Hi,
at the beginning, I'm newbie in Wear Os.
I have problems with connecting to the internet by bluetooth, for example I cannot use Play Store or Wear Browser. When I'm home and my smartwatch is connected to Wi-Fi, issue disappears.

You can try to Force Close your Wear OS app on your mobile. And try to reconnecting. Hope its help.
If your watch is paired with an Android phone and has Wi-Fi, your watch can automatically connect to saved Wi-Fi networks when it loses the Bluetooth connection with your phone.
This lets your watch and phone to automatically stay synced at any distance over the Internet.
That way, you can get notifications and use voice search on your watch throughout your home and work even when you leave your phone in a different room. Press the middle pusher button to power up display.
Press the middle pusher button to enter the app menu. Scroll and tap on Settings. Tap on Connectivity. Tap on Wi-Fi. Tap on Wi-Fi off, to turn it on. When on, the Wi-Fi should say Automatic. If Wi-Fi is set to Automatic, your watch will automatically connect to any known, available network when your watch does not have a Bluetooth connection to your phone.
Tap on Add network. Scroll to find your network and tap. Power on phone and start Wear OS by Google app. Tap Enter on phone to complete password entry. Enter password on phone.

Got my gear s and my note 4.
Great devices.
So- I have a few questions and can't seem to find answers.
1) when I'm connected via Bluetooth - all my calls from the gear appear to be made via my phone? Correct?
2) If Bluetooth and WiFi is on, and then I turn off Bluetooth on the watch-the two will pair with WiFi and have same situation as #1 above? Which is better? WiFi or Bluetooth if my statement is correct.
3) if I turn off WiFi and Bluetooth.... Can the phone and the watch interact? (via 3g/4g)? Or am I purely on the standalone phone?
4) if I leave the phone home (similar q to #3) I know I can forward my calls so my watch will ring when phone called. Also, the watch will ring when watch called. But- how can I get my text messages from my phone? Is it only possible to get texts sent to watch number?
Thanks in advance!

