I am also on RR ....ITS WORKS perfectly ...........plz uninstall other Gcam mod......then install it again...
Working great on back camera . Does not work on front cam . Tested on Viper OS nougat

back camera portrait working fine....... portrait front camera not working......
Working fine on nos RR viper with shadow kernel tested by me
Working great on front and back of nos oreo 8.1.0 with shadow kernel 4.7 tested by me.. :good:

Yeah I did tried that version but after enabling portrait mode after that normal camera not taking photos it's complete black screen maybe I'm the only one facing this issue same issue on BSG NEW version.

They say it has green tint but I haven't faced that yet. Note that the rear camera does not work its just black but portrait mode in front camera is working. I'm on cardinal 5.3. Hit thanks if I helped
Edit: you can install it along with Google Camera that's has portrait mode in rear cam
Works well. But wish i could increase blur level.
on Lineage 14.1 land doesn't working, crashes, and freezes. I can't take a picture....

also, this is an HDR mode not a portrait mode with background blur...
i doesn't work for me. im running nos 8.1 with agni kernel. is it because i installed another version of gcam? (the one that supports hdr+)

The only thing that worked for me is portrait mode, due to limitation to 11 mp only pic arent that sharp, but it crashes most of the time, I am on Dot Os.
Does it crash on Latest RR rom
In the latest rr this camera doesn't crash every time .but it crash 1 of 10 times .when crash force stop and restart the camera.potrait mode also works in front cam
hmmm.... I tried literally every single gcam mod I can think of, and either it crashes or front portrait is blurry as heck and with green tint! What version is this? Also have you tried this with the oreo rom?

In this gcam front cam work good and in the oreo rom this cam takes awesome pics.i dont know the version of this camera.first switch to normal front cam then open portrait mode . Sometimes camera crash but after restart the device it works perfectly

How often do u say it crashes? Also do it take pictures hdr+ on as well as hdr+ enhanced? I tried skullshady 1.7 and it only works on hdr+ enhanced using nexus 6 auto. Will try this version on my le s3.

Not this but other mods mainly bsg, arnova . Here's results
Version 3.xx only work and version 4.x and 5.x does not install.
Even so 3.x does not have portrait mode but it has lens blur

I tried Pixel Experience... GCam FCs
Then I tried LOS15.1.... GCam FCs
Then I revert back to Miui 9... GCam seems to work

But in stock rom (MIUI 9) it works... With very few FC from time to time... Nothing compared to the 2 custom roms I've tried before...
I have just gone from Miui 9 developer rom, to LineageOS Extended edition (https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=256804) and for me, using the UriKill Google Camera (https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/) - this version - https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/MGC_5.1.018_Urikill_vXXII.apk it seems to be very stable, where as in Miui I was getting a fair amount of crashes, it seems to be quite good. The LineageOS extended rom also adds 60fps video capture support, I tested it yesterday and it does indeed capture 60fps - Video Info app in the playstore reads the FPS, and where as before I would always only get 30fps when I tried to use 60fps in GCam, it now reports 57-60fps.
For slow Motion I can use the Miui Camera - Oreo port - https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=962187416754466517 - this one supports slow motion.

In my opinion urkill gives features with less FC.

Yep, already tried: Pixel Experience (oreo) first and LineageOS 15.1 (oreo) after... both of them with the most popular gcam ports, Urikill too
Always FCs, maybe some port more stable, but never so useful (maybe it doesn't crash for a while... then... when you need it, it crashes losing the last 2/3 shoots)
Now, on MIUI 9.5, it is moooore stable... just an FC here and there...
But I have to find a good rom (with google camera stable) 'cause I really don't like MIUI

yes but gcam has more settings to tweak , i have not yet play around

I just tested it with my Nord 2 and it worked like charm.
Edit: Wichaya one is more stable with working Night Sight, portrait and video.
Update: BSG one is pretty stable. Use below link to download.

Hey Ravinder0003 can you confirm which version to download among all the Wichaya ones? Can you post a specific apk link rather than the entire list of Wichaya links? I'm not sure which one to download for it to work with the Nord 2

I had tested latest_ENG.apk of all.

No but stock cam processing is far better.
Thanks for the links, I tried the BSG version but viewfinder is lagging in photo mode (and pretty smooth in video mode) . Quality is nice, HDR+ pictures are much better than the stock app HDR pictures.
Sadly BSG don't work for me with the secondary wide-angle camera, only main back and front

It's always on by default and the switch to disabled is masked, but if you go to the advanced settings you can enable the visibility of the HDR+ switch to disable/enable HDR+ or HDR+Enhanced
Any idea how to get the ultrawide to work with any Gcam version? I checked a few Camera2api apps and the ultrawide is not even exposed to the OS.

Like the review of gsmarena, you have better results without HDR mode, also 50 mp mode is useless it justs increase the size of the photo but not its quality and details.
Gcam has a good hdr, also it doesn't apply some sharp effect on night photos. I think they will improve the stock camera in the future like they did for their other phones
These photos are with Gcam astrophotography mode, and it was 3 am, in the dark, the "dawn" effect is caused by the cities around but it was barely noticeable with human eye

Well, using the ultrawide is come kind of zooming. The app definitely uses the second camera then. Just put something in front of the lenses and you'll see.
