After i got the x820 4/32GB phone, i installed twrp and custom rom. Didnt try in stock. Everything went smoothly, and the phone has mobile network connection, can send and receive sms, but is not able to make or receive phone calls.
Tried couple of roms, (currently du x2 newest), 28s firmware and even changed the prederred and unlocked bands from qtool to the ones that phone supports and my carrier has. In some rare occasions the phone will connect a call, but even those times it takes around 30 seconds to connect and immediately after the call, it is impossible to reach back. Sim card works in other phones. Any advice?
Phone: Le eco max 2 x820
current rom: du_x2 8.1.0
Country: Finland
Carrier: DNA
Heyyo, tbh there's probably some bad APN settings. It's something I've been working on as of late to resolve.
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1Fa-icWihAwcF0dzkbuSU3p5IKig9b6H_
To use it please download apns-conf.xml > reboot to TWRP and make a make a backup copy of /system/etc/apns-conf.xml to somewhere in sdcard and then copy the downloaded apns-conf.xml to /system/etc/apns-conf.xml
The apns-conf.xml from my GDrive is from the Google Pixel 2XL 8.1.0_r29 build. I'm currently working on a rebase for it on LineageOS 15.1 to use.

Did that, now sometimes it calls, sometimes it doesnt, so we are heading the right way.
Apparently when I call, and if it falls from lte to H+ it will call, but when it only goes to H, it wont connect. Lte discovery app doesnt say which 3g band is being used, so that I could disable it.

Heyyo, hmm well for APN's I just looked at the Le Max 2 28s build and there was two extra APN entries for DNA in Finland which I'm unsure but could be the reason why it didn't work for you some of the time.
I replaced that apns-conf.xml on my Gdrive please download and repeat those steps again.
Hopefully this resolves it as it does look like the x2 has every band that DNA Finland uses.
I haven't seen it on DNA's website but they don't seem to have a post in their help section that details the exact APN settings only a single one not the full thing... If by chance you could please find them or text their APN settings number it could provide us insight as to what we need.
https://tuki.dna.fi/org/dna-en/d/internet-settings/
That one there it asks to text ASETUKSET to the number 14000 (with a Joustava or Onni subscription; for Äly-subscriptions the number is 15000).

I changed the apns-conf file and still same, it falls from LTE to H, where it wont connect.
I tried to get apns settings from my carrier, but apparently they dont send them to phones that are not "mainstream".
From my old phone (Lenovo K3 note, working with this sim) I sniped the conf file, and saw these settings:

those are either mmsc.dnafinland.fi or mmsc.dnapro.fi
Also in the support forums for dna, latest post with full apns (2014 ) it says that mnc 12 should be right one.
I start to wonder if I f*cked up something when unlocking/locking bands in qtool.
Thanks for your co-operation so far

If i post the apn settings of some canadian carriers (Rogers, Bell, Fido, etc) will they make it into the huge apn lists that come with the roms? Because they are missing alot of our carriers and it would make things easier for us canadians if they were included

+1 on that! sick of manually entering the APN. Thanks!
why not use the APB backup tool... would be much easier
Well, you have to connect to the internet to download the APN B&R Tool. Or you could store the apk for it on your SD card, but then you'd still need to download a file manager to get to it. It'd be great if the custom ROMs all had APN B&R on them. Or you know... a more complete APN list :/

TBayTel is the same as Bell.
I installed the app SMS Go Pro and replaced my stock sms app. The app is great, very functional and lots of options.
The problem is that, I tried different APN settings to use for my MMS. Im currently under Koodo Mobile and I have checked their settings for NON Koodo phones. I am able to send but unable to receive. When I do receive, occasionally it would be a download error.
I had my friends who used BB Bold send me a picture msg and until now I have not receive it. Its has been 6hrs. I had my other friend try it on his iPhone 3G and send me a picture msg, which i received after 5mins or so and i could not open it, "unable to download file" the error states.
I have no problem sending pic msg but receiving is the problem.
I now uninstalled the app and went back to my stock sms app and will start testing it.
Anyone here either use Handcent/Chomp/SMS Go Pro and have had any luck receiving?
Pls let me know. Thanks.

i use handcent i was unable to send and recieve i found this solution and it has worked for me so far.. go into the apn settings and under APN TYPE put in: default, mms ...
let me konw how that works out for you
Ok. Ill try that. Ty.
When I reverted back to my stock SMS. It worked but with a slight change to my apn. It seems I have to include the mms info and incorporate it into my data apn settings. Which is really weird.
I'm back now again to Go SMS Pro and with the new apn settings with data, still null.
Ill play around again n post back.