1) yep
2) yep, or if you wander out of range of bt on phone, but still have wifi connection and phone is still on. BT uses less power, so it's preferred if available.
3) um. yes, basically uses 3G instead of wifi IF phone is still on.
4) as long as phone is on, it's the same as #3 above. If phone is off, then calls (and only calls) get forwarded to watch.
Thanks found my issue. Weak mobile signal at house. Can't connect remotely. Bummer.
if your connected to bt, and mobile network is on (on watch)... Does mobile network burn battery? Does the process use watches 3-/4g?
You can force the watch to dial using the internal sim always (I have done this) the option is under the call settings on the watch menu.
To sync watch and phone when they are separated from WiFi and bluetooth you need to make sure you have enabled the option to sync via your samsung account on the phone in gear manager - not sure if this is ticked by default
Regarding battery usage with mobile on - I have my mobile network switched on constantly (turned off the auto on/off function) and set to connect at 2G speeds only. I easily get 24hrs of use with this. The auto on/off function will enable or disable mobile network when required.
For 90% of the day I am connected using bluetooth. I have mine set to auto call forward when I am out of bluetooth range.
Hi All,
Somebody have a any idea or hack for turn on the torch of an Android via IP?
For a wildlife photographic project I need to control the torchs of two old Android from my own Android. I will stay in the mountain, the old android have not SIM card (no 3G) and no bluetooth.
I have probing with Tasker and Wifi Zone:
- Turn ON Wifi Zone on my phone
- Tasker switches the light when the new Wifi is detect.
This works, but fail too much:
- Is very slow (when I activate Wifi zone) the other phones takes about 30 seg - 3 min on detect and connect.
- In one or two hours the devices tend to sleep and not connecting anymore
I think what the most usefull will keep the phones connected at my phone via Wifi Zone and controlling the lights via IP with tasker or similar.
Any suggestions are wellcome.
Thank you.
Hello, for quite some time I have problem with connecting WiFi to my Android TV. I tried everything, from Android reset, router reset, changing password, WiFi name, changing from DHCP to static IP, installing WiFi apps like Avast WiFi manager and nothing helped. The exact problem is that WiFi is disconnecting only when I open any app. For example, I connect WiFi normally and I check connection on router and router see that Android is connected so everything should be ok. But when I open YouTube, main page is just loading and at one point it says there is no connection, after leaving app WiFi icon that is showing signal strenght shows very low signal, only one dot. After turning WiFi off and on everything is normal again until I open an app. About notifications I am receiving them so that means that TV is successfully connected to internet until I open an app. This is weirdest problem I ever had since I am using Android devices and Internet. My TV have MBX S812 with B.S805 chipset. It have 1GB RAM/8GB ROM with Mali 450 card. Android version is 4.4.2 with kernel version 3.10.33. About recovery mode this Android box don't have it at all. There is reset button but it's not opening recovery mode it just resets Android. Android is not rooted. After reseting Android I can't even sign in to Google Account because when he tries to use WiFi to sign in it say there is no connection. I really don't know what else I can do now. I hope I provided enough info. Sorry for long text and thanks in advance!
What you need: Monitor / TV with HDMI, Chromecast, Two Android devices one of which can have an active hotspot and the other needs only wifi.
I am not going to explain how to connect to chromecast in detail. You can find that with a google search if you don't know how already.
I'll refer to the android phones as phone 1 (active hotspot) and phone 2 (only needs wifi).
Press the reset button on the chromecast to start fresh.
Turn on the hotspot on phone 1
Connect to phone 1's hotspot on phone 2 by finding the hotspot's name and using its password.
Download and install Google Home on phone 2.
On phone 2, open Google Home and create a new HOME and name it anything you want.
Find "set up new device" in the same Google Home and continue to set up the Chromecast device by letting the search find it.
Use "other wifi" in the list that appears for connecting with Chromecast which will let you enter the HOTSPOT name and password. That's the only place that will see your phone 1's hotspot.
VERY IMPORTANT STEP enable GUEST MODE which is in the Google Home settings.
Now the connection should start to complete and establish. You are done with phone 2 and don't even need it anymore.
Turn off / unplug the chromecast. Before you turn it on again, go back to Phone 1 and make sure Hotspot is on. (I didn't need to turn off my home router but maybe some people might, IDK).
Now turn on or plug back in Chromecast. It should connect pretty quickly to you hotspot on phone 1.
Turn on cast screen or just go to the app you want to cast if it has its own cast icon.
It should cast for you as it does for me.
Maybe you have audio without picture on Netflix. I had that when I just turned on cast screen, but then by tapping the cast Icon in the Netflix app that issue was solved.
Now you should be able to take that chromecast and phone 1 anywhere you want and have it work without Wi-FI.
GOOD LUCK
Hi, this only allows me to cast from apps like youtube and netflix. I can't cast my phone screen to CC as my phone is now acting as the hotspot. Is this right? I tried for an hour to cast my phone screen but it just won't connect with the CC.
Thank you.
Hi guys,
Weird problem:
Since I'm on Android 12, my Nord 2 loses internet connection on open wifi networks.
On Android 11, never had a problem. I choose the open wifi at work ''AZ-D guest'' (free Wi-Fi from the hospital), and stayed connected all day.
Since A12, once I connect to the same open wifi at work, the pop up screen asks to agree the policy and I can use the network a few minutes. After a screen off and unlock screen, the wifi stays connected, but notifies ''no internet''
Forget network and reconnect: no pop up screen appears to reconnect, only solution is restart the phone...
Same problem with the free WiFi network from my internet provider called ''Telenet Hotspot'', also one time able to connect, but after a few minutes of inactivity, stays WiFi connected, but 'no internet'
Tried already:
- reset Network settings
- change private DNS to cloudflare or Google DNS , or without DNS
- disabled 'standby optimisation during sleep'
- use static AP
- use device MAC address
Nothing helps...
Any solutions?

No option, I like my OS up to date, not easy with this device's late update policy
