Samsung Galaxy S9+ Snapdragon Gcam Development? - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

Hi everyone,
I am wondering if there are any developers that are either looking to or are in the process of creating a reliable, tinting issue-less gcam HDR+ port for the Samsung Galaxy S9+ . I am asking this because I have been very disappointed with the quality of the pictures that the S9+ takes. Colour skewed, washed out, grainy, the list goes on and on. I would be more than willing to start a go fund me page for someone that is able to develop this and I'm sure that a lot of you would be interested in supporting them too. Please let me know if you or someone you know of would like to work on this project.
Thanks

[Q] App for true HDR?

Hi all,
I am new here and I think that this thread should maybe posted in developement...
So, I really would like to shoot real HDR Pics as "HDR Camera" does, and I also contacted the developers but they say it must be a Driver issue at our camera because they can set exposure but in reality all pics were taken eith the same exposure... Is someone knowing an app which has managed to set exposure on Galaxy 3 or knows someone who can have a look at our cam drivers?
Greetings

Looking for exynos Gcam for selfie only

Is there a working exynos gcam for the selfie camera?
Its the only one im interested for. I don't care about the night mode etc. Only want better results with the front camera.
I can't believe after all this time all we got for exynos are the three different apps which don't work for everyone from the other thread. I thought these devices were actively developed on.
I've been looking as well. Several times a week I took group selfies for events I organize, I haven't done this since I upgraded from S7 to S10e Exynos.
Half the devs have the snapdragon version and the other half are waiting for a price drop
As far as i know, there is no working HDR+ selfie gcam for exynos without rooting the device due to samsung limiting the selfie camera with no raw front in camera2api, so the only way is through rooting your device and place some modified libs in system to get it work.
However, there is also no working libs for galaxy s10 until now, but this is the way how Galaxy S9 & Note 9 got it to work.
Really need Gcam for S10 selfie
Really need this. Please develop asap.

Note 10 plus google camera exynos - Help?

Hi
Please help!
Cannot find a link for the Note 10+ exynos gcam? Please help
There may not be one. Google Camera is only meant for Pixel phones; any other versions are ported for specific phones by various developers and it's possible nobody has done one for a particular phone.

SM-A415F Galaxy A41, has anybody tested gcam apps?

Hey guys, I've been offered one of these for really low money. As I understand it the camera lacks in night-time environment and is mainly due to software processing?
Wondering if anybody has tested any of the gcam apps and how did you find it? This phone uses a cheap mediatek chipset right? In which case would I be better off trying gcam apps ported for which device such as Huawei P30?
Thankyou

Question Is gCam and Google HDR+ two entirely different things and/or do they both work on this device?

Title says it all. I have already concluded that gCam is working so I need to know now if this very attractive HDR+-functionality within gCam works on this device? I would love to have some examples shots made with and without gCam and HDR+ if someone got something to show? If it's good I'll go and buy this phone soon.
Thank you guys! Cool forum by the way.
HDR+ is just the name of Google's implementation of image stacking (combining multiple shots into one photo, what all modern photos apps do). So HDR+ is the technology used within GCam.
If you use an app like the one described here for A52s:

You even get two different implementations of HDR+ that you can switch between in the app:
- Regular "HDR+" which combines several underexposed (so too dark) photos into one.
- "HDR+ enhanced" which takes longer to take a shot, but as I understand then it will take pictures at different exposures (so one too dark, one too bright, and one just right) so that it can correctly display both bright and dark areas in the final photo.
For sample photos comparing the Samsung stock camera app and GCam on A52s, maybe I can just point you to my A52s user review. It's in Dutch, but you can just click on the pictures in it and the captions should be readable:

Beautifully answered, thank you!
Since I wrote this post I have decided to change my choice of phone the the Samsung flagship of 2019 the Galaxy s10. This one had other qualities than the a52 that I want more at this point. The only thing that concerns me is that it doesn't use Snapdragon which makes me believe I won't be able to use the gCam. But maybe there are better alternatives?
