Hi,
I am looking to buy Stratos smartwatch and I have Oneplus One that works just perfect, except that GPS is dead for like a year and I thought would it be possible to use smartwatch's GPS signal for navigation/location on Google Maps or other app on a phone if watch is paired with a phone?
Is such a function even possible on any smartwatches? This way I would avoid buying a new phone just for a GPS function.
Thanks!
No its not possible

I don't think there is any way to do it, only using specific devices used for GPS that use Bluetooth. But you can install apps on watch, and even use routes with sports activities to guide you during the activity.

Hi everyone,
I was wandering if We could connect to a GPS via bluetooth using our Folio?

Bluetooth GPS
Hi,
I am using an app downloaded from Android Market, the Bluetooth GPS by Googoo Android, v. 0.5.8.
It works fine with my Folio 100, with Dexter's mod 1.3b.
The bluetooth GPS device is a Touch GPS device.
i can confirm that it works.
i used it with my nokia n95 as the GPS unit, using the symbian app ExtGps by symarctic (should work on all s60 devices with a built in gps). and the app Bluetooth GPS by Googoo Android on the folio.
remember to allow mock locations =)

nah. some people use wifi location.
I'm using a bluenext gps, Bluetooth GPS by Googoo Android. Seems fine but not used in anger yet. The setup uptions are all 'automated' by the apps, they open the dialogue for you so not much need to change the defaults, I think.
Remember the GPS pairing may not become 'active' without the app running.
Great news.
Thank you all!
Hello,
I use the internal GPS of my Samsung Galaxy S with GPS 2 Bluetooth v.2 and Bluetooth GPS Provider on my Folio.
It works great

Pair the G-tab & your GPS and then download an app like:
https://market.android.com/details?id=googoo.android.btgps&feature=search_result
or
https://market.android.com/details?id=de.mobilej.btgps&feature=search_result
Make sure to following the directions of the app (turn on 'Allow Mock locations', etc).
GPS
Thanks for the info, i'll try it out ...
Since google maps requires an internet connection for you to navigate, your 10.1 inch screen gps (aka gtab) will be useless. What you need is something like copilot. It's a gps app for android that has a preloaded map of the country.
I bought a gtab for my elderly dad specifically to make it a 10.1 inch gps unit for him. He loves it.

I use Co-Pilot and it works well. Note that some people are having issues with getting the app to play nice with the G-tab when purchased from the market. I bought it years ago from their website, and it installs a bit differently.
If you happen to have a phone that supports tethering, you can always tether the tab (WiFi or Bluetooth in some cases) and get your google maps fix that way. I sometimes tether the G-Tab to my Droid X, and then use Google Nav or Waze.
Also a new version of Google Maps should be coming out that supports caching of map tiles. Not sure of the exact mechanism yet, but it should allow for the use of navigation without a connection.
Thanks Z-B for your input, i am hoping that the new update allows for using google maps without a wifi connection.
Hi all,
Asking for help on BT pairing issue, I can connect to any bt speakers I have, but I can’t connect with bt headsets.
Do not understand why, the bt headsets connects to mobile phone with no issues!!
And as far as I know, my amazefit is global version and same as my wife’s. But mine doesn’t have finding phone menu.
Did I buy fake product??
Thanks in advance..
Amazfit cannot discover BT input device
I have a similar problem. I have couple of BT earbud headsets that pairs/connects to Win10/Android phone fine but do not pair (cannot be discovered) with the Amazfit Pace.
It looks like if the BT device appears as a headset icon on Win10/Android phone, then Amazfit Pace can discover/pair/connect with it. However, if the BT device appears as a keyboard icon (input device?) on Win10/Android phone, then Amazfit Pace cannot discover it, hence cannot connect to it.
I am running ROM version 1.3.5.

I can't connect my new BerryKing Heartbeat Sensor with my Stratos it supports bluetooth 4.0, but the watch can't detect it. On my sony xz1 compact everything works fine.
Does anybody know a solution?

Hi everyone. I just received my amazfit gtr 47" and it works perfectly. Anyone knows how to connect to Bluetooth on my Huwaei Mate 9 with Emui 9.1? Thanks!
It works perfectly but you cannot pair with your phone?!? If it is paired with another phone, you must first unpair.

It is connected to phone but I really don't know how. I activated all notifications for apps including Whatsapp and my watch doesn't receive any messages.
Nontheles, on the phone app it appears as "connected". When I open the Bluetooth setting on my phone it doesn't appear the gtr under devices.... So, no idea.

Someone in the Global Amazfit group on Facebook reported a similar problem... IIRIC, he fixed it by unpairing the watch, re-installing the app and pairing again.
