Is it possible to install a custom rom of any sort that has oem unlock option available with a locked bootloader?
?? sadly not that I know...
I'm on the Galaxy forever program so I get the brand new Galaxy but I miss flashing ROMs so bad!
Actually thinking about going ahead and going through the hole lease for my S9 plus I love this phone so much so I can get an unlock code from Sprint so I can start flashing some amazing ROMs that I'm sure are out there!
If anybody's got some tips or tricks for an old school r0m alcoholic have fun with his new fancy or toys please shoot me a message!!
Yawn...

If you have a locked bootloader, you cannot boot custom binaries, so no it's not possible.
What are you trying to achieve?

Trying to get oem unlock enabled asap. It's been 12 days for me and still no luck. Have exynos version. Im not 100% sure what project treble is but I thought it might have been something, and you said custom binaries. Is there a stock Samsung rom that has oem unlock already enabled that I can flash somehow?
I have a factory one from Best Buy works on all carriers just no OEM what should I do?

Flashing an official ROM will only reset your counter back to 7 days.
This is because your RMM state is 'Prenormal' You can check this value in download mode.
In your case, Sounds like the counter hasn't started. Probably because you didn't insert a SIM or login to your Samsung Cloud account. You'll have to do this for the counter to start.

Even if it was there you can do nothing with it, you bought a device with a locked bootloader.

you can reboot your phone, go into download mode and even turn your phone off, it does not effect the counter that starts when you first "go to jail".
You don't even need a SIM Card in the phone -I took the Sim out of my S8 plus and it still got the OEM unlock option back after 7 days.
In fact it is possible you need to reboot first - then check OEM to see if it has returned. I know I did. When My S8 went to jail - after 7 days the OEM was not back when it should have been. I rebooted the phone and it was there after that.
Good luck my friend.

Here is the engineering bootloader/kernel for the Sprint Note 7 (N930P). This will not flash in any Odin version I've tried, including the newest 3.12.4. This was pulled straight from the legit TAR image, but attempting to flash the TAR or just the boot.img gives a Secure Check Failed : boot message in Odin. I have managed to flash it with dd in adb with our "userdebug" software leak (PH3), but upon booting, it gives the message below.
Hopefully one of you other talented people will have a solution to flashing this ...
Good luck bro! ?

literally all i wanted was root i dont really care about custom roms anymore. goodluck freeza, i used your kernel on my tmo note 4 and it was a beast. Ill send you some weed money.
This is strange, are you sure it's eng boot.img cause I get all eng boot.img before someone release them publicly, I had att eng boot.img for all models and T-Mobile s7 s7 edge... So if it was true eng boot.img it shouldn't give this error, it would just fail and not flash do to it either being patched or new software rev

Hello, I want to order this phone for my birthday, because my previous phone (Galaxy S3 Neo) isn't that good anymore. The only problem is that, there are many places I could order this phone, but a lot of them have bad reviews. What I am looking for is the Snapdragon version, with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. I believe it's a kenzo device (correct if I am wrong). I prefer tax free and faster shipping. Also, will this phone work with my provider? My provider is Tele2 Lithuania, I've checked many places but there are so many versions of this phone, I just can't find the correct one.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Easy via EDL. If you are new in flashing, it can be confusing. You can unlock the bootloader and flash via fastboot or recovery. Unlock bootloader request in PIA process and it usually take 10-20days after receiving the unlock permission from Xiaomi.

Without bootloader unlock: You can't do anything, be it flashing twrp or flashing custom roms. You can only flash MIUI stock roms via EDL with Mi flash tool. Bootloader unlock doesn't void warranty for Xiaomi phones so I find no reason why someone wouldn't unlock the bootloader.

Hi.
I was on Nexus experience after I had unlocked officially and had a hardware problem.so, I wanted to try stock again to check if the SD card wasn't working on custom ROMs. I couldn't restore a backup I had, so I had to flash miui in edl mode.
I did that and was on global stable. Now I wanted to try a nougat ROM. I checked if the bootloader was still unlocked and it wasn't.
The problem is that I can't reunlock it again using mi flash, as it says that my device can't be unlocked ... What should I do?

Hey everybody, I had recently purchased a Redmi Note 4 (SD).
I had applied for bootloader unlock permission and was granted it. I also switched to the Dev version of MIUI. I have enabled OEM unlocking, but under MIUI Unlock status section, when I try add account and device, I get an error code 86012 followed by a Chinese error message. Due to this, the Mi Flash application fails at 50%. I have attached a screenshot of the error below
Any help or explanation to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

The dev version of the ROM can be installed using the updater app. You can download the zip and from the updater app select it as the update package. For this you need not use the dfx cable or have an unlocked bootloader.
The only scenario where the cable is needed is when you want to access fastboot when the bootloader is locked and you use EDL mode to flash

Huawei stopped giving unlock codes for unlocking. Anyway there is no point of unlocking bootloader, because there is no custom roms
To unlock bootloader just use:

Klem.. You are wrong. There are a few roms available for the phone which, of course, require an unlocked bootloader. So. IF you have an unlock code, there are roms for international versions: US devices are limited at the moment. IF you don't have a code, then you are unable to flash anything.
