Downgrading Oreo to Nougat - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

Hi All.
Is there any way to downgrade official Oreo to Nougat in Mate 10 lite? Any help in this regard would be appreciated.
Regards

be careful. At first, try to downgrade by using HiSuite or phone manager if you upgraded by OTA.
You know when upgrading from Naugat to Oreo, the system partition has been changed. (REcovery, Boot, System are complex).

You can downgrade using nocheck recovery (HWOTA), just be sure to use the one for Oreo when downgrading.

You need at least unlocked bootloader. Twrp is not needed as HWOTA does the work.

Which guide to follow after Official unlocking bootloader?

I've unlocked my bootloader the Official way. Here are my doubts-
1. Which guide to follow for root, twrp nd flashing?
2. Will i still get Ota updates for miui?
3. When is miui 8 coming to RN3 Pro?[emoji14]
P. S. I have Snapdragon version.
After official unlock you have nothing to worry about.
1) Flash twrp and then any rom that you want
2) If you decide to flash official rom, yes
3) Nobody knows. Probably they'll first release it to their flagship phones like Mi5, and after that we'll get it. Probably in a month or two.

you dont need all that, just flash the global beta. you should have root natively in the security app
flash beta just to have ad-away (in my case) I don't like that
most people flash beta just for root, if you have the MTK version there is a new way to root on locked bootloaders.

The root from global beta isn't a "real" root, it has restrictions. You can't for example use adaway etc. I suggest the author to flash twrp then SuperSU to have fully functional root.

You can S-Off and Super CID your phone from your nearest HTC servicing shop for about 5-10$ (for me, it took nearly 6.5$) by 'xtc2clip' or you can use 'Sunshine S-Off' app for android which costs 25$.
And to downgrade, you'll need 5.0.2 Firmware files which are locked while phone under S-ON mode. i have these firmware files, if you need these files, i'll upload these files here
Good luck!

Can you explain the procedure to downgrade step by step?
I am S-OFF & CID:11111111 (owner of xct2clip), but everytime I have tried to downgrade (via RUU or fastboot flash 0PFJIMG.zip) , I have failed miserably. I have tried relocked bootloader, unlocked bootloader, new HTC drivers & fastboot.......
I was able to restore a lollipop TWRP backup, but that doesn't downgrade the baseband, hence I still get reboots & bootloops when on the cyanogen rom
So which exact stock firmware files & procedure did you use to downgrade?

How to update STF-L09C432B100 in bootload to B130?

Hi,
My Honor 9 (STF-L09C432B100) boot looped when I flashed SuperSu v2.82 with TWRP 3.1.1
I don't find the B100 rom on the web so I would like to install B130.
Does anybody knows how to do it?
Thanks for your reply.
1. B130 doesnt work well at the moment, download B120 https://yadi.sk/d/Y2yuM--73Lb9Kk
2. Follow the rebrand guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/how-to/guide-honor-9-t3653719 (Make sure your bootloader and FPR are both unlocked)
3. Enjoy your fully working phone (If you want to install supersu choose this one, it works on mine https://download.chainfire.eu/1122/SuperSU/SR3-SuperSU-v2.82-SR3-20170813133244.zip)

Going completly back to stock

Hey lads, help me understand something,
How can i go back to stock? I mean, no root, locked bootloader, no custom recovery, stock rom with the possiblity of OTA updates. As if i never touched my phone to begin with. I have no clue honestly.
Thanks lads.
Just download miflash tool. Go into bootloader(powerbutton + volume down keys), and flash the latest MIUI version and make sure to choose the option : CLEAR ALL AND LOCK.
Thanks! But i cant use the mi flash software, it doesnt recognize my phone!! I tried it all. for focks sake im losing my mind here!
Install the snapdragon drivers, and verify is your data cable is working correctly? If still it don't show then reinstall the windows or use another pc.

Miui global stable 9.6.2.0 fastboot rom for vince:
http://bigota.d.miui.com/V9.6.2.0.N...FD_20180608.0000.00_7.1_global_caaf0fdef6.tgz
This solution works with Global version right? I'll get a MIUI 10, I'd like to try some AOSP Oreo Build like Pixel Experience, if there's anything I don't like, then I'll want to put back MIUI with locked bootloader/encryption/etc before handing over the handset to a relative.
I read somewhere that re-locking bootloader was not possible with some versions in the MIUI forums. But maybe it was an old post.

I guess if you download the first ever android release for this phone from its official website and flash it via its stock recovery, you will be able to downgrade your phone to android Nougat.
Backup ur data before doing this. Coz it may delete your personal data.
NB: Do at your own risk. I have not done it. So cannot confirm if it works.
