Mate 10 random restart - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

My Mate 10 L29 C185 version 131 just got restarted and idk why. When i checked the battery consume thing i saw that and this wasn't there 5 minutes ago i checked that. What's happening?

Something similar happened to my mate 10 pro.
I solved cleaning the system cache from bootloader.
Just shut down your phone and press volumeUp-Powerbutton together till 2 seconds after the huawei logo.
Then using the volume buttons navigate to clear system cache and execute via power button.
After completing the clearing task just navigate to reboot sytem.
After this I solved my rebooting issue.

First of all sorry about my English. I wish I can do better.
I got the phone with the rebooting and base on the owner of the phone he said it started rebooting after an update.
Not sure what was of update to but the phone I got always rebooting during Android app optimization stage ( when it updating about 90 files or so) but it got reboot when updating to the file of 57th (So it was not actually working)
I watched and followed the youtube (how to unblock/unbrick galaxy i717) which it used the pda-odin-att-stock.tar file with the ODIN3 V1.85 (I guess that original ROM of AT&T (android version 2.3)
After successful unblock/unbrick the phone the phone actual worked but the problem still. It works but only 2 minutes and the phone reboots.
2/ test redbend fota is one the options you can choose after hard booting the phone using both up - down keys and power key (other options are to clear the cache, or wipe the data..)
That actually happened to me while testing out Bean Stalk(which btw AWESOME ROM). It would do a Random Reboot and continuously do that every 2 minutes or so. The way I fixed it was by doing the following steps:
1) Power off your phone. If unable to power off, remove and reinsert the battery.
2 )Press and hold between both Volume keys and the Power key at the same time until the phone vibrates, then release ONLY the Power key.
3)Continue holding the Volume keys until Samsung appears on the screen. Then release both volume keys.
The recovery menu will display.
4) Press Volume down to move to option 3, Wipe data/factory reset, and then press the Home key to accept.
5) Use Volume Up and Volume Down buttons to navigate in the menu and select Yes- Delete all user data.
6)Navigate to highlight OK and press the Home key to select.
7) Select Reboot system now.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS WILL DELETE EVERYTHING INSIDE YOUR SD CARD AS WELL! SO DO A BACKUP BEFORE ERASING EVERYTHING!

Could it be a battery issue? I mean if its not software, it might be hardware. Please check if the battery is fine? If you could elaborate the steps you took or the update process you followed, that would be great.
Don't worry we will definitely figure this out, i know how sad it can be when you are without your phone.

No. Surely it is not about the battery. Battery is full and hold the charge pretty well. As I mentioned I was re-installed the original ROM of the phone and there was nothing much to say about this procedure. After reinstalled the original rom the phone works but the problems is still same (rebooting after 2 minutes), before the the phone didn't work and just was in the updating stage but I guess the time of the updating file was also about 2 minutes.
I believe this is about the software than the hardware issue. I am thinking that I may want to install the newest ROM to see it will work or not but I am in the middle of some works right now and have no time for it. So I am just wait to see if there is anyone had similar issue and follow their instruction. Thank you you all.
I am sure you either have hardware issue or in most circumstances it is a user issue.
Is there any possibility you have not read everything or something you are not understanding?
Those of us responding do so because our methods are tried and true. Nobody else is having this issue.
I just ask is it possible?
Have you confidently tried all suggestions with no shortcuts? Even the smallest deviation can lead to the biggest problems
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
Here is a suggestion:
Please go to stock rom. After Odin restarts the phone...do not touch. Let the phone sit there for a little bit. Then if it restarts u might need to format your internal sd card after formatting system, data, cache and then install rom.
I had to flash it

If you can goto fastboot, simply install recovery.img from UPDATE.APP(use huawei update extractor to extract img).
then copy update.app to dload folder in sd card and poweroff device.
press vol down + power button, it will boot into recovery and install UPDATE.app.
I faced this problem when from 5.1, i installed kangvipB015. it worked the way i told above.
Okay... I had my phone plugged into my usb 3.0 then I plugged the phone into my usb 2.0 port and phone started responded to my holding down volume and power buttons then phone booted up into unknown update and now everything is fine.... weird though
Huawei x2 loop
Hello. my X2 boots and reaches lockscreen, when I input my password a window comes up that says the system is not responding. After I click OK or WAIT the homescreen shows up, but after a while phone restarts and the same sequence happens again. I have tried booting into safe mode but the same thing happens. I also tried POWER plus VOL UP to clear cache. I have left the phone off and with zero battery power to simulate a battery pull. I cannot RESET however since I have valuable data on the phone which I cannot lose. Before this I was attempting to delete files by uploading to Google Photos, the phone froze so I restarted. When it booted that is when the looping began. I don't remember the version my X2 is in but since I got it I only had updated it once last year. I hope someone can help me.

How to update?: PLK-L01, Android 5.0.2, EMUI 3.1, C432B180 -> to latest VER? (B330?)
Need simple steps how to update my Device from B180 to latest firmware?
Just download this; http://www.hihonor.com/uk/support/details/?DOC_ID=77509
Put the "dload" folder in your sd card. Shut down the phone and press Volume Up + Volume Down + Power Key. Release power key when you see the honor logo. Wait a little bit and update will start. After everything I need you recommend to do wipe your data and cache with Volume Up + Power Key.

You do not need the cable when you are updating the phone. After you put the dload file, plug out the cable. But I do not know your stucking problem. Maybe it's about your sd card.
If retained after the upgrade of personal data, settings, the update does not complete. Repeat the update, and the second time it will be complete.
This only applies to the downloaded file update is not OTA.

Hmm...
1. Download the .zip
2.Unzip
3. The unzipped "dload" folder copy to sd card.
4. Turn off the phone.
5. Press Volume Up + Volume Down + Power Key. Release power key when you see the honor logo. Wait a little bit and update will start.
6. Something % procceed ,failed message, and stopped update, and restart the phone.
7. When restart, and optimizing, turn off the phone
8. Repeat the step 5.

Update Error B180 -> B330

I performed the update from the Honor Homepage using the Update -App.
Update started normally but then there was an error at approximately 65% progress. Update stopped and I only could perform a Reboot.
Marshmallow booted and seems to run more or less okay, but how can I be sure everything needed has been updated??
Maybe Marshmallow Software is ok, but Hardware Update files did not install or something like that.
Anyone else with this issue?
I have found a video containing the Problem at approximately minute 4:04 you can see the Problem/ error message

Think the general opinion is to redo the installation - which is to power off the phone, then hold the volume up and down buttons together while you hold the power button. Once the phone vibrates, let go of the power button, then when it starts booting let go of the volume buttons.
In my case, this acted a bit like a factory reset, but kept some settings - like it remembered the registered fingerprints. If you backup the phone to an SD card using the Huawei Backup software, you can get most stuff back on the phone within an hour with most settings restored as well.

How do I fix bootloop on my Redmi Note 4 Mediatek (nikel)

So just now I uninstalled find device using adb because of the annoying notifications. After that, I let the battery drain to 0%(which I regret) and then I left it on my table just to come back seeing it repeating the loading screen with the MI logo. Can I just hard reset/wipe data using recovery mode?. P.S: My phone is not rooted.

You should be able to do so. Long press power button and volume +, when the device reboot, release power button but keep pressing volume + until the recovery mode shows. Then you have to navigate to wipe data part, but I don't remember how exactly to do it since I'm on custom recovery for ages
