Hey, I have problem with updating my H850 (I think that it is a Portugal version) for new android 7. When I manually check for OTA updates, it says that there is no new update for me. When i try to use LG Bridge, I end with error message: "Cannot check the sofware version. Try Again". Is there any solution?
You can install a kdz file with lgup.
I have 20c with this program.
Same problem from Spain, problems with the lg server?
The same problem in Germany too with LG Bridge but i updated with lg up to 20a and than to 20c

How did you download v20c, and is it unbranded?
Unbranded I downloaded the KDZ
Same happens to greece, its propably the lg servers that have the problem.
Maybe they are updating the servers for an OTA?
Servers return to work, updated to 20a by OTA in Spain
Dammm, still no update :/
Today I had the OTA update message to v20a, but I refused it.
Please some questions:
1) an OTA update makes a factory reset, and encrypt data partition again also?
2) I will lost root (I guess so) and TWRP recovery ?
Thank you.
Update arrived yesterday via LG Bridge
i recently purchased t mobile lg v10 h901. Its on 5.1 and when i check the software update it says that your software is up to date. I have read that marshmallow and nougat were released for this device. Can anyone help me to update it to MM or Nougat

Or shall i get any updates like security patches etc or Android 9, when it officially release for LG h930ds?

H930DS has official Oreo.
Australia, Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia. Many more. All H930DS, all with official Oreo KDZ.
WHICH H930DS are you referring to?
If your region ever gets Oreo, just flash that KDZ via LGUP.

By the way, if you want India VoLTE, flash the PHL OREO KDZ I posted down in the development section.
When will the Middle East vesion receive the oreo update? I even have a V20 H990ds that didn't receive oreo yet. Can I use an alternative version of oreo and install it manually?
If yours is an H850, you can install the KDZ or (if you can unlock the bootloader) the flashable version of Oreo.
You find both here
For the V20 I don't know, but if there is a flashable zip or a KDZ for your specific model, you can flash it as well.
Where can I find the kdz?
Are you serious? I put a link to the KDZ in the previous post.
Sorry the browser didn't get it as a link... Thank you
Hi guys, I just picked up a used LG G5 RS988 and it is on Android version 6.0.1 (RS98810a). When I check for updates it shows none. However, I have an LG G5 VS987 that is on Android 8.0.0. I understand that normal channel updates may no longer be available (and the Verizon version provided updates in a different way), but is there a simple(ish) way to flash a more recent stock Android version?
Answered my own question! Downloaded LG Bridge from lg.com and using it to install more recent Android version(s). I'll post the final version once the update is done.
OK, LG Bridge allowed me to install RS98810h ... additionally, I found this super-helpful thread and have all the tools installed to flash the newest firmware ( LG-RS98821a-Flashable.COMPLETE-ARB01.zip ) - I just wanted to confirm it is safe to go from 10h to 21a directly. If someone could confirm that, I'd appreciate it!
