Hi, Don't know where else to ask so hoping someone here may be able to help.
We've had a chromecast plugged into this port for a year or two without issue. The T95Z plus is working fine otherwise but every few minutes (sometimes much more frequently), the signal drops and comes back a few seconds later and the stream continues playing - (we've missed a few seconds of video rather than the stream pauses and restarts). This happens with both Kodi and Smart IPTV. Any help really appreciated as otherwise, it's a really nice little box.
I can't post the vid or gif of it happening because this is a new account - The screen goes black, I see 'HDMI1' in the top left corner of the screen and then the stream quickly fades back in 2 or 3 seconds later.

Well i spent all day trying to root my atrix 4g [AT&T 4.1.8.3 android 2.2.2] without a SD card with no success. So i let my phone charge and chill watch some family guy, eat some candy, visit my invisible turtle, etc. and at around 4:41 AM [EST]
I plugged my phone out by accident so i plugged it back in and seconds later some kick %$& rock music started playing, i then swiped the unlock key partially multiple times to the music, and then unlocked it kept playing and when i swiped the notifications bar down it stopped.
Anyone else get this?
Hopefully someone can help me with this issue.
When using the stock "Soundrecorder" tool i can record the first two seconds just normal yet right after that the recording-volume just decreases so fast that after one more second i cant hear anything anymore when playing back the recorded sound.
When i stop and record again same thing happens again. This is quite the issue also in Skype since ppl can hear me the first seconds and right after its like i turned the micro off.
Trying one thread bump again to get a respond from someone with similar issues before i hit a factory reset.
The problem is really something i have not seen on any other android device i own. You start recording speech and right after 2 seconds the rec-volume is NULL.
I mean there aint any settings for the sensibility the built in microphone records right?
Hi guys,
Hi guys,
Sounds and ringtones have suddenly stopped working. Didnt do anything nor did the phone fell or something. :S
Another issue when i try to play any media file, it wont play, it just stops and never plays. I can move along the timeline of music/vdieo file but it wont play i.e. it remains paused but indicator stays along the timeline e.g. 3 minute song, i press play button, it stays on 00:00, then when i move slider to say 1:50, it goes there but nothing happens, just stays on 1:50. After few tries, app crashes.
Even system sound files are not playing, so i cannot receive any sound notifications from call or messages.
I've tried puting in microphones, same problem.
Did a full wipe reflash...still problem persists.
I do not think its necessarily a hardware problem because it just wont play media files. As I said, all music and video files are on auto-pause... no matter what i do, i can slide on timeline, but they just remain paused.
I have tried flashing different JB roms with full wipes etc, still same problem, tried different player apps, same issue. Phone is vibrant, which is old but this shouldn't be happening nonetheless. Tried Slimroms 2.8 and 3.0 and Paranoid android latest, no luck.
Another issue, when I get a call and i slide to accept call, phone gets stuck for 5-10 seconds and then accepts the call, really annoying.
I dont have the money to buy a new phone at this point in time, I just hope to get through with 2-3 more months and then replace *finally*. Your help will be really appreciated.
I tried asking this in Vibrant Q and A forums, no luck.
Thanks!
bump~!
edit: videos started working :S , but no sound

I'm not sure where the issue comes from.. is it Android 8, the S9+, or is it YouTube Red doing it?
I have a free cell phone plan, but that only gives me 100MB data, so I got YouTube Red. I downloaded about 300 videos to play while I drive to work everyday.
First off, if you turn the bluetooth all the way up I get a message that listening for too long can damage your ear.. but they don't realize I'm not using a headset. I only use it in my car. It then turns the volume back down a bit (or stops moving up until I hit OK on the message). Is there a way to get rid of that via ADB somehow or other?
So here's the issue.. out of 300 videos I notice 2-3 videos start off fine, then get lower and lower in volume.. by 45 seconds in they're completely silent.
Most videos play fine, but a few of them seem to start at high volume and about 30 seconds in get slightly lower for the remainder of the song.
I currently have a Sony Z3C tablet I use with my Bose QC35 to watch Netflix and other videos on my daily commute.
I need to pause and resume playback at several points of the journey when I change platforms etc.
Currently this works flawlessly with the Z3C + QC35 - I just close the lid of the cover and the playback pauses. I then open the lid and resume playback and the BT connection is fine - playback continues with audio perfectly.
A few days ago I got the M5 8.4 Wifi model and tried using it to watch Netflix during the commute.
Initially playback and audio is fine, but after I pause and resume, there is no audio in the headphones - the M5 claims to be connected and the QC35 has not reported a connection loss...But no sound.
If I try disconnecting and reconnecting the BT connection on the tablet - the audio does not always resume. It seems the only sure way is to switch the QC35 off and on allow them to reconnect.
Can anyone advise on how to fix the problem above? Otherwise the M5 may have to go back - I dont want to be fiddling with connections each time and pause and resume on my commute....
Thanks in advance for any tips..
UPDATE: I disabled the SmartCover option in settings and this morning I manually turned the screen off and on each time to pause and resume and (so far) the audio connection was maintained and continued to play each time I resumed...
I'm happy you found a workaround for this problem, as this seem to be a fine affordable tablet.
I'm thinking of buying it myself whenever it arrive at stores here, but for use outdoor.
It really would help if you give me your opinion as to using it outdoor, in shade, and, under direct sunlight. Is the screen reasonably visible?
You may post your reply here, or, in this thread that's started by "XDA_RealLifeReview" here:

Many, many thanks in advance.
Hi @wondering wanderer I posted a reply about screen brightness on the other thread....
Update on the Bluetooth Audio performance - I would say this is still not as good as my 3yr old Z3C Tablet.
What I did not mention above is that my Bose QC35 are usually connected both to my HTC phone and my tablet during my morning commute.
This allows me to quickly switch between podcast/music on the phone and video on the tablet during different stages of my commute.
If am watching a video on the Z3C tablet, and some email / message arrives on the phone, the audio of the movie is interrupted for a second whilst the notification sound plays and then the movie audio resumes immediately.
But with the M5, the audio is lost for at least 2-3 seconds after the notification sound - which seems really naff. You would hope that a 2018 tablet would perform better than a 2014/2015 tablet.

Thanks harryw66 for taking the trouble posting a comment in the other thread.
As for the Bluetooth problem, I agree that 2018 should've been better than the older gadgets, but there's always a hope that Huawei would correct the problem via firmware update soon.
If it's a real bother though, then you might consider returning it for a full refund and watch for the firmware update (if it comes), then re-purchase it.
Either way you choose, I sincerely wish you good luck, and, thank you again.
I applied the Huaewei software update last night and then downloaded a new Netflix Episode - was definitely a larger file around 1.2GB for a 50min episode - compared to 500-600MB for previous episodes.
However, this morning when trying to watch the new Episode - each time I paused , I could not resume video playback. It just get stuck with a blank screen. I have to exit Netflix and run it again in order to continue playback.
Also, any episodes of shows that i had downloaded before the Update, wont play now - just get an unknown error when I try - I guess because of the WideVine update....
I will give it a few more days and if things dont settle down I will probably send it back and stick to my trusty Z3C tablet for now...
