XOS is a new generation Android-based cutting-edge OS based on the Android Open Source Project and Code Aurora Forum releases.
What is XOS?
halogenOS, also known as XOS is a new Android ROM which ships with the global aim to
become a modular ROM which keeps as high as potentially possible operating
performance on your mobile device while still maintaining a sufficient feature
base of nice, small and minimal features that would not be available via any
external feature base, extension, mod or plugin.
We hope you have a truly halogenified experience!
Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from the
Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and Code Aurora Forum (CAF),
with extremely minor set of components from LineageOS (LaOS or LN) which
have been added to source in order to allow for better cross-device compatibility.
Our LOVE to others
A huge thanks goes to those behind the AOSP and CAF, the LineageOS Project and all of its
contributors for the sources used in the development of the base ROM which we
started with inclusive of all the work and dedication their team puts in order to
keep us updated on the awesome contributions that they make.
We will be keen on ensuring that we be up to date with the code from our base sources,
with regular ROM updates hopefully coming from time to time.
Please do not ask for ETA's (else you shall be spooked by Mr Skeltal). Almost all of us are
students, and with the current lifestyles and routines we have, it is not that easy to acquire
time to develop the ROM, though we'll be sure to keep you updated and release OTAs as
soon as they are available and ready for publication. If you want to be really updated quick,
then join us on Telegram: http://telegram.me/halogenos
Visit our website for features such as: Downloads, Information etc.
http://halogenos.org
Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,
we advise you to follow the following steps if you are coming from another ROM:
Code:
* Please take a full [I]Nandroid[/I] backup!
* Please copy your back up to an external device.
* Back up your [I]Internal Storage[/I]
* When completed, [I]clean flash[/I] the build (format using fastboot --wipe-and-use-fbe)
Although you usually may dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other
ROM is built upon the same Android version, it is not guaranteed.
In case of performance issues or crashes please do a clean flash.
Overall as a ROM, XOS is very stable. Our mission statement has always been of maintaining a clean and properly maintained ROM.
We take proper priority with ensuring that performance and stability are put first, features are considered an extra topping on the cake.

Code:
* Download the current version of XOS for your device.

* Reboot.
You do not need to wipe Cache/Dalvik.
You do not need to flash Google Apps again*.
You do not need more than 5 minutes.
* Just make sure that you don't wipe system before flashing.

Currently right now, halogenOS will only include the stock Android theme.
We may one day decide to use a custom theme as soon as that theme is working perfectly fine.

Might be a bad download. In fact, i find it more smooth than any other 8.1 rom. The stock launcher is so dam smooth, i might just refrain from flashing a custom launcher.

Seems to be a Gapps issue, since latest build went perfectly through setup wizard without hiccups. You can try to use these gapps too if GZR gapps dont work https://download.dirtyunicorns.com/gapps/arm64/EzioGappsMini-arm64-8.x.x-official-April2018.zip
Fingerprint gestures are in System > Gestures , for now there is only swipe down for notifications
Well well well, look who's here with XOS.

Not sure if this is a feature but the WiFi is turned off on each reboot. I have to manually turn it ON every time.

This is indeed a feature, although coming straight from Google. It's a security feature introduced in Android 8.1. Which means you will have to enable it on every reboot.

Nahh to comfortable with my setup for testing atm
Flashed this yesterday evening and so far so good! Only been used lightly so I'll report any bugs that do come up, but overall seems like a great job One of my favorite additions is the ability to switch notifications back to the old ticker style, which IMO is much better than the heads-up notifications used now. Definitely makes this a keeper!
Quick update, just found my first bug - the front-facing camera doesn't appear to be active at all (it doesn't come up in any app, including the default camera app). Not a deal-breaker for me at all fortunately.

* Backing up your [I]Internal Storage[/I] is also recommended.
* When completed, [I]clean flash[/I] the build!
Although you usually may dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other
ROM is built upon the same Android version, it is not guaranteed.
In case of performance issues or crashes please do a clean flash.
You can dirty flash halogenOS 7 (Nougat) over halogenOS 6 (Marshmallow)
without any problems. Although we cannot promise that it will work for you,
although we don't recommend it, we can tell you that this has been tested.
Overall as a ROM, XOS is very stable. Our mission statement has always been of maintaining a clean and properly maintained ROM.
We take proper priority with ensuring that performance and stability are put first, features are considered an extra topping on the cake.

