Will i get OTA updates if I flash Supersu through ADB and do not install any custom recovery? Will Supersu work properly?

I received the Nougat OTA today, but when it went to install via recovery I got the little dead android. I do have the systemless root. Should my nexus 9 be able to take OTA updates?
What Recovery Have you installed? If you Have a custom Recovery like TWRP, you cannot Flash the OTA update with it.
Use flashfire app, this works fine.

Is there any way to install the OTA updates on the root device and TWRP without back to stock ROM? I tried flashing the stock recovery.img and remove root in SuperSU app but it didn't work. Thanks
i rooted my device through magisk,so when i install ota update it reebot into twrp recovery mode and then the update doesn't install
When I tried to install the newest OTA update (NPNS26.118-22-2-18) with TWRP as recovery, it failed to update. firmware.center doesn't seem to have this update on file either. I ended up flashing the stock rom again and letting it update before rooting again. Is there any way to install OTA updates with TWRP WITHOUT losing all of your data?
I have the same problem (and unfortunately I do not know the answer)
OTA will not install with TWRP present. Theoretically it should be enough to flash stock recovery and bootloader only (without loosing data) but it is just an unverified speculation
Just checking, has anyone tried the ota unroot then direct install after update method. With the lastest magisk released today?
I did adb sideload method and flashed patched boot img with magisk 25
