I bought this Huawei mate 10 In China from a retailer store, it costed 4299 RMB. I've been using it for Youtube and instagram and for some reason, the battery drain is going down alot. I'm not sure if its the battery problem or the quality of efficiency or the power drain from apps. I lose around 1% Every 5-10 minutes on Instagram and SOT takes up alot of battery as well.
Screen - 24.42%
Phone Idle - 10.03%
Mobile Standby- 6.38
Youtube - 22.45% - 697.69mAh
Instagram - 14.46% - 449.29 mAh
Spotify - 3.63% - 113.05 mAh
The phone is currently at 48% Brightness is around 20% , I only have WLAN turned on and phone on Vibration and Auto rotate. Location information is turned off.
Is it just the apps draining so much, or the efficiency or the actual battery being messed up

My x10 is losing all of its juice in maximum of 5 hours , I've bought a new battery from SE showroom but the brand new battery is also giving me the same bitter taste ..... I have tried various ROMs and presently flashed my fave ROM DONUT HD2 ROM based on GB......I also flashed stock GB 2.3 with new batterty but the same battery issue is noticed.
Its music port also stopped working from the day im experiencing this battery issue.
I calibrated the batteries , but also NO use.
In battery stats it shows that the maximum battery consumption is for Display and Cell Standbuy. NOW I have no idea what the hell is my phone problem , but i love it , so wanna fix it ANYWAY.
Please suggest me your valuable ideas.

What screen display timeout do you have? I have mine set to 2minutes.
What screen brightness do you have? I have mine set to the lowest setting as I'm indoors mostly.
However, it doesn't really matter if you have a short screen timeout.
Do you have 3G mobile data, Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS and Google Maps with Latitude/location tracking all turned on?
The battery can be drained in low/poor mobile cell areas.
The phone boosts the receiver to get a signal which all takes power.
If you have no or very poor 3G mobile data signal, it'd be best to disable 3G mobile data when in poor signal area(s).
In the battery History display (Settings->About->battery use), tap on the graph to display battery status.
This will show you the signal strength of the battery over the time from the last full charge.
If the phone signal strength indicates red/yellowish that's not good, dark grey/green is good.
A new battery should be charged to 100% and left to continue charging for approx 8-12 hours.
The charging cuts out at 100% and then drops back to ~93% and then charges again.
Leaving it for 8-12 hours on the first 4-5 charges help the battery find it's maximum charge.
Any new battery may not provide it's maximum charge for the first 4-5 charges.
I found Google Play Store GSam Battery Monitor a very good indicator of process and battery usage. Also shows percentage of cell signal strength state.
Look for "View time held awake" and "View number of times waking device" in the applications section.
If you have root access, you can run something like Google Play Store SetCPU and have a screen-off profile which can under-clock the CPU when the screen is not on. Using a Powersave Governor can massively improve battery life when the phone is in standby state and/or not in use.
You can use Google Play Store CPU Spy Plus to verify that when the screen is off the phone is going into 'deep sleep' for most of the time.
I get approx 60-70% of the time spent in 'Deep Sleep'.
I know on my 1800mAh battery in my XPERIA X10i gets 3hrs 17mins when CPU is at 100% and screen on 100% brightness, with 19% of the battery still left.
In 'normal' operation I get from 1 - 5 days of battery life.
I have had 10 days when I didn't use the phone, with WiFi forced active at 8:00am once a day and email(5 accounts), whatsApp and weather widget active.
In 24hr period when not using my phone, it uses approx 7-9% of battery(1800mAh).
should CPU rate decreased????
THANKS for your REPLY
I set my Network Mode to ONLY GSM , switched OFF location services (GPS,Maps,G altitude, etc etc) and my screen Brightness is ZERO , time out is 30 seconds. And i've been living in the same place since 3 years and it is not the problem of the network.
From your suggestions it is clear that , we (x10 users) should not use x10's at 100% CPU.I should NOW try this.
I got a 1500mAh battery in the box when I bought my x10 and the battery I bought when i messed up with old battery (I thought that the old one is damaged) ) was also a same 1500mAh battery.
The apps(EXCEPT GSAM battery Monitor) you have suggested me were also used by me in the past and Im actually fedup with the battery.
Now i will try to underclock the CPU rates at screen OFF mode and use GSAM battery monitor App.
ONCE AGAIN THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY.

