Mate 10 Pro REMOVE Retail Mode? - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

Hi, i got a good offer for a Mate 10 Pro. But its running in Retail Mode, how can i disable it?
Is it worth buying it?
I have already been reading several threads about disableing it, but i cant find any solution except for buying FunkyHuawei.
Wouldnt it be enough to just flash a custom ROM? Can i just root it and remove the Retail Mode App?

VF Smart Prime 6 (VF-895N) Firmware & Recovery Problem

Hey everyone! I recently transitioned from my old Sony Xperia E1 to this new phone. As a active tester and developer I of course decided to download a ROM for this phone (MIUI 8 I believe?) and it then decided to go in a softbrick (bootloop). Of course the normal solution would be to restore the stock firmware on it and be back to normal.
I found this thing online (which I had used before, and it most certainly worked) called SUGAR_QCT SP tool which allowed me to restore the firmware, but of course after installing all the drivers and doing all the steps, I couldnt get it working (I even tried at my friends house to no avail). I then decided to go online and look for a stock recovery and firmware, but me being stupid (and tired) I clicked on a VF Smart ULTRA 6 link for the recovery, flashed through TWRP... and you get the rest. So now I have a bootlooping, no recovery phone that sits there with a £10 case on it. Vodafone said try going to their store and they'll fix it but they will probably end up trying to charge me money :/ so in reality I don't wanna do that.
This phone has been sat on my desk for three months and I need a phone. Please, someone provide me with a fix ASAP! I am going to go online after I go to sleep and search more on how I can fix this - maybe, just maybe I can get it working on Windows 10.
Thanks in advance! I will give someone a highfive if they can fix my phone :highfive:

SLA-LA00 Recovery/Firmware Update

Hi All,
I have a Huawei Enjoy 7 - Model SLA-LA00 (running Nougat 7.0, EMUI 5.1, Boot is unlocked).
I'd like to root it, but I've tried Kingoroot, King Root, iRoot etc and it repeatedly fails. On checking it seems that my device isn't compatible with those apps. I would like to use the ADB method, but there's no custom recovery image for the SLA-LA00, I've also checked and it seems, there isn't but please correct me if I'm wrong.
Is there a custom recovery available for my model?? Also, I've tried looking but, is there an International firmware for this model??
Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks.
Regards,
marquez010
Hello, was going to create a new thread, but think yours fits what I need to ask aswell.
Same phone here, bought it in Shanghai and now in Brasil, was trying just to make it google able. Salesman at the official Huawei store tricked me to think it would just need access to a open network for it to work. Silly me.
Well, as you, unlocked it with ADB and with no answers from nobody, tried to flash it with a random TWRP. Obviously didn't work. Now the phone wont boot into system, but i still can manage to put it in fastboot mode and it still replies to ADB.
Question is if someone that knows better than me can tell me what to do to at least get back where I was, before I finish killing this damm stupid phone, wich also doesn't seem such bad idea.

Hi , all you have here :
https://www.getdroidtips.com/huawei-enjoy-7-b161-nougat/
Hey, thanks a bunch. Found that post before, but it looks like its for an older version of this phone. Mine was running b190 nougat. Don't know if should try to flash this one, but if no other ideas, will try it.
Well, was able to boot it again. Flashed it with yet another twrp that i found for a similar (or so i think) huawei and even tough it didn't work, when I connected the phone to the charger and it responded the power up volume combination and allowed me to reboot normaly.
Guess I'm back to where I started. Think now is better to wait, maybe there wiil be a moe suitable release of a gms core package that it requires for google play to work (have it, but installation fails on rebbot) or twrp updates with a version that works for me and then I can try to install gapps thru it.
Back to my old crappy lg now.

Vernee T3 Pro: MT6739WA - How to Backup?

Ok, i'll start with the beginning:
I've purchased a Vernee T3 Pro, did the dumb thing of rooting it, and since then it has this weird red mark on the top-right corner (Google Key and some Chinese Letters), so I decided to unroot, put back original firmware, but to no use! on top of that, after the root, the phone no longer gets calls, but can dial and make calls without a problem.
So, I purchased a secondary Vernee T3 Pro, and I want to backup the Original Firmware, but the MTK Droid Tools only shows Hardware (mt6739wa) and Baseband (MOLY.LR12A.R2.MP.V34.15) and i can't click on anything to create a backup.
1) Yes, I had Developer Mode enabled
2) Yes, USB Debugging is turned on
3) Yes, I can use ADB to access
I've opened two tickets on Vernee Forums, no one bothered to reply there.
Can someone give me a direction to go in? so I can create a backup and flash it to the other Phone and hopefully make it work!
Or, how can I get rid of that annoying message (see photos) appearing on my screen? it appears even after a wipe and a stock rom flash!
Could it Help?

I really want use the T3 Pro Treble support anyhow but i´m afraid to do it so by now ( i even can´t make latest MKT Toll or SP Flash works...). I found a "initial build" of the ROM at https://www.getdroidtips.com/stock-rom-vernee-t3-pro-firmware/ (so you can extract the scatter file from that).
Could it help?

