Thanks for trying

this is long shot but try to plug it in comp and while pluged in force restart mob by long pressing power button. saw this method in other thread with usb sound issues

Tried it, unfortunately didn't work.

Still no solution?
I'm facing this issue too. Desperately looking for a solution. :crying:

this worked for me. reset to default settings in dev options.
then re-enable dev options by tapping build #
then re-enable debug mode

You can get into fastboot without flashtool if drivers are correctly installed.
Stupid question: Have you already unlocked your bootloader? If you haven't done any modding before (e.g. flashing custom ROM) you might haven't done it so. That can explain why your phone goes charging when you plug USB cable instead of fastboot mode. Try also some Linux live distributions. Some of them have adb and fastboot included.
I have done flashing and modding.
But right now I am not able to put the phone in fastboot mode
I am expecting some helpful comments instead of asking me to search for answers.
Because I have already searched for those, came here finally.
Please provide helpful comments to put the phone in fastboot.
I am not able to find the answer
How did you unlock your bootloader?? I mean by which method did you do it?

First, you didn't provide importrant information. Which ROM you currently have, which one you are trying to flash, have you tried to update firmware via OTA, because there are some situations where you can accidentaly relock your bootloader. I assume you didn't brick your phone earlier with FOTA, like in my case.
Next, when you try to connect into fastboot mode, try it without FlashTool and open device manager and watch if it responds when you try to connect phone with usb while holding menu key. Fastboot is a command line application which can work without FlashTool (which is a GUI frontend to fastboot).
Second, you didn't read my post thoroughly. I suggested you to try a Linux live distribution, e.g. ubuntu. Just boot it from CD or USB and when it is ready you can connect phone in fastboot mode, just hold a menu key and plug the usb cable and see if blue light goes on. It will probably not solve your problem on Windows, but will give us some answers.
I too am facing the same problem!
Im currently using CyanogenMod 10 with the same Kernel which was pre-installed on the Neo V when I bought it.
I wish to change the Kernel to Lupus as it is compatible with most of the ROMs. I tried flashing the kernel with Flashtools and Kernel Flasher but to no avail.
Kindly help!

I have the same problem. I want to get into fastboot mode but nothing happens. The computer only gives a sound of connection the device and that's it. No blue led when pressing home and connecting to the computer.
How can I flash the kernel?
I have adb drivers installed
When I normally have neo running then there's no problem in turning int Fastboot pressing a lighting in flashtool

[Q] GS4 won't stay in installer mode

Hi all,
I'm planning to root my GS4 but I noticed that when I plug my phone into my computer (win 7) it switches to Media Device instead of staying in Installer mode. I have USB debugging checked and install from unknown sources checked. I've tried to uninstall the drivers and then plug back in to reinstall the drivers but have had the same result.
Has anyone heard of this and know a possible solution or something I could try? I really don't want to start rooting my phone if its not staying in debug mode.
Thanks!

You could try to Odin the Stock image and then try to root from there.

Thanks for the reply. I am on Stock image (haven't done anything to my phone yet). It's just weird why it won't stay on installer mode if I have debug mode checked.

Try getting the latest USB drivers from my signature. You should be in MTP mode when it's connected to the PC I do believe. It will then show a picture of you phone and you can browse the device then.

Ok i'll try that. I thought if USB debugging was checked that there was a third mode (installer) that it stayed in besides the Media or Camera options that can be selected because I was reading another post on XDA about the root tool by a post from user Jondoyle24:

Is there any way to fix this? No Usb-Debugging, Bootloop, etc...

Hello guys,
im starting to lose hope that my phone will ever get to work again. I tried flashing a rom via TWRP, which led into a bootloop. After that I tried flashing another version of TWRP, which let to the fact, that everytime I now press Power + Volume down it also gets into a bootloop and does not show up TWRP. After that I tried connecting it to my PC in Fastboot mode, but since no USB-Debugging is enabled and cant be enabled, it is also not working, even with Universal Adb drivers installed, windows does not recognize any device is connected... so my question is, if there is any hope left or my phone is just dead...
I really hope you can help me.

Thank you for your help. I was trying to do it with this mega unbrick guide, but at step 4 I connected it to my pc and the device manager didn't show up anything. Do I need to install any drivers before doing that or uninstall the adb drivers I previously installed?
Thank you
Finally it worked! The problem was the usb cable I was using!

Fastboot problem

I have a mtk6580 the phone only stays in fastboot for 10 seconds and doesnt respond to any fastboot comands.I don't think its a driver problem because it works fine on another phone which is also a 65xx. I also tried a linux vm. With the same results. Mostly i just want to root the phone. Even set my bios so the usb are recognized as usb 2. As well i tried a lot of one click solutions to get root. Also miracle box and mtk-tools. The phone has no reset button and the battery cant be removed. Please help.

Cannot enter recovery

Hi,
I have an E5823 from a friend (sounds dodgy but is for real).
*. Phone is from Sweden and boots up with a 3 logo
*. I cannot enter recovery no matter what combinations of power and volume buttons i use
*. None of the codes (like *#*#7378423#*#* or *#06#) work
*. i don't know if the bootloader is locked or unlocked and cant find out.
Can anyone suggest any steps please?
have you tried using adb and fastboot from a pc?
I am trying but i cant get adb devices to recognise the phone. All drivers are installed. I suspect USB debugging is not switched on
However I cant into settings to turn on USB debugging mode. The phone is locked. I've bumped into the android FRP i think. My friend tried various accounts to unlock. No luck. I was his last resort to get the phone up and running again (i know this sounds suspect but it's for real)

Hi. Did you ever get this resolved? I am facing the same problem with my brothers phone. I can't get into recovery with any key combo and I can't get in to settings because it's locked and he forgets his PIN.
No. But i found a few YouTube videos that show you how to get around FRP