The 100% CPU was an AnTuTu battery stress test know as Google Play Store AnTuTu Tester
This tests the battery use from 100% down to ~20%, calculating how long it would last.
Using a 1500mAh battery the AnTuTu Tester should return approx 2hrs 45mins on a battery operating at the same capacity as my 1800mAh battery.
I still really enjoy my XPERIA X10i and use it daily, probably helped by the fact I have a 64GB SanDisk Ultra card in it.
Hi guys , this is my first post here.
I have a Alcatel Onetouch Idol 2S (6050Y) and it has terrible battery. I have tried almost every solution for Cell Standby on this forum but it did not work so I am posting my own thread. Problem is Cell Standby which uses around 30 - 50% of my battery and Phone Idle which uses 20-30%. I have disabled Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Sync, Data Connection, Location, Location History, Keep WiFi on during sleep mode is on only when plugged in, Scaning Always Available is disabled, there are no Device Administrators, Wakelock Detector does not show anything strange and almost everything that I don't need is disabled. I use 2G network only.
I disabled some bloatware using root to get more battery, from 11 PM to 8AM it drains around 4% in idle, which for me is pretty good, but everytime I turn on my WiFi and start going to Youtube or Google it starts heating up like crazy and I cannot hold it in my hand, and DU Battery Saver reports 40 degrees Celsius when Youtubing or on Chrome. The battery goes down really fast. GSMArena reports that my phone can be upgraded to Android 4.4 ( its 4.3 now ) but when I press System Updates nothing happens. I think I have a pretty good signal ( 89 dBm ) and every other android phone in my house does not have such problems other than mine.
GSMArena reports that my battery is supposed to have 2150mAh but DU Battery Saver reports a 1390 mAh battery capacity. What is going on in here ? App called Battery Monitor says that there are 2 states of battery capacity 2137 mAh and 1390 mAh. What do I do to repair my phone?
Bumping, please help guys
Bump again
Hi, I found out that my Mate 20 Pro batteey isn't as solid as advertised. The battery keep draining in standby mode. Yesterday, it dropped 9% in 8 hours of standby mode with WiFi on. However, the first few days the battery is very great but after 10 days of usage the battery performance dropped a lot ?. May I know is the AI allocation of power based on my usage pattern or the battery is faulty?
Looks like a rogue app...check the battery usage stats or install AccuBatttery to get full details.
Might have to restart in Safe mode to confirm it's an app.
Standby with Wi-Fi should be below 1%/hr unless some background activity goes nuts on you.
Try restarting the phone, i had the issue at some point, the switch from auto app management to manual, keeping just the apps i want. After the recent update(153) i switched back to auto. There is some issue with the app management, cause sometimes i lose just 1-2% of battery during the night, but sometimes 5-7%. Now i get an avarage of 36h+ of usage, and if not charging at 30-40% i could get more.
From brand new, my mate 20 pro drains about 12-13% if left overnight, also thought that was pretty bad
Hey I hope you guys are doing great !
Well i bought this phone like last month and the battery was working fine for the first few days but then its battery started decreasing faster than before while using the same apps as before. The most battery drains while its still in the idle conditions and overnight.
At first it would only loose like 1 or 2 percent over night but now it looses like 1 percent battery every hour it stays idle.
I have attached 2 screenshots below to show what I'm talking about . Both screenshots were taken 1 day apart and as you can see , sometimes the battery works fine but sometimes it drains a lot and its mostly when its idle. Kindly suggest me something if you got anything in mind that what might be the issue here.
Maybe the radio of your phone, that's what's draining mine fast.
And Facebook is a well known battery drainer
If you tap on the graph once, it allows you to find out the battery drain for specific time intervals and their length can be adjusted as well. Please do that and tell us which app or apps are draining the most battery during standby. Btw is your aod on? Aod prevents the device from sleeping properly so the battery drain can rise up to 2% per hour if its on. If that is not the case as well, try turning off location and nfc if they are not being used, and turn off wifi and cellular before going to sleep and then check the drain. Also try disabling google play protect from play store, and check out the link below which improved battery life for many people including myself:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f2-pro/how-to/improving-battery-life-miui-12-t4139913
I'm not really satisfied with battery life of my less than two months old Realme GT 12/256 GB.
What is your average screen on time on this phone?
Mine would be in the 3.5-5 hours range in a day and a half, maybe more if I watch a movie or something.
I'm not playing games and only have Viber, WhatsApp, Facebook... usual stuff.
I didn't see any tanglible difference between "auto" and 60 Hz screen mode regarding battery life.
Also, what percentage of battery drain do you see overnight?
I'm on latest firmware, tried every possible battery saving combination, but always have at least 3% battery drain overnight (usually around 4% in 7-8 hours) and that with radio and all apps off and various battery saving settings applied (global and per app).
I'm starting to believe it's "normal" for this phone and its SD 888 chipset.
Thanks.
Same
I have very similar results as you. Battery life is just ok.
Current battery life:
from 93% to 28% in 1d 19h, SOT: 3h 15min.
Before this I had Poco F3 for a month or so and I don't recall exactly, but it was something like a 1%, 2% max. drain overnight with pretty much the same usage pattern.
Also I have Lenovo tablet with far weaker MTK CPU but not much bigger battery (5000 mAh and 10.3'' screen) and that one almost doesn't use battery in standby mode (beats all phones I had).
I'm currently disabling various apps and testing and I'll post here if I find out something useful.
Optimized standby - Ultra standby makes exactly no difference in my current setup so I turned it off completely.
Quick device connect is also turned off and not in use, as far as I can tell.
