Why can it not just be flashed in flashtool normally?
Why format the sd card?
What is the app for?
Downloading and testing soon
Maybe try a new download site...your dropbox account will get a temporary ban if the traffic is too much.

Actually it is flashed normally, those 3 options which he mention are those 3 options which are selected by default every time when you flash full ftf.
Also, about format sd card, totally useless.
And about app, again IMHO useless(at least for this, don't know for other things that app can do), shows you language/language region/country, none of those tell you about your fw version, but about settings in your phone.
For example there is no fw for my country exactly, yet it shows letter for my country.

I installed the Google dialler after flashing the Google Dialler Support (Framework) (.zip), made it the default dialler (with all permissions) and disabled the stock Dialler through recovery but whenever I make or receive a call, both dialler's {incallui}s show simultaneously, sometime the stock in front and sometimes the Google one and both their notifications also showing. I wanted to disable the stock incallui but can't find it in the priv-app directory(in recovery). Does anyone know how to disable the stock incallui? Any help would be much appreciated...thanks!!

If you're using TWRP, you'll have to mount system to access system files. The option to do this is in the main screen of TWRP: Mount>System. Then you can go to Advanced>File Manager and access system files.

I haven't tried the back up and restore feature and I don't want to as I've got a 64 gig SD formatted as internal and I'm not sure if all my data will be retrievable if I tried formatting and restoring from the back-up.
Okay now can anyone help me with my problem, please!

I'm not looking for the dialler, I've already disabled that...I want to disable the stock incallui (the screen which appears when placing or receiving a call). Also, I don't remember the actual name but the dialler is not named phone.apk. Generally, the incallui is simply placed in an app called incallui.apk but weirdly, this phone doesn't have it making it really frustrating to deal with 2 call screens simultaneously.

This is not because of root. This is due to unlocked bootloader which, I'm guessing, triggers the developer mode for the device. This doesn't affect the functionality of the device so you don't have to worry!
Turns out, the incallui is bundled up with all of the telephony frameworks or whatever and deleting this makes the phone not detect the SIM and lose connectivity. If someone with some knowledge of code and how sh*t works could look at the apk and just remove the incallui part, I'd buy them a beer or two. I've posted the link to it below. Thanks!

I have debloated my Huawei P20 Lite because it was a waste of space and I don't need these apps.
But after I did that, I wanted to use Google Calendar as the default calendar but after I have debloated my phone, I can't open it anymore.
If I press on the icon, it doesn't open anymore.
I asked somebody about this problem and he says I have to reinstall Huawei Calendar again.
Easier said then done, because I can't find a apk of the recent version of Huawei Calendar so how can I reinstall Huawei Calendar?
Apparently you can't
Maybe someone can extract it with hisuite via PC
You cant instal them, but you need to put files as in pictures, give a try : files here
oh, forgot to mention, when files are in place, need restart phone

I have tried your solution, but it's unclear what I exactly need to do.
Even I looked to the pictures, I don't still understand how.
Can you send a backup of Huawei Calendar?
If that is not possible, can you explain me how to do your solution?

Files need to put as in pictures app path
/System/priv-app/calendar/ folder
If you don't understand, then reflash whole system , and stop messing with it!
Oh, but what's your system build , I provided files from Android 9, aka 9.1.0.254

When you deblooted phone, your version was 250 something, not 278, correct ?
This update to 278 needed to fix your problem ( kuz for me after any update all system delete apps are back, and need to delete every time)
But, if problem still there, need to reflash system, and jeah, then all data will be erased.
But, if you didn't update to 278, then wait for next update

Okay, I have discovered TimeTree, and fortunately that works.
I have decided to keep TimeTree as the calendar on my phone because I can reflash the stock ROM, but I get all the apps back, not only Huawei Calendar and I don't want that
These unneeded apps are wasting my storage space, so that is the reason that I will keep TimeTree
But however, thank you for your help and support

You can try using the PhoneRescue for Android PC software once! The steps are straight forward and if you want, I can still guide you through it, and how to remove all the softwares shortcuts and app data after your work is done.
ok let me try bro

I'm not sure cuz if you root the phone, you'll need to use magiskhide, then pass safetynet, then clear storage and cache of the app, and then try, risk of losing current app data is also there.
But I've read few android deleted files recovery tool that use root, but it's all their own promotion, so idk, depends on you.
I'd say we will fall even deeper rooting it rn ngl.
