HELP!!
TLDR:
I bricked pixi 4-6 8050e by flashing it with SPFT [format all + download] option. Can't go into fastboot, but I can still flash using SPFT). Help please!
At first I was just trying to get root. So I needed to unlock BL the flash recovery (twrp).
But recovery image was wrong so I was stuck at bootloop. I found that there is another working recovery (ctr).
I flashed again, but I'm still stuck at bootloop! At this point all I want is to get the device working, root be damned!
So I tried to find a stock ROM and extract the recovery.img from it. I flashed the stock ROM with SPFT, but I'm still on bootloop.
At this point I'm sweating a lot, but I can still access fastboot.
Then I tried to flash the WHOLE stock ROM by using SPFT [download] option.
After that, I was still stuck at bootloop. Worse, the boot animation for alcatel is now ****ed up, it is not showing properly!
I don't know what to do, I downloaded another stock rom, only to find out that it has the exact same files by using hash checker.
I flashed it 1st with [Download] option but nothing changed.
So I flashed again using [Format All + Download] option on SPFT. This is where I really ****ed up. I now can't even access fastboot! But I can still flash using SPFT.
I downloaded final ROM from xda, but again, it has the same exact files! I again tried to flash it, but nothing still works, cannot even go to fastboot.
I even downloaded Alcatel's mobile upgrade s program to fix, but it says "Read terminal information failed". I'm guessing that it the downloaded preloaded.img from the supposedly stock rom is wrong.
I don't know what to do next.
Please help! If any of you have a stock image that is not the same with kirito9's (link), please I NEEED IT!

Got my Z Ultra yesterday (£235 C6806) bargain!
I've rooted many a phone in the past and dealt with the dreaded S-OFF that HTC had but for the first time I actually had a brown trousers moment and I'm wondering if anyone could explain a couple of things for me?
I accidentally flashed a 4.4.2 ROM, this booted up but failed to connect to wifi and had a load of wierd issues, I then re-flashed the recovery img file which ended up in the device not booting, all i got was a colourful 'pacman roms' image. With enough manic button pushing I got back into recovery but found the USB mount storage option does not show the device up on my PC, Thank god its got an SD slot as without this I guess it would have been a flash to stock ordeal. I finally managed to install the 4.4.4 GPe Rom after getting into the recovery and now when I power up it has the usual 'google' logo.
So if I want to flash a ROM etc. I have to flash the .img file for a recovery? It's not permanent? Or should I have the recovery on there all the time?
Im assuming I will have fastboot access if required?
Thanks for any help just dont want to get into another panic attack with this thing!

Its not a HTC device , recovery is not flashed separate like on those devices.
You simply flash a SONY based kernel file with recovery in fastboot if you are right now on a SONY rom. And away you go. You will then be able to reboot in to recovery. After you flash a rom, the kernel and recovery will be changed out to what is included in the .zip file. :good:
Hello. As the title says, I need help flashing a recovery to my Sony Xperia Z Ultra (c8606) with unlocked bootloader. I have tried using FlashTool to flash the TWRP img file found on their website. I connect the phone to fastboot mode, click on Select Kernel to Flash, and select the file labeled: twrp-2.8.5.0-togari. The file flashes, but always softbricks my phone (The LED light flashes red when it is plugged in, and holding down the power button only causes the phone to vibrate briefly every couple seconds). This forces me to re-flash a FTF file (C6806_14.5.A.0.242_Customized USA.ftf) to unbrick. I have tried flashing other kernels (108_DualRec_Jackie099) and other FTF files (C6806_14.3.A.0.681 US_Unbranded.ftf), with the same result.
Can anyone tell me what the problem is and what do I do? I want TWRP recovery installed on my phone (preferably the one found on their website), but everything I have tried just bricks my phone.
Please help me!
Okay, this is a bit complicated TWRP must be flashed to the fota partition of the phone, either using the fastboot command "fastboot flash FOTAKernel image.img" or, if you have rooted your ZU, then install an app called Rashr, open it and install TWRP from the app, just follow the instructions BUT it is useless on stock roms because the stock kernel doesn't support loading a recovery from the fota partition, although all AOSP and CM based roms supports it and there also was a stock kernel that supported it, I have forgotten its name. You were trying to flash the recovery as the main kernel but the system obviously can't boot from it, that is the root of the problem, it would be perfect if it were working that way
Regards
If you're trying to flash recovery or kernels you can use rashr on the play store. If you want twrp download nuts flushable recovery and flash it with twrp manager on the play store.
Hi! I've managed to brick my device (d610ar) badly, i think
the device doesn't boot normally (message "Secure booting error! Cause: boot certification verify.", and i am stuck there), can't charge it with the wall charger, and the only thing that works is download mode; but flashing a kdz with LG FlashTool (the way i went back to stock a few times) says flashing and at 2% (or 3% sometimes) it says that doesn't find the device, that i have pull out the battery to reconnect my device again and when i do that it does the same thing on a loop, asking to do it again later..
the funny thing is that it appears on device manager on windows, on com port 11 for example, but the FlashTool doesn't recognize it..
so, i can't flash any kdz and doesn't boot.. i've read around here in xda to enter fastboot to fix it, but.. can this device enter fastboot? i couldn't do it, tried adb too and couldn't make the device visible..
i, before this happened, had multirom installed, rebooted to recovery and deleted secondary roms to install in primary rom cm12.1.. there started to happen strange things when rebooted normally to configure it..
after a while trying to boot found around here in xda too that i could enter twrp recovery via hardware keys to reinstall again, so got into it and installed a flashable zip to come back to stock KitKat directly, that have worked for me before..
after that rebooted and i can't do anything else than download mode..
i kinda figured that the problem must be that multirom injected the boot sector after installing the stock flashable zip, and when i did that restored the stock aboot and abootb (these, modified carefully, allowed us to unlock bootloader and flash recoveries, etc, etc.. ; by the way, many thanks to the devs that discovered it and made the guides!)..
now i have read the instructions for flash via fastboot the stock boot.img and so pass the security verification, but i can't enter it..
so, what do you think that could be the next step? or is it really hard bricked and i should forget about it? i'm really hoping to recover it but i don't know what else to do..
sorry for the bad english, not my primary language
thanks for reading and i am hoping to hear some suggestions!
He is not hard bricked you need to flash stock boot and reunlock bootloader if you have custom recovery still installed, but go first with the eazy way search xda about lg flash tool stuck at 2% there some guides to help you get kdz flashed
Thank you very much!

