Hello everyone. I hope this is the appropiate section. I cant describe it well enough cause english isnt my mother language and i dont use it alot. My brothers Xperia E4g have a really wierd problem for some time now. When he gets a call, notification or an alarm goes off, sound start dissapearing and appearing untill touchscreen gets unresponsive or whole phone restarts itself. I dunno if you understand me but i hope you do. I did reflash the firmware with flashtool and problem is still there so i kinda doubt its a software problem. When we play music on it or test speaker in service menu everything is ok, problem starts with a ringtone, notification or alarm, not always tho, sometime everything is fine. We went to a friend who work with phones for years and he doesnt have a clue what could be wrong, its a first time he sees it. I also have to mention that the screen is cracked, he got it like that a year ago and didnt want to change it, but everyting else works fine except touch in few places. Anyone have some ideas maybe? I got some problems with my u20i x10 Mini Pro. It was stuck in some boot loop like 1 month ago and I tried to reflash it with SEUS and this flaher App thing thousands of times. I did not have a little bit of success so i gave it up 3 weeks ago. Since then i had my phone laying under my desk without the battery. Today I decided to try it again and, GOD KNOWS WHY, it started up normally. So i finished the startup wizard and everything worked fine. Then i rooted it with superoneclick (my phone had A.0.6 FW), rebooted and everything worked just fine. Then I wanted to sign in to my wireless network and for some reason it did not work, but whatever. After like half an hour my phone started lagging really hard and suddenly the screen went black. I tried to push all the buttons and the screen went bright for a very little while and went black again. And this point it was like it was turned off. So i tried to turn it on and, guess what, its stuck in a boot loop! YAY! Now my phone is lying in front of me and all i can see is the only white SONY ERICSSON logo.
Seriously what has happened? Anyone knows how to fix that?

UPDATE:
Now I am facing a new problem. My device turns "on", I can see the white SE logo, then the screen goes black but for some odd reason the touchscreen is reacting at the lower left and right parts of the screen. I can even dial a number (i hear the beeps) when I press twice at the lower left corner and then tapping at the display. But well, i guess thats not how the phone should work. So did any one also face this problem? Do you have a solution for that?

Hello!
Well... I have this phone since yesterday... I plugged to the computer with Kies, and well, a update was available... now the phone have Froyo and the aesthetics changed completely, it looks awesome.
But, the phone have this ANNOYING problem that, after using it... like 5~10 minutes of no activity, when I try to use the phone again it doesnt work... doesn't respond to any button, I have to take off the battery in order to restart it and that over and over again...
I've realized also that this happens when I'm using wifi, if I left the phone with wifi on this happens, without wifi seems to work fine.
Somebody have any clue what could be? there's little information about this issue in the internet...
I think I'm going to return it but I want to try everything I can do (without voiding the warranty) since the phone was perfect for what I wanted.

Hey. I got the same problem here. It only happened a few times when I just had froyo that came stock on my galaxy 5 but I recently installed cyanogenmod 7 and now its happening everytime I put my phone down.
So I'm guessing it may be directly related to what rom is installed? I've heard about it happening a bit to people who have 2.1 installed to.
I dont know too much but it seems the only fix is to take out battery and turn on.
Sorry I can't help more. I hope somebody knows a bit more than me on this.
Think this is called something like the 'wifi sleep of death', something to do with the rom. i'd try change the rom and see if it still occurs
Thanks for the hints tho!, but I returned the phone... it seems that is a bug related to the update of the phone, since I know that with the out of the box 2.1 version it doesn't have that issue...
You know, the mobile carriers also do weird stuff to the roms... -__-

i recently changed from HD2 to SGS2 and im really new about how things work on this side..
My Problems are:
I receive the same SMS multiple times.. It usually stops when i get another SMS but then it continues with that new one..
When screen is off (standby) i dont receive any calls.. It keeps ringing on the other side but i dont see anything on the phone.. Just when i have the phone beside any radio or speakers, i hear that something is coming (you know that mecanic sound that comes from PC speakers etc.), but there is nothing on the phone.. Also same for the SMS'es, i get the SMS'es after i turn the screen on..
When in standby, it shuts off the Wifi, even if i set up the Sleep Policy to never..
So i suppose, the phone shuts almost any radio, when in standby (maybe something like flight mode).. And i dont know what are those related to ? Should i just change the kernel (if so, which one ?) or completely change the ROM and everything..?
My Phone has currently Android 2.3.3 (i think it is an official standard rom)
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKE7
Mobile Company: SIMYO - Germany