Notes:
1] Previous thread was deleted by me for some reasons. This is a stable build. You can flash this.
2] Why is this not in orig-development? Because people view android-development forum first and it gets 'more traffic' hence.
3] Bugs? Report them over Telegram or on the thread. Better if you Telegram. We are online 24/7.
4] Problems? We have a vast community over Telegram. You might want to ask there and get your answers asap. Links are mentioned above.
5] ROM has OTA updater and will give you a notification when a new build is come. We have a release schedule which we follow sincerely. Release builds are done only on Saturdays every twice a week unless a major fix has to be implemented. If you do not get a notification, you can manually update the ROM.

Thanks for the reupload. Does this need TWRP CAF to work??
Nope, I used normal TWRP and it worked fine

Could you please tell us if scrolling is working fine? I was using 06/25 build and scrolling was a little bit glitchy.
When I first flashed the ROM (01/07) earlier today, I had this problem too.
Anyway, after some minutes of use and a reboot, that problem vanished and it became very smooth!
Yep. Maybe your cache was empty. I need private beta testers. Please pm me here or on telegram. Need to test loads of stuff. Including private stuff I'm building like O (preview 2)

The rom is smooth, no glitch while scrolling. I notice one thing, there is no way to assign the volume rocker to awake the device. Under Hardware button I enable it, but it disables it self. That is the only bug I found so far. Sorry I don't post this in Telegram but I'm not going to join a community which I will hardly be part of.

ROM is Smooth AF. Wipe system and try again. Sometimes Gapps are the one causing the lags.
I usually boot the ROM without Gapps and test it. I flash the Gapps later only if I'm going to make use of the Google environment.

Code:
* Please take a full [I]Nandroid[/I] backup!
* Please copy your back up to an external device.
* Backing up your [I]Internal Storage[/I] is also recommended.
* When completed, [I]clean flash[/I] the build!

- Obviously Samsung's own features such as Samsung Pay, KNOX, Theme Center, Game Launcher, etc. won't be ported to LineageOS. We may have our own implementation to similar functions, though.
- IMS services (VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc). Samsung has their own proprietary implementation. It is not really possible to easily port that to AOSP.
If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you, Team Resurrection Remix and me quite some time.
Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.
Is not forced, but if this work liked for you, consider buy me a coffee/beer, it will greatly appreciated

I do not support the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ (G928), why? Easy, i do not have it.
Btw, don't tell me "sAr, fIx ThIs IsSuE Plz", "wHeN ETA?" or any another useless question, if you ask something useless, i'll ignore it; I'll fix/solve the issue/bug when i want or if i can, the same as the release of a new builds.

Same issue with my G920F. Maybe is connected to model or bootloader version... My bootloader: G920FXXU6ERF5
Also I played with device tree code and different android flavors. When I tried Bootleggers ROM, which I build with partially removed lineage codes from device tree, I tested only one day, but don't get this issue. Tried to build crDroid in same way (removed lineagehw folder from device/samsung/zero-common and hardware/samsung, in device/samsung/zero-common removed overlay-lineage and edited few files), looks like I don't have this issue, but still testing.

Is there also a way to make the battery last longer
Greetings,
First, thanks to iTz for continuing to support our S6 devices.
I wanted to test RR (Pie) on my S6 (SM-G920W8) so here's what I did (and what happened)...
- installed twrp-3.3.1-0-zerofltecan.img (from previous version twrp-3.3.0-0-zerofltecan.img)
- performed full wipe (advanced wipe, select all partitions, plus format data, then reboot to recovery)
- copy ROM and kernel to phone (from windows computer using USB cable)
- install ROM (RR-P-v7.0.2-20190606-zerofltexx-Unofficial.zip)
- install kernel (zerofltecan-boot.img) selecting "boot" as target
- reboot system, wait...
On 1st boot, the following message appears (as a dialog box)...
Android System
There's an internal problem with your device. Contact your manufacturer for details
OK
Once the dialog box is cleared (OK) the installation appears to have completed and device is identified as SM-G920W8 (in About Phone).
So, before I proceed to continue testing (this time with GApps and Magisk), does anyone know what this message means?
Thanks.
Update...
On reboot to recovery, I performed a factory reset and installed the ROM only (no kernel image), then reboot system...
The (Android System) dialog box does NOT appear, however the the device is identified as SM-G920F (as expected).
Thanks.
Dropping support for G920T/W8 and G925T/W8 due to the hard development that those models needed and without having those devices is more hardest, sorry.

Q:
What you do with cts profile?
I installed the magisk hide props module but bootloopping.
I will update RR every 15 days, every monthly patch or when there is a new RR version available.