Thank you very much! You made me realize why wasn't working..
Because of you, i started to search threads related with the "flashtool stuck at 2%" and one of the things to look at was a txt file to see what was the problem.. there i found out that the lg FlashTool recognized my device as LGD618..
That's when i realized that i must've messed up when i flashed a lollipop flashable zip for the D618(a while ago), "converting" my cellphone on that model.. so when i connected on download mode and put the LGD610 kdz the comparison of cellphone model and binary model didn't match..
Solution was to flash LGD618 kdz, boot up normally, install towelroot, install supersu, edit a line on build.prop
from persist.multisim.config=dsds to persist.multisim.config=none
rebooted and that's it.. everything works perfectly now! i won't be doing stuff to it for a while
probably will stay stock like that, because now i will be using an OnePlus One in a few days and the G2 mini will be used by my mother, i think..
Thanks again! You saved my device for being bricked forever
i glad i could helped you :good:
I tried installing kitkat having installed lollipop and did not work, also I tried installing lollipop and nothing. Well I think this update lollipop are adding some kind of lock to disallow downgrade or upgrade by KDZ. I try other methods, unlocking bootloader, and install a aboot.img, bricked my phone. I recommend that you do not attempt to unlock the bootloader and install any system image that is not official, or may end up with a dead device.
This friday I got my tablet(lenovo tab 2 a7-10f). Yesterday I decided to install better rom on it. I rooted my device and installed twrp recovery. Unfortunally I didn't quite realize the importance of making back up and the fact that you can't flash this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/rom-orionlp-v1-8-lenovo-tab-2-a7-10f-t3480918
on android 4.4. My device loops "lenovo powered by android" screen. I can boot it into TWRP recovery. I have been googling today for a whole day and I havent find any rom to flash it. I tried this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...-stock-lollipop-5-0-roms-lenovo-tab2-t3418835
and I think thing like this for a KiKat (through twrp, probably that's why it doesnt work) .I couldn't quite boot it into fastboot and I can't use sp flash propely or it just simply doesn't work for me. Please help me to find any rom to flash it from twrp, since I am too stupid to do anything different way.
In short it loops, I can boot it to twrp, I just want to unbrick it. The ultimate goal is to propely install this *first link*
Thanks in advance!

There is a way to flash a now rom with SP flash tool although you can't use sp flash tool propely.
You must open the lid of the tablet and unplugin the battery
(to unpluin the battery simply pull out this)
Then open your SP flash tool, load the scatter file of the rom, press download button, plugin the battery and your pc will start dowloading the rom normally.
Just a little disclaimer: I am an ABSOLUTE NOOB at this stuff and I just followed tutorials and guides; no experience whatsoever and I badly need your help
It all started when I wanted to root my phone. So I decided to install a custom recovery on the phone first(CWM to be exact). I flashed the recovery.img file and soft bricked my phone. I managed to fix it easily just by erasing recovery by using adb. Afterwards, recovery was accessible again. Since I couldn't do it that way, I tried downloading the phone's latest firmware from ASUS' website and pulled the boot.img out of it and patched it with Magisk. Flashed it and boom, bricked my phone. I tried fixing it the same way I did with the recovery.img but it didn't work. I even tried erasing it and flashing the original boot.img file I pulled out of the firmware file I got from ASUS' website, but it wouldn't work; it would boot up, show the ASUS logo, then shut off. Please, tell me there's a way through this, and btw the phone's bootloader was unlocked for sure; I used ASUS bootloader unlocker from the website. I have all firmware files already downloaded in case I need 'em.
UPDATE: I flashed a boot.img form an older firmware file from the same website and it kinda worked. It boots now and it seems to be stuck on the Zenfone logo now :/
Hey. I remember that you can boot into adb mode and then do
adb sideload "yourfirmware.zip"
The instruction holds true for earlier zenfones. See if it works here.
I have the same phone, but is dead, no recovery, no fastboot mode, no screen.
What can i do?. My pc just detect QDloader driver help plz.
