face id for redmi 5 plus - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 / 5 Plus Questions & Answers

Hey guys hope u doin well
Welcome to this tutorial on how to get
Face I'd / face unlock on redmi note 5/ (Vince)
prerequisite
1: unlocked bootloader
2:rooted stock ROM it should be on Miui 9/9.5.4.0
Global stable ROM (skipable /not mandatory)
( In my case it's Indian stable ROM)
3: twrp recovery installed / custom recovery
Let's start
1:go download the necessary zip files from links down below
2: power off your device
3: press and hold power+volume up simultaneously
To boot into recovery
4: locate the ( 1) zip file and flash
"Lib.face-id.zip" - to enable face unlock
5: if u want to revert back perform steps 2,3
Then locate (2) zip file
"Settings_original.zip and flash
Any assistance is greatly appreciated

U can try it ..but I would suggest to have it on stable ROMs

I flashed this zip and everything about face unlock works great!! but the Full Screen Gesture option is now missing from the settings. So I decided to flash the second zip to restore the settings and now my settings app crashes at start.
Am using Redmi Note 5 with MIUI 9.5 Stable

Hi, on redmi 5 Plus after update to xiaomi.eu stable 9.5.5.0(NECNFA) face id crash when you try to register face data, have you any idea ? Thanks

Its my humble request to move to latest miui.eu rom therby getting the feature at work

Miui 10 will bring native support of face id and camera portrait
So , waiting is that we can do
