Use any other camera app from the market. Like lgcamera.

you can use alternatives like Camera360 or Camera zoom fx

I'm honestly thinking of switching up the camera apk from CM7.2 to the stock rom one. Is that possible?

That would be a great idea. I prefer the stock rom camera app, we could also use flash when recording video and the stock panorama was great!

Yeah............. TIME TO MAKE A THREAD AND ASK!
Finally, i found and answer to that problem hehe, i was beginning to think it was only me with this camera zoom issue, and as cool as it is this camera app, it just doesn't work as expected, no zoom, no on/off button for taking pictures, etc. hehe, is there a way to take out the original camera apk from a stock rom and put it in cyanogenmod?

Lol.. I made a thread asking that. No its not possible. Then you'd have to edit the framework.apk or something and switch up a whole bunch of things in order to make the stock one work in CM7.
I had stock camera app working on cm7 you will actually also need to install all the samsung apps

Uhm ... then it just doesn't worth it, i have installed cyanogenmod to get rid of samsung stuff, so, i guess i will continue to testing camera 360, and i will seriously consider to get camera zoom fx, to see what can i do with this apps ...

Now that's sad. I mean I've tried quite some camera apps and on second thought, I felt that one worked quite well.
yeah...i read miui doesnt make its camera app source code available...so its impossible to port it to non miui roms

you can try camera nextmod by sangeet007 or official htc camera from htc 10,
Working great on Slim 6. Camera quality is good in low light( no aggressive noise reduction) + 4k video recording. Will use this from now on for low light imaging. Sometimes toggling flash on off causes black screen. Just open gallery & click back will fix it. Maybe only I am facing this problem.....nothing more. Thanks for the camera app

Yes you do have to enable camera 2 API and you can do that by flashing twrp and flashing magisk then installing camera 2 API enabler.

i am getting a green tint on every photo i take from the rear camera.....even on whatsapp (same issue)
AND THE WORST PART: the front camera is SUPER BAD!
Please fix it ....or tell me how to debug it myself...
i think changing the in-app settings may solve it!

That's an old build and it wasn't even made specifically for Vince
Uninstall that one and install this, this is the Vince port, it doesn't have the night sight features but it's stable

Just focus on object target will be locked for blurred background....

This camera is better than stock
Photos are sharp and i didn't mention about portrait
