Hello, is there a way to enable, even with root (without third part apps that drains all for me) these two function?
1. notifications of third part apps (whatsapp or gmail) in always on display screen (where arrive only calls and sms)
2. double tap to wake phone from always on display
I repeat that third parts app like glance, have many battery drain and work not regolar

Has anyone gotten Notifier Pro or a similar app to work with the Note 2 (T-Mobile)? Its supposed to wake the phone and put a little banner on top with a quick line or two about the notification, basically like an iPhone's reaction. Unfortunately this app doesn't do anything when I get an email or install apps. I have every single app selected to trigger the action but I have no luck. I did activate the service in Accessibility options. It also works fine if you're using the phone already (phone isn't locked/sleeping). I did find an app that wakes the phone on notifications but without a little summary banner that's pretty useless.
It would be really cool if there was a way to do these things with apps or any other way. I just collected a few which I think of as most important.
Keep screen awake in chosen apps (eg fitness, maps, notes, ...)
End calls using the watch and change speaker mode while in a call
Lock mode for showering
Disable the wake up gesture (wrist movement) without disabling notifications
Choose not to go back to home screen when the display times out
Remove notifications from the watch face so you can finally use analogue ones (the notifications will only show when you swipe down or get a new notification from certain apps --> eg sms will still show when you get one, but weather etc won't)
I linked the threads / posts of the people who posted the idea first. This thread is just to collect them
Edit:
Ok so number 1 - 3 can be done with:
N1 - Swipify
N2 - Dialer for Android Wear or Speed Dial for Android Wear
N3 - Wear My Launcher
Please where is this function? And battery optimization permission.... Are same things ? Thank
From what I've been able to determine, there is no 'protected apps' menu option on Emui 8.
The place to adjust them is in - Settings - Battery - Launch. Personally I find Huawei's management way too agressive, so I turned off managing all automatically. Then in batch manually set everything to allowed and let Android sort it out. It doesn't seem to have made any difference to my battery life, but at least most notifications seem to work now. You could manually set only the ones you want to allow to run in the background though and it might help.
From settings - battery I also went into the settings icon top right and turned off the 'power intensive prompt' option because it was annoying - Google maps is SUPPOSED to be using frequent positioning, and my podcast app isn't much use if it isn't running in the background!
The whole power management seems to be designed for a phone with a tiny battery, where micro management is needed - but on a phone with the largest battery out of any flagship it seems needlessly aggressive....
Edit: It is also possible in the running apps/recent apps screen to click the lock icon on a program which is supposed to prevent Android from closing that app - but not sure how effective that is on EMUI.
Hello to all. I have installed in huawei mate 10 pro and I would like to use an application to notify gmail emails and whatsapp messages on always on display. use led blinker application that works properly when the phone is charging, while when it is without cable the notifications arrive only when I turn on the screen. I can think that it is a protection of consumption but I have activated all possibilities. could someone tell me what I could activate to solve this problem? thank you
This does exist. It's in the recent apps page (bottom left/right button, depending on your settings).
If you press the lock icon on an app it should "lock" the app from automatically closing.
It also prevents that app closing when you tap the recycle bin icon in the recent apps page.
This is exactly what I need, but I am running EMUI 9 on mate 10 pro and I cannot find this "lock"!! Yet I am sure I have seen it at some point in time... X-(
I just got the Android Pie/EMUI 9 upgrade last week and I found the lock by accident. When viewing your apps in the recents view, find the app you want to lock and drag it down towards the trash icon. You should now see the lock icon for that app at the top, and it should be protected from clearing recents. Clicking the lock or dragging it down again should toggle the lock.
On recent apps list, slide down the app window to lock - lock pad on top. Slide again to unlock
Hello. Has this update these 3 important functions that only Huawei has not?
1. Notification third part apps in always in display
2. Double tap on screen to wake phone
3. Possibility to protect apps from standby when screen is off
Thanks
Hello,
I have been the owner of the Realme GT 5G phone for 2 weeks - it has Andoird 11 (v RMX2202_11_A.11) with realme UI 2.0. I spent hours trying to configure a few things, but I failed. As I didn't get the desired results, I decided to try to find help on the forum.
So, starting from the beginning:
1. I have a problem with the Facebook Messenger app, because when I work in vibration mode, notifications coming from the app are only signaled with a very short and delicate vibration. This vibration lasts for about 1 millisecond, which I can barely feel when I'm holding phone in my hand and expecting the notification. I checked vibration for notifications from other applications and they work properly.
a) I have all notification settings turned on in the Messenger app.
b) In settings -> Sounds and vibrations -> vibration intensity -> the sliders for the vibration with the ring and the vibration with the notification I have set to maximum
c) Battery settings for Messenger app are "optimization off"
When I have ring mode on, the Messenger notifications are properly signaled with a sound.
So what is wrong with vibration pattern for this app? Why the notifications are not properly signaled? What can I do to get normal vibration notification?
2. I have 2 games in "Game space app", version of the app is 4.5.27_6d29cc7_210603.
a) When I'm using app #1 - the Messenger chat bubbles are on top of the app, so I can see them for the entire time <- and that's what I would like to achieve.
b) When I'm using app #2 - the Messenger chat bubbles are hiding under the app #2, so I have to show the navigation bar (swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen), to see chat bubbles on the screen.
In settings for Messenger I have set "Display over other apps" as on.
Which setting is responsible for this feature?
3. Another problem with notifications from some apps (inter alia: Gmail, and game #1).
I'm using original Always On Display mode.
The problem is that some notifications don't come when the phone is locked and Always On Display is working.
Notifications from text messages, calls, facebook messenger or game #2 arrive normal, at the time of their receipt.
But from Gmail or game #1 notifications only arrive when I press the power button and wake up the screen. So when the screen is locked, there are no chances to get notification from those apps. This is silly because notifications are there to notify you of an event when you are not using your phone. But in this case, they only notify when the phone is in use.
a) Battery settings for these apps are "optimization off", "allow auto startup", "allow background activity".
b) In notification settings these apps have all settings on. They can notify everywhere and everytime but that doesn't solve the problem.
What else can I do, to receive these notifications on time?
Thank you for your help
