I somehow managed to change the way notifications show on my lock screen so they are now dark instead of white and look much better.
Is there a theme or setting to do this for other menus?
How did you do that?

hey guys, so i have decided to make a hubs setup for my prime.
i am using adw, and minimalistic text.
i am trying to set mine up to look something like this.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22760433&postcount=45
but i seem to be having a problem with the materialistic text bars.
the bars are like overlapping each other.
eg if you look at the link above.
the home bar is red, and the ones underneath are black. for me the black ones would kind of overlap a little bit. so that the black one actually goes on top of the red bar. (only a tiny bit but still makes the effect look bad)
how do i fix this?
please help

It's a little difficult to understand your problem w/o a pic or something, but i'll try.
A few things you can try are:
1. see if your red bar is set to be somewhat transparent. In the link you put the bars are probably not transparent at all so they might be overlapping, but you wouldn't notice.
2. Try putting the red bar on AFTER the black bar/s so that it is on top.(IDK if that is how it works or not, but it might work)
3. try changing your grid size. I maximize mine so when I am re-sizing widgets I have the most options possible for different sizes to make them.
Hope something works.
Try going into ADWSettings -> UI Settings -> Screen Preferences -> Advanced Settings and check Auto Stretch

hello,
i bought the honor 7 via vmall.eu. out of the box the notifications (WhatsApp, gmail, ...) worked at the lockscreen. after a few hours, they were missing. i did not change any settings, it just happend. after i tried i few things in the settings menu, i tried a factory reset. after this the notifications worked again for a few minutes, but went missing after a time.
the honor vibrates and i get the notification at the top-bar. but the display wohnt wake up und there is no message at the lockscreen.
the notifications worked at first so i dont think i made any wrong setting.
is this a know problem and is there a solution?

Yup...looks like it's only the magazine themes that support lockscreen notifications. Pity there's no other way round it
can you show more details about the settings flow? i having this problem also as i dun understand where is the magazine themes located at... sorry, i'm new user of huawei gadget. appreciate your help
Find the Themes app, already on you phone, then open it, select either the Bazzar theme or the Bazzar_golden theme and then hit Apply at the bottom. (BTW you can customise the theme with different icon sets, wallpapers etc afterwards)
I recently installed Android N-ify from the xposed modules and got my notification panel to look decent by adjusting colors with G4 tweaksbox, however the idle quick settings are the same color as the background. Does anyone know of another way to edit quick setting icon colors? Is there a root file I can edit easily?

You can install the hybrid theme or the flyme theme - you can find them in the theme-section of this forum...

I'm on H830 and those themes aren't compatible yet - besides, i only want to change the quick settings icon colors (when not selected they are black and invisible, they are white when selected as of right now)
the point being i will be able to use the Android N style notification panel. I like the way the notifications span the whole screen.

How can i change the text color of my lock screen's clock if i am using a white/light background
this is on an s8+
and to clarify, i am not talking about the AlwaysOn display. i am talking about the screen you get after unlocking that screen and before the screen where you enter your pin.
iam newby that but in my rom there is an option to show/hide shadows
the shadows make the clock view able if iam using a white bakground

If you're rooted there are plenty of options to change font, font color, font size etc.

that is what i figured. My phone isn't rootable yet, but i have actually gone back to my old phone. My S8+ has just been frustrating the hell out of me and im having SD Card issues and i just cannot even. So maybe when i find answers to THAT problem, a method of rooting it will have surfaced and i will try and go back.
i am so angry.
I got the mate 20 pro yesterday. Mostly it's great but the limited space for notification icons drives me crazy. Is there any way to add a row to the notification area and effectively doubling the notification bar? I really don't mind taking away from the rest of the display.
You can find in the display settings an option to move the status bar below the notch.
In this way you'll get a full row available for the icons.
I don't think it's possible to create a second row in the status bar.

That app apparently has some limitations, like being able to see the second bar only when showing the desktop on the screen, not while using any other app.
Moreover it requires a particular live wallpaper to work.

Thanks but that just fills the status bar next to the notch, making it look like there's no notch - it doesn't move the notifications/add more space for notifications.
Hey guys! Anybody found a better way?
It's really annoying..

This isn't the case unfortunately.
All this does is blacken either side of the notch to hide it. The icons will still appear in the original positions either side of the notch.