If I understand correctly, I am able to change APNs in Beans to get sims from other providers to be recognized. I will be travelling to Barcelona in a few weeks and would like to purchase a local, prepaid sim. What do I need to look for with sims? How do I know what to change the APNs to?
Thanks!

When you get to Spain buy a prepaid sim at one of the kiosks either at the airport or downtown (I would go with one of the big players as the coverage is usually better (Vodaphone, orange, etc) and then you need to add the appropriate APN data based on the card you buy. Here are a bunch of the APNs for Spain... that should cover you. I would link you to the thread where this came from but I can't find it right now (I copied the whole list awhile ago so I wouldn't have to dig for it).

I can speak for Iceland and France...it was super easy. Didn't even need to add the APN data manually (the VRAMC3 update took care of it). Just pop the new sim in and boot up. Should work perfectly. Definitely stick to a major provider though...should help avoid any issues.

Hi guys,
Here are my stats:
Android 4.3.1
Baseband version: 1.13.11.0830
Kernel version: 3.4.11-g69442cc
CyanogenMod: 10.2.0-jewel (Release)
I have two issues:
1.) My Wifi sometimes refuses to connect, where as my other devices connect just fine. I have to restart my phone before it works again. Once I restart it works again until the next time it stops. Currently I have:
Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep: Always
Wi-Fi Optimization - Minimize battery usage when Wi-Fi is on: Checked
I've tried turning off wifi optimization off too with same results.
2.) My radio's data seems to take a lot longer to connect. Travelling to new places it can take almost 5 mins for it to connect. Setting network mode to CMDA only tends to help get a data connection but keeping a data connection still seems flaky.
Network Mode: CDMA+LTE/EVDO
System select- Change the CMDA roaming mode: automatic
CDMA subscription: NV
I've upgrade through various Cyanogenmods versions and I still see the same issues coming up. At this rate I might just go back to a sense rom
Thanks!
Seems to be a common issue with the CM builds. For your WiFi issue, is it with a particular router, or just in general? Reason I ask is because WiFi always seemed finicky connecting to 2Wire routers. As far as data issues, Captain Throwback posted a "fix" for data issues, which can be found in the CM 10.2 Nightly Q&A in my sig, if you want to give it a shot.

It's happened with various routers. More often my home router (Linksys) but its happened at work and friend's place, with the only fix restarting.
As far as the APN fix, it seems to be for 10.2 Nightlies? I have a 10.2 release, shouldn't it have the fixes (see this)? Also would my problems be fixed if I switched over to CM 11? Or is it still fairly unstable? Is there any way to manually look at my current APN values before I blast them away?

No, you're right, the fix should be part of the stable release that you're running. As far as CM 11 goes, I'm still seeing reports of data & WiFi issues.

From my research, it seems many folks are having problems with IPv6 on their Android devices, and one poster found this:
https://goo.gl/A7LfIW "the explanation is in comment #23: "what changed is that Android now supports RDNSS. The device is getting (and using) an IPv6 DNS server via RDNSS without an IPv6 address that it can use to talk to it, and that delays DNS queries".
So, I've been using an app from the Play Store that disables IPv6, but it needs to be run/applied way too frequently.
Does anyone know of an app that will script the change to disable IPv6, but preferably also script/unscript the changes when or if needed?
I was able to find and follow these instructions to have it done automatically, but it still has to run every time wlan0 varies on/off, which is a lot of times, considering the phone disables WiFi to send MMS!

I'm using a:
T-Mobile Galaxy S6 [SM-G920T]
Android 5.0.2
Disable IPV6 on vs985 Rooted, running CRDROID 7.1.2
After reading all the issues with IPV6 and the difficulty in turning it off... I came across a way to disable it permanently. Reversible of course....
I modified my apn config file in SYSTEM/ETC/APNS-CONF.XML
This is what it looks like now:
<apns version="8">
<apn carrier="Test Internet" mcc="001" mnc="01" apn="VZWINTERNET" type="default,dun,mms,supl" protocol="IPV4" roaming_protocol="IPV4" />
Where "IPV4V6" was, it was changed to "IPV4"
Find the apn=(whatever apn you have selected on your phone).... in my case it was VZWINTERNET, and edit the two IPV4V6 entries after that.
Using Network Info ll, it now shows "No IPV6 gateway found".
Maybe other systems will have an apns config file of some kind.