Hey, thank you for the reply! but i've received that same build (and scatter file) from Vernee themselves, they said the device lost it's Google Authentication and I have to send it back. Thankfuly i'm under support so i'm waiting for them to send me a new device back.
This all happened cause I unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP, so personally i'm not doing it again on this device!
It causes a 5 sec delay on every boot with an ugly warning on the logo screen and it caused this verification issue... i'd not recommend going there...
asking and wondering
Could i ask you about your old issued device? How you tried to root it (magisk by TWRP, or did it from software like kingo root)? You read about these russian operating (use UMIDIGI A1 Pro or A3 model) that made it using "disable-encryption" and magisk v16? ------http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=910702&st=1360#entry78027539.
I still wanna make twrp works on that cheap thing... and hã... you're already with the new device?
greetings.

Unfortunatelly, from the moment I "rooted" the phone, it became useless
For one, there's a 5 sec "warning" during boot, that tells you the phone isn't safe anymore
Secondly, it some how broke the "Google Authentication" and I couldn't receive calls with it, even after restoring the ROM
Eventually, I contacted Vernee and they were kind enough to replace my phone with a new one.

If I ever get yet another device (a 4th one), then i'll do experiments on it, but what bothers me the most, is the moment you root the device, you get a 5 sec delay when turning the phone on with a warning text. That part pisses me off.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro bugged out af.

Hello guys, i have bumped into a problem with my huawei mate 10 pro recently. Its my first huawei phone,i said ill give them a chance...where im from it was not that cheap, but the years have passed,no more warranty, and they obviously got cheaper.
when i bought it it came with its old version of Android,8.0(oreo). a build called .148 or something, which worked flawlessly(+ - minor issues to be adressed).
before update to 9.0 (which came VERY LATE for mate 10/pro) i had 15x something..which totally f**** my phone. and now 9.0 is even WORSE.
we are talking about Mate 10 Pro BLA-L29 C432 xxxxx europe.
phone does random restarts.
Allways on display not working anymore.
display touch sometime acts weird like its de-calibrated after wake-up
barely and totally randomly wakes up from sleep mode when unlocked, it does not matter if its Facial,Fingerprint or just by button with no security).
performance wise, it is acting flawlessly, plays games well,no issues, display has no dead pixels. after update 157,sh*t-storm began..and now pie 9.0 is 10 times worse, making phone wake up even more randly thowards never....
and hi-suite disabled or i cannot acces "switch to older versions" anymore.
and i saw Firmware Finder owning the first firmware my bla-l29 came with..and i would LOVE to roll-back to the first firmware.
i want to underline my phone is untouched,no tampering with,as it still had warranty on imei til 2020 but i lost papers.
any help would be apreciated.. my patient is getting very thin with Huawei backing away from support to use custom roms,or rollback to old FM`s...... starting to want back to samsung...

Earliest firmware you could downgrade to is C432B146. This is the first firmware where new bootloader was introduced.
You'd have to downgrade using dload packages from androidhost.ru, if you're not unlocked.
If you are unlocked you can downgrade using nocheck recovery.
I would downgrade to B158 first using dload, then go all the way to B146.
To use dload on a Mate 10 Pro you need a USB-C to USB-A OTG cable and a memory stick.
You didn't say, but have you tried a factory reset?

Honor 10 Rebrand from Demo Firmware to Europe Firmware

Hello i got a pretty good deal with a new Honor10 from a closing store. The problem is that the phone came with Demo firmware of Emui (COL-L29 DEMO) that continues to play the advert of the device. i've tried everything there is no way to uninstall the retail mode app. I basically cant use the phone normally. I've heard the only way to solve this is to flash the full stock european firmware (COL-L29 EU).
How can i rebrand it to remove the demo firmware?
The phone is brand new with no TWRP or unlocked Bootloader.
I have the 4gb ram +64gb rom version. I will attach some pics of the device info.
Any help would be appreciated thanks
Hey,
Not sure if it helps but in developer options there's an option for "demo mode". I can see you've activated developer options so should popup if you search demo in settings.
On the rom side I can't help, but looks like you've got the Chinese version and I think there's already a post on converting so maybe check that out.
Good luck!

Hi, demo mode from developer options was already disabled but i still tried to switch it on and off but it doesn't solve anything.
i've seen some tutorials about flashing firmwares here but they all require unlocked bootloader, twrp and magisk; and since huawei has stopped giving unlocking code there's not way for me to get them.
Are there alternatives?
Hey, sorry again not too sure. Looks like I got it wrong btw, think you've got the EU version! My bad.
Either way I've not done any flashing on this phone as I never got my bootloader code
One thought.. have you tried force stopping the demo app? It looks like it's an app running so maybe it's as simple as that!? If that works but you can't get rid permanently you can disable with adb, give it a try and shout me back.:good:
Try to disable the demo App somehow.