My problem started a week ago, same symptoms. I also noticed that one of my apps was stalling, Total call recorder. Just uninstalled it and the problem have been solved for an hour right now. Ill keep you updated when more time has past.

i had the problem always, even after hardreset, so i think it wasnt a software problem..
i gave the phone for repair on 14. sept. and im still waiting.. it came aready 2 times as "repaired" but the problem was still there..
i dont know if im unlucky or if samsung sucks..! either way im waiting for more than 3 months and dont know what else i can do..

Ok my phone has an at&t froyo i just install superuser, slide loading, the weptop hack and the sim unlocked.
I'm using spb 3d launcher and every time i do a restart it seems that the spb it's working on his on, if a let it awake charging some times it's go to some shortcut like if i press it but i didn't (that didn't bother me too much ).
but two days ago one part of the top of the touch screen stop working i can't select the shortcuts on the top of the screen. and yersterday the phone got possessed and start opening thinks randomly. i just uninstall spb and it seems to stop with the gibberish. but today it's the same i can't use phone because i just simple touch the screen and it start again with the gibberish movements.
i'm going to do a restore and i if that fix the gibberish but the part of the screen that doesn't respond is what i worry the most. I'm from Tijuana, Mexico i buy the atrix on craiglist from some guy in san diego, ca. he said that the phone was warranty until feb 2012.

Sounds like a hardware problem.

I am having the same issue, this was on CM7 only flashed yesterday and then I tried to restore my backup rom and this has the same issue??
Hope someone can sort out the problem.
It sounds like a hardware problem in which you should;
A) buy a whole new screen and install it (they will give you the tools to take it apart)
B) Send it back to Motorola if you haven't voided your warranty by unlocking the phone
or
C) this is a long shot as I do think it is hardware related, you should try this fix just to be sure that it is a hardware problem. Mind you this will do nothing more than refresh the .pds file that affects the touchscreen. Touchscreen fix!

I have taken my phone in for repair(Not a official MOTO repairer) and I just got a phone call, he believes it is a software issue? I am not convinced, because I have tried 4 different roms? He said he is going to format/wipe phone. I told him I have installed roms to replace software and I thought that this would wipe/replace software problem?
Anyway I guess, I will found out if it sorts out the random screen movement and widget press?

I got the phone back yesterday, all working ok.
I quickly broke it again by trying to install a stock rom and then root it, but it introduced the same random screen/widget issues(I tried wipe/format, but no good?). I then install 2 custom rom, CM7 and Aura and I still had problems, then I install HomeBase and problem has been sorted. Have no idea why it fixed the issue just happy it is fixed. Just to have refrain from installing other roms......for now anyway

I spoke to soon, last night it started the random screen judder and random widget pressing.....
I am not sure what is going on....I've had the phone for about 12 days now(second hand from eBay) and for the first 4-5 days the phone was fine. I then installed CM7 and for about 12-24 hours the phone was ok. Then the random screen/widget issues happened. Did many, many wipe's/formats of various roms and all these issue occurred more or less straight away.
Then I installed HomeBase and for about 6-8 hours, all was ok until lastnight. I guess it is either new motherboard time or new phone time....

I have x10 mini pro, that acts very weird. When Iam on phone with someone, xperia starts turning on and of my microphone, sometimes it turn on loud speaker and display is turning of and on ... My suspicion was, that the proximity sensor is somehow damaged, so I send it to service. After few weeks, they told me, that everything is okay and there is no glitch with phone. But they were wrong, glitch was still there ... Next day I send xperia to service again, again they didn't find anything. I tried to send phone to service at least 8 times, but the result still the same, they just restarted phone to factory setting...
Now Iam wondering if update to new custom rom (e.g. CM9) would solve this problem?
After all these factory resets, experia is hardcore slow, so I need to do something with phone, because it is unusable ...

Hi I have the same problem, I will say it now ITS THE PHONE it has always been like this since day one, does your phone act strange when you charge it as well? Mine does.

Well it does, Iam little bit sad about that. Phone is still in guaranty, but I dont know why the original service isn't able to find out that problem. Iam going to try to write to Sony and will see. Have you tried to flash your device to custom rom?
