I was able to disable the annoying heads up notifications with Nougat using an adb command
Code:
adb shell settings put global heads_up_notifications_enabled 0
I have tried twice after updating my T-mo V30+ to Oreo and it appears not to be working as it was on Nougat..
Any pointers or suggestions would be appreciated...
Thanks!!
Heads up!
Which at least in the U.S. means "Watch out, something coming your way!"

I recently updated my Blu Vivo 5 to Marshmallow 6.0 and found that the quick settings toolbar (when you swipe up from the bottom of your phone) has become ugly as ****. Is there anyway to get the exact one that Lolipop 5.1 had before I updated? I'd appreciate any help
For reference: How I liked it:

}
How it is:
Install the Android 5.1 Stock Rom and go back to Lollipop.

Cheers for the heads up.
I was literally just about to root my Note 8 as I was getting sick of waiting for Oreo but now that it's out I don't have to.
(Although I still might down the track to enable certain features, not sure)
Thanks again!

Well, I didn't care about the update. I haven't really noticed any real difference but it's here

Hey guys, i have a problem with my Oneplus 6. I know, there is a forum for that, but i think my problem is not brand specific, but android specific. I recently installed the App "Fluid Gestures", there is no Forum for that app either, so i ask here. So i installed the app, and to make it work i had to grant it some permissions as well as i had to prompt that adb command "adb shell pm grant com.fb.fluid android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS". AFter enter the command everything worked properly for about 4 hours, ut after that things started to get weird. First the gestures didnt work right, so i had to reinstall the app and do the same procedure. After working again it totally broke down. Only the "back" gesture works, but neither home nor recents. And now my keyboard looks like in the picture in any app. ANyone knows, what could be wrong here?

Hi guys
My devices: RMN9s (Vietnam Global Version)
ROM: India Global 11.0.3 rooted with magisk patched boot method
Problem: Install some Gcam to test and they Vibrations all the time.
Below is instruction how to fix it.
1. Find your Gcam Package, mine is com.google.android.GoogleCamera
2. Connect your device with ADB
3. Type cmd code
Code:
adb shell
Code:
cmd appops set <package> VIBRATE ignore
Example:
Code:
cmd appops set com.google.android.GoogleCamera VIBRATE ignore

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
You won’t see any confirmation in the prompt, but as long as you don’t get an error message it should have worked.

update for others:
nvm, I found the answer... went into notification history and clicked on the notification and disabled.
You might want to check the discussion here
You're probably just hiding the notification, which does not necessarily stop the download attempts and even failed installation on reboots (because you're rooted).
You guys are getting notifications on updates? I have never received any such notifications since rooted! Even manual update checking doesn't work for me, it never find any system and/or security updates. Ah, well I guess I am just an unlucky one. But pls tell me if it's not normal.
Lol...

How ironic is that.
