Hi,
Lately my moto360 sport watch was dying midday. now it is dead completely. when I put it on the charger it starts, shows the motorola logo with a vibration then turns off, then on again with vibration then off and so on.. I am suspecting that the battery is dead. What I dont understand why the watch doesnt wait for the battery to be charged before turning on the screen and the vibration.
The watch is just 2 years old. I called the support and they want me to pay 35$ just to get the watch checked, then they tell me the repair cost that i have to pay on top.
Anyone ran into a similar issue? any idea what is wrong? Any idea where to buy the battery? No where to find, Amazon, ebay, Aliexpress...
Mine is the same. Did you find any solution?

I've had the the G-Tab for about two months and in the last two weeks when I plug it in to charge the unit it will not always charge. The light will come on but the battery icon will not show charging or the light will not come on at all and I must orientate the tip so it is at about a 45 degree angle to the back. I called tech support and they said its my fault that I have obviously been jamming the tip in too hard...sorry out of luck. Like most of you I have several laptops/netbooks and other electronics that use this type of power connectors and know not to force things Is anyone else experiencing this? Or did I just get a bad unit. Thanks
TheMcallan,
I have a charging problem, actually I cannot charge Gtab at all. I have been charging it as I would just like the other phones or something else. It is about a month old.

jeffkck,
Thanks for the response, have you contacted ViewSonic support?
Have the exact same problem. I just noticed it over the last few days. I bought mine about a month ago from the first woot deal. I tried a different power cord with the same results. I was going to contact costumer support about it. The plug is so finicky now, I'm afraid it will get to the point where I can't find that sweet spot to charge it. Let me know what you guys find.
I've had a similar issue with mine just last week. Mine was also from the first Woot offer. I think what is happening is that it gets stuck in sleep mode and can't get out. (since I had shoved mine into a bag without turning it off and then checked it about a week later finding out I couldn't get it to work. I fixed mine quite by accident. I had been plugging and unplugging it, turning it on and off (and it would sometimes turn on for a brief moment and then turn off) I then just left it plugged in for an hour or so and lo and behold, it worked!
Same problem here! my gtab was one of the earlier versions bought the day of release
Try charging it with the dock that goes with the malata zpad and g tablet. It connects through the HDMI port on the bottom and you plug the charger into the dock so that may help. Picture: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYbk__uK2Y8 they pretty much sell them all over the internet. Hope it works
You need to contact viewsonic and get them to repair it. Don't keep trying to find that "sweet spot". It will only get worse. Or you could solder if you know how.
Two weeks ago I bought a spare battery from a retail store. They claimed it was legit and it did look very convincing (it was also expensive) . I But this morning when I woke up, the screen flickered for a few seconds and then the thing just died. (I normally leave it charging when I sleep if it is almost completely discharged the night before which it was) And it wasn't a normal shutdown either because it didn't display the "android system" screen and "shutting down" pop up like normal. So then it just died and wouldn't turn back on no matter what I tried. It wouldn't charge either (as in, no "charging" display when off) Then I put my old battery back in and it turned on just fine, charging working ok too (*phew*)
I'm still waiting to take this '' piece of ****'' battery back to the store. But what do you think? It looks very legit and I compared it to counterfeit battery pics on the Internet. Has anybody else had a problem similar to this with an original brand battery?
I can post pictures if you want
Even a genuine battery can fail as you describe, Samsung warrant their own for six months. Take back for replacement or refund.

