So i've installed this custom os [ROM] [N6F26Q] AOSP Nougat (12 Jan 2017) on my Galaxy s2 plus, and then my DSLR camera connection stopped working (OTG), but the os says it should be compatible with OTG, i'm not sure the DSLR has anything with OTG to do tho?. Now i have googled around and found files neccessary for it to work, installed them and USB Host Controller detected them, still not recognising the camera.
So is there a way to install what's "neccessary" from the original stock firmware into some kind of kernal or "added function" via Custom Recovery or perhaps Odin?
Thanks to anyone that can potentially help to solve this!
This is something you give up when you use aosp. The otg works only if they use the open source version which most do not.
With aosp only the very basic functions will work.
Any custom rom for s2 plus that it works on if you know?
If anyone else have the same issue, it was never a problem with the os, i've tried it on several custom Os aslong as your phone is OTG compatible it works, it seems.
Buy a new OTG Cable and it will work again, or rather say buy the adapter version of it, better then the ****ty cable version that i bought, that broke out of thin air.

Hello! I was redirected here from XDA Assist Forum for the following.
The device i am using is a Kindle Fire HDX 7 32GB running Thor-Gapps-13.3.2.4-v1 ROM.
I've been searching for an answer on how to get an OTG cable to work for my Kindle to play roms. I tried a much older method http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1652800 but with no result. If there is or isn't a method please let me know :highfive: Thank you for taking a look :fingers-crossed:
Huh?
USB OTG isn't enabled on this device. I believe it is at the kernel level and since we don't yet have a released bootloader unlock, all ROMs have to use the stock Fire OS kernel.

Thank you for letting me know
Still the case? Any idea from anyone of the developers if its ever going to be a possibility? I'm about to buy another one due to its perfect physical size for my mod need and I need OTG for an FM Radio.
Hi, i have car stereos that have Android on it and i wonder how to update / flash new rom in to it?
Only info what i can give about the player is these pictures. It has 2 usb ports one in front and one at back
The player has resistive touch screen.
Thank you in advance
^_^
You'll need to be able to get a custom recovery on to it some how. So you need asdcard reader on the device or USB input preferably.
Make and model of the device most helpful.
Truly this is a major undertaking and honestly if you're asking how to do it, you don't have enough knowledge to do it
I have rooted "normal" Android and installed cyanogen on myt Tab 10.1 (the first one) and done some custom rom installations. I hope that some one would know about this device
Hi,
according to GSMArena (https://www.gsmarena.com/one_plus_x-review-1337p3.php) the OnePlus X supports MHL. I recently bought an MHL Adapter, but I can't get it to work. LineageOS 14 (latest nightly) is installed on the phone.
How could I check if the phone or the ROM supports MHL?
The cable definitely works, I have tested it with my tablet.

Why don't you try using stock firmware once? Custom ROMs may not support it since there is very limited use of it. (You could always use a Chromecast)

Because I don't like the stock firmware and the "current" stock firmware is from 2016 (almost a year old) and has a lot of other bugs/security issues. It's still Android 6, whereas with Lineage I'm at the current Android version (7.1.2) and current security patch level as of last week. Lineage also gives me other features, which the stock firmware doesn't provide.

No, I meant taking a nandroid backup of your current ROM with data, flashing OOS and then checking if it works.
It depends on MHL cable. You really should look at MHL's number of pins. As I recall specific cables are working and some don't.

There are 5-pin and 11-pin cables. Samsung uses 11-pin, but OnePlus, Sony and most other manufacturers use 5-pin. I have a 5-pin cable with a 11-pin adapter. The 11-pin adapter won't even fit the phone (without forcing it).
Hello, I recently bought a GT1. I would have liked to switch to Android TV but none of the available roms is compatible with my box, each time it's a brick, forced to flash the basic rom. Looking better, I did not find a compatible ROM with my serial number starting with LPN1. Do you have a track to flash something that works or there is nothing available?
best regards

I just flashed https://www.atvxperience.com/download/s912-v2ff-ddr-lpddr-ram-18-oct-2018/ successfully on mine.. Used the s912_LPDDR_atvXperience_v2FF.img file.. So far so good.. Flashed using USB to USB, and USB burning tool 2.1.6.. Android TV 7.1.2.. LPN1 32g/3g ddr4.. Only one I've found so far but was worried about hard brick so waiting till someone else confirmed it
Edit: Well, not sure now.. Seems every app that I've downloaded (Kodi, Chrome, VLC, the usual) minus showbox works fine but a lot of the apps that were originally on there (atvx apps) just crash out.. May have been a bad flash or I'm missing something simple. Will try reflashing later but it definitely doesn't brick it..
Hi, this version is compatible with the serial number LPN1? By reflashing all your applications work

It doesn't matter what the serial number is. All that matters is the architecture of the components of the ROM you're installing match up with the architecture of the box you have. In your case, any of the ROMs supporting the Amlogic s912 Octocore chipset should work on a Beehive GT1 Ultimate.
It sounds like a mistake you're making in the flashing process that is bricking your device, not the fault of the actual ROM.
Anyone know where to get Android 9.0 firmware for gt1_313M0 ? Is Android 6.0.1 really the final version of Android for this?!?!
Hello everyone,
I am using Samsung A30, stock rom (Android 9, arm64). Samsung allowed downloading the kernel of the phone.
I also have a compatible adapter, Alfa AWUS036H.
But since this is a new age phone, the old methods I found on Google or on XDA does not work anymore. I think I cannot just plug the adapter to the phone and it will play immediately. Need to modify kernel anyway.
So, how to do it?
Thank you.
