Hello,
When i try to play a video in HQ i get that "video can not be played" error :S heeelp.
Doesn't seem to be a fix for this so far AFAIK, because I have seen many post this issue, but no solutions yet. Which ROM?
Hello,
i'm using CM7 and it is also so.
I cant playing HD Video on Youtube.
HQ is not equivalent to HD. The Wildfire is obviously not capable of playing HD videos because of its extremely low screen res (No point in playing HD) and slow processor.
Hq means video with resolution of 640x360 & wildfire can only handle upto 480x320
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App

But ever since updating to 2.3.4... I getvery sight lag in the video playback in the native youtube app.. video is fine on web browser through flash ... but on the native app it stutters ever so slightly ..... I wanted to know if only I'm having this issue....

Hi,
I had the same problem in youtube app on every KG* ROM so now I'm back on KF2 (2.3.3).
Hmm.... I wish samsung fixed the issue
:-(
I think it might be some thing to do with youtube video and samsung 2.3.4 video decoding because the video stuttes even in their mobile site..... Its only youtube that's having this issue...
Dailymotion works fine... N youtube on flash its ok too just quality isn't as ...
Im on kg5 with stock rom(cf-root) and watching youtube via the "Tubex" app which is free from the market its running fine.
+1 for Tubex
Youtube runs fine on stock XXKH3 firmware for me.
Working fine too on xxxkh3 so far no problem at all

Well heating is normal when you have glass back ,but i dont get it that videos are laggy, was working perfect for me when i was on KK.
Thank you for replying I think decoding problem. And yes this laggy inconspicuous way not to much It's only have hw mode playing but old firmware 69 version it's not happened in hw mode its not laggy it's only 167 firmware version laggy videos and only 1080p format not 720p works fine so my friends phone is z2 and same problem have but he doesn't care that's problem.because camera videos not laggy 4k videos not laggy or 1080p record just fine it's only has downloaded videos from torrent. And avi files just fine I think not device problem it's just Sony firmware problem because like I said old firmware 69 version hw mode torrent videos or any 1080p convert videos playing just fine not laggy or jumping frame it's perfect

Hi,
I've just started using my Blaupunkt Capetown 945 head unit running Android 4.1.1.
I've installed the official YouTube app from Google app store but I'm unable to see video. Audio works fine but video is just blurry random colours.
Does the app require a video decoder of some kind?
Install this version, will work.
