I'm new to Rooting. But I recently succeeded in ROM'ing Team Whiskey's Bionix Nextgen V2 (Froyo). I downloaded it and installed it via ROM Manager. I enjoy many aspects of this ROM, but I recently noticed that all incoming calls are automatically sent to Voice Mail (via AutoReject or AutoForward). And I see no sign that a call came in which I missed. I have no problem making outgoing calls.
When I put my SIM into my old phone I could make AND receive calls fine. So my cellphone service provider (Orange Israel) concluded that the problem is in my phone and not with them. Have any other Nextgen V2 users had this problem? Is there something in Settings that I need to change?

Update:
I had Eclair and finally ROM'd my phone. After ROM'ing Team Whiskey's Next Gen v2 I noticed that when I got in incoming call my phone did not ring or vibrate and was automatically sent to voicemail. So I changed to Br1ck'd ZenDroid 2.0.1 and everything was fine for a while. Then I finished restoring all my apps and now I have the same problem again. What app or setting could do this?
I don't think it's anything in the Settings / Call Settings. I've checked that well.

I need a normal Froyo ROM AND a phone that RINGS when I get a call. What do you suggest?
My girlfriends phone is having the same issue on bionix nextgen. If you figure it out please let me know. She does not miss all her call it is just sometimes.
I've had issues receiving calls when listening to music. The music doesn't stop and calls will go to VM.
My phone was originally Eclair but I finally ROM'ed it with Team Whiskey's Next Gen v2. I was happy with that until I noticed that when I got an incoming call my phone did not ring or vibrate; the incoming call was automatically sent to voicemail. I usually have a good cell phone signal, so I don't think that's the problem.

I don't understand what the problem is. I need this phone to work correctly. Do you have any suggestions?

First, you may wish to ask the people who made the ROM on their own forum, in the thread made for the ROM.

That being said, the differences between the most current Froyo ROMs, in my experience (Zendroid, Bi-Winning, Project V, Toxic7, Toxic8, Bionix, Trigger) tend to be rather minor (to a layman like myself at least. The coding may be drastically different, but the day to day operation is very similar) apart from theming which can vary widely. If Team Whiskey doesn't have an answer for you, or can't reproduce your problem, you may want to simply switch to a different Froyo ROM. I've personally had good experiences with Zendroid (minimalist) and Toxic7 & 8 (excellent theming)
Help, I tried to "go backwards". I was on I was on Zendroid 2.0.1. which wasn't working. I thought that "Restoring" to the first ROM Manager Backup (Nandroid?) which I created would take me back to Factory Stock. Now all I get it the "Bali" sunset "splashscreen" and I can't get beyond that. Is this phone bricked? Noooooo, it can't be. What do you suggest I do?

I had this exact problem on an evo 4g, it was Google Voice.
I have never set up Google Voice on my vibrants so I don't know if that is what the problem is for you.
/insert rant about restoring apps and then complaining about how something doesn't work.
I can't stress enough how much less drama you will have with your phone if you quit trying to restore apps from a backup.
I have played around with many AOSP ROMS and keep having people tell me that they are echoing when I am using speakerphone. I understand that this is a known issue that many people are having, but I wanted to see if anyone had an effective fix for this.
I am now on CM10 stable for Galaxy S3 (Sprint). Only certain people tell me that they echo when I'm on speakerphone (not everyone). And it also seems to happen when I am in certain places, like my apartment.
I have read that people have disabled "Call Cancellation" and tweaked the "EQ" settings, however, I cannot find either of these options in my call settings. If these settings exist and I can't find them, could someone tell me where they exist and how I should configure them? If these are not options, what else can I do to avoid the echo problem while on speakerphone?
Thanks in advance.
Hi folks,
I've noticed that problem since day one but it becomes more and more troublesome as more and more of my friends want to use these apps.
The problem is that whenever I speak to someone using Skype/WhatsApp etc they hear an echo of what they say. Mostly I can hear them pretty good and I also don't hear an echo of my voice. It doesn't matter whether I'm on WiFi or cellular network.
Whenever I call someone using the normal dialer app there is no echo and everything works fine.
Does anyone has the same problem and knows how to fix it?
Thanks in advance!
I've searched the different forums for the S3 without luck, so please if this has already been answered let me know what thread.
I am moving from an AT&T branded Tab S to a US Cellular branded Tab S3 on AT&T. I've asked and confirmed they updated the IMEI on the AT&T side to reflect the Tab S3. What I would like to do is get the same calls and texts on the Tab S3 as my S8+. I know I can get other apps like Google Voice to make calls but I would like to connect the Tab as the primary bluetooth device in my car (along with other reasons) so would like in those cases to just use the Tab for all actions.
I know the Tab is not AT&T branded, but wasn't sure if the AT&T Phone Tablet apk has been extracted and possibly installed on another unlocked device.
Have you checked any of the apk sites like apkmirror?
AFAIK there are no phone apps for tablets. The Galaxy Tab S3 I have doesn't have a SIM card but I see the uscellular site has 4GLTE version but my understanding is that is data only, not phone calls. You would have to use any VOIP app like Google Voice, Hangouts, Allo, etc to make "calls" but as a phone and receiving phone calls I don't think the Tab S3 can do what you want unless you are on Project Fi and can use hangouts to receive calls. I know when Project Fi gets a call on my number I can also have hangouts ring on my tablet. But I think that is Project Fi specific. I'm not aware of any ATT app that can provide that functionality.
Thanks @aspexil I was looking for something similar to what the AT&T branded Tab S has. There's a phone app that when clicked launches their NumberSync configuration so calls from your phone can be routed to the tablet if needed. I'll check apkmirror and see if anything comes up!
@alfredtv if you still have the Tab S you could get the apk from there? There are plenty of tools and sites that describe how to do that even on a non-rooted device. Good luck it sounds like a neat app.
Hi there!
I am currently strongly in need of a application that adds a recall button on incoming call screen.
That will cut and recall the incoming call no. after few seconds.
I tried searching but haven't found one.
Hope will get one . . . .
BTW Thanks in Advance!
