handset that has never received an update you can provision to Sprint .. granted you have the complete initial firmware set for Sprint.

software update 11/14

Just got a software update and just finish updated. Not sure what changed, it only said it's enhanced the performance and security. Anyone else?

I have the ATT variant which I purchased from Samsung. Idk if it's snapdragon or exynos. But here's a screenshot of the build.

ATT is a snapdragon variant.
Yep im on At&t..Snapdragon. I disabled updates with Titanium Backup so I can still root, like I said there has been talk of an update that will prevent root..not sure if that is what you got.

The Verizon version did not receive this update .. still on QI5
I have the AT&T version and it looks like it got a new bootloader along with the October security updates.
Unlocked Snapdragon here still on August security update
I have an unlocked carrier Note 8 running the AT&T firmware. I just c hecked an no update from AT&T or Samsung.
Sprint update hasn't arrived yet either.
Wait, so QI5 can root/be able to be downgraded to a lower FW that can be rooted? I just wanted to make sure to not patch, or if it already is, might as well just update, lol.

T-Mobile Unlocked Note 8 Oreo update for unlocked model?

Guys I have T-MO Note 8 SM-N950U. Software Ver XAA/XAA/TMB.
I am currently on Nougat 7.1.1 N950USQU1AQH7/N950UOYN1AQH7. I haven't got any Oreo update still. No update from OTA or Samsung switch. I asked with Samsung Support and they say they have released Oreo update for all US phones. And T-MO support is saying Samsung will provide update since it is unlocked one. Guys please give me some help/directions on how I can go to Oreo on my Note 8. Thanks. :crying:
Samsung support responds pretty quickly if you contact them via Twitter or the Samsung+ app.

You have a SM-N950U1 right? Mine is SM-N950U. So does this mean my Phone is not getting the update due to not being on T-Mobile Carrier. If so Any way I can Manually update to Oreo, I searched around and could not find a XAA SM-N950U firmware. There is one for the SM-N950U1 though. Samsung Support says to wait for an update. But they are not certain to which date. Its been so long now.

**** yes, not sure why I thought you had the unlocked version. Tmobile page shows that Oreo was released for their Note 8.
https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-37051
I would just flash the Unlocked Note 8 version there is a thread here just follow the instructions from this thread.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/how-to/guide-sm-n950u-u1-t3685884
Especially if you are using it on another network. All the US Note 8 are the same hardware wise just flashed with different software. You can get the firmware from here.

Looking for v6 bootloader firmware for 965U (at&t)

Anybody have stock at&t firmware for s9+ ? At&t appear to have released it OTA to their phones :
https://www.att.com/devicehowto/tut...89?make=Samsung&model=SamsungG965U&gsi=zzc41v
Also need userdata, apparently. I'm new to flashing stock stuff.
I'm going to ask the same question, as I just noticed this release. I'm using an AT&T branded (and locked) S9+ on Cricket, and apparently, I will not be receiving OTA updates... When the files are available, I hope someone posts here. Thanks!
why dont y'all just flash this and be done with it?

Thanks for your suggestion. However, that isn't the official build from AT&T. The Build Number I'm looking for is G965USQS6CSH5.

P.S. My phone isn't unlocked... Also, non-member (free) download is not available.