Yeah that's what I'm gonna do. But only two weeks, seriously? The battery that came with the phone lasted fine for 8 months so far.
Well, today right before I was about go to the store where I bought it, I decided to go and test it one more time. Turns out it charges after all. Should I still go and return it? I dont think the retail store will accept it since the charging does work. What about samsung directly?
Wow, all I can say is I've been a Gear user since the original. I skipped the Gear 2 and Neo because I felt they were too similar to the original Galaxy Gear. I got my Gear S recently, about a month ago off contract from ATT. In all, I have been very happy with my purchase. It is definitely an upgrade to say the least. Maybe I miss the camera a little bit. But anyway, I was wearing my watch, normal day nothing major. I noticed that the battery was going to be dead before I got home that day. So I tried the battery saver option that is on the watch. Needless to say, this didn't work very well, as the watch kept dropping battery like it was going out of style. Sidenote: I've been getting at least a full days use out of the watch no problem after the newness factor wore off. Well the battery went dead while I was at dinner with some co-workers. I was slightly disappointed because one of my co-workers asked about the watch. And I couldn't show it off to them. I had to tell them that it died, which was kind of stupid and really spoke to why wear a dead watch on your wrist. What's the point? But anyway. I got home to re-charge by watch battery. My charging cradle is not broken, all charging pins are fine. It clips onto the watch fine. No problems here. I could not get the watch to charge. Everytime I clipped the charger on the watch there was no response from the watch. But the charger LED would turn on, letting me know that a connection had been established. I played and toyed with all types of things, I tried plugging into a computer. I read somewhere that this might fix the problem. No Luck. Finally I called Samsung, to ship the watch back for repair.
I'm wondering if anyone has ever had this problem. Have you ever let your watch go completely dead and had any problems charging?
Overall the Gear S is a decent watch, I just wish that Samsung would take as much pride in their watches as they are starting to do with they're phones. Better materials, such as a metal casing for a watch of this caliber would have been a major win. Just seems like most manufacturers coming out with watches now are using nicer materials and concentrating more on style. I would like to have the style with all of the functionality the Tizen OS. Android wear seems to be too locked down right now. Just my two cents. What do you guys think?
Just to let you know, on sunday after a full day I was not able to charge my watch, on monday I was at work, when my watch vibrates, advising me to charge it since its battery was too low, needless to say being at work I did not have the charger at hand (I know it was not smart to leave my charger at home, taking into account, the charger backup battery could have charged the watch all the way up to 50%, but you knou Murphy's law? ) In the afternoon after I got home, I finally connected the charging cradle to my watch, I was not surprissed it did not turned on, since the battery was completely dried, but after a couple of hours, I tried to turn on the watch and no luck at all, I tried everything from connecting the craddle to other chargers I use, to connecting it to my laptop (after googling my problem I found out this is a common problem with the Gear 2, and some of the user could fix this by connecting the watch to a laptop for for several hours, others with enough expertise to dissassemble their watch, could fix it by disconnecting the actual watch's battery terminals, and then reconnecting them) well, after about 12 hours connected to my lapto my watch was still dead, in a final effort, I just connected the charging craddle like a bavkup battery (by this I mean just the charging craddle was connected to the watch, not the actual AC charger), after about 3 hours, my watch came back from dead, it was just indicating battery at 1%, then I connected the AC charger, and after 01:30 it was at it full 100%.
After this near dead experience, I just would say, it is not advisable to let the watch die on its battery, if you are not able to charge it right away, I would think it would be better to turn it off, and charge it ASAP. If following my advise I helped some one with the same problem, I would be very happy!
Best regards!
Before I get started, YES, I'm fully aware this is the Gear S thread.
My wife's Gear Fit actually did something similar this morning after she unplugged it from charging it wouldn't turn back on, although I can't say for sure if it was light up or showing a charge when it was plugged in, but I can tell you it just wouldn't turn on. After fiddling with it for a minute I decided to just hold the power button down for a while and after about 30 seconds or more (not like I had a stop watch timing it) of holding the button down it finally turned on. For some odd reason it said "rebooting..." as if it were already on, usually it just says Gear Fit blah blah blah.
Not sure how long anyone holds down on the power button but I would first suggest holding it down for a prolonged period of time.
If that doesn't work hold down the power button and menu button for a prolonged period of time.
(Try both ways unplugged from charger , if that doesn't work then plug device in and retry above steps)
I recently got a second Amazfit Pace from Aliexpress for my brother after using mine for few months. My original watch has been working fine for the past 4 months with Pacefied Rom installed in it. Yesterday my bother complaint that his watch which is in stock firmware shutdown. I first thought it might be a battery issue and thus I put it to charge for some time. The Watch charged til 100% and was working fine, after some time it started to heat up while he was wearing and got discharged within few minutes.
Since then it won't turn on, while plugging it into the charger it heats up rapidly but won't turn on. Is the watch dead or anything can be done to it. What are the possibilities to get it replaced in RMA since I purchased it from an authorised Huami Seller from China?

Replace it definitely. Must be a bad battery or a short circuit somewhere near the power manager.
Yes, Aliexpress Seller has agreed to replace the watch as it is a manufacturing defect. Let's hope the next one works out good.
So today I was on checking something on my phone when it suddenly shuts down. I thought it was overheating again but when i checked, the phone temp wasn't even warm at all. I tried turning it back on, it got a green screen with 2 smaller boxes (red and blue) no text. Then it turned off and now my phone wouldn't turn on at all. I tried charging it but the led light did not even turn on. The phone wasn't even low on battery to begin with. The battery was at 60+% when it turned off.
Days ago i updated the phone then it started overheating. It also started having issues with the headphone and the charger (posted about this in another thread.) Now it's just dead.
Has anyone else experienced this? I don't know what I did wrong or what to do next. As much as possible i don't want to replace the phone, at least not yet. I will be traveling overseas tomorrow and i really need it.
did you ever find out the solution to this problem? My Huawei Mate SE started doing this to me today and idk what to do!!!
