A few days ago I'd read the forum and did'n t found anything in the oneplus 6 forum about Call Recording so I was looking @ Google and YouTube and solved my need to have a good call recorder for my device and I wanted to share it with you.
I was excited to see @ Youtube there was a call recording function inside the OS of the OnePlus 6. The only problem was it's hidden and you can't use it except if you are living in India (without modification).
I've tried to get the hidden feature "Call recording' enabled with succes by following the instructions for the OnePlus 5 in the article: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/themes/app-enable-call-recording-boot-t3634292
After 3 days of testing It's still working great with a Chrystal Clear audio quality!
Warning: In some countries, recording telephone calls is not permitted by law.
There is also a Magisk module to enable call recording. You can find it easily in the Magisk installer app in the list of modules.
Thanks for sharing.
I have try't the magisk module but seems not to work for me. I have the call recording setting in phone settings but I see no option in the callers screen to enable on specific call and when I try the option record all calls then no notification will be there when call and no record as I can not find the recorded file?
Any ideas.

Thanks for the reply.
Folder is not created so call recording is not working for me? Strange that it not works.

the magisk module you have to have installed and enabled what in the picture you are looking at downloading magisk.
Then you need to turn on the recording:
Telephone application -> three dots in the upper right corner -> settings -> call record

Me too
I got it working with the Magisk Module, but the recordings are horribly garbled. You cant understand the other end, let alone your own voice. I've tried changing the recording format from AAC to WAV and that didnt help. I used to use ACR (Automatic Call Recorder) from the Play Store. Worked great, but was hoping a built-in app would be even better. Guess not...
Anyone else having issues with the garbled voices in the recording?

I have the same issue with the garbled audio, so ended up disabling magisk module. Good to know it's not just me that has the issue.
I have vall recoding option by default so you guys dont have it by default
For me its working by default, without magisk module
Magisk module worked on Oneplus 6. For some reason it didnt work on my 5t. But this is perfect. I had ACR installed. Disabled it. Now this is auto recording all calls. BTW have to enable it from Phone's settings. Go to Dialer > Settings > Recording > Enable all options. Thanks!
Don't want to spoil everyone's excitement however i think that setting is probably hidden (in most regions?) for it might actually be legal to record calls - i can only tell about Germany where you can be charged with up to three years... So maybe that'd be worth mentioning in op.

Good point, added to OP.
For me magisk module work. When you press the first time the record button on a call, it will redirect to a options menu, activate the option there. Done.

Do you know why that is only available in India? Does India have a special law that allows this??

Love this module
There's only one thing which keeps me from enjoying the sound as well...
Would it be possible to route the sound through ringer/notification stream instead of media stream? I don't want sound to be played when the phone is set to silent for example in school or in a meeting.
Seems like just a small chance in code but I'm not that good at coding to accomplish that...

I need to second this. My media stream is almost always turned off because otherwise I'd be hearing noises in class. Notification stream would be a better choice. Otherwise, this is a pretty snazzy module.
Not working on Lollipop GPE ROM; Pulled SRC and it has 55 errors.
Works great. Thanks

AFAIK the app creates a folder called sound_fx or similar in /sdcard0 (internal memory) when launched (which I find rather annoying since the app copies the files every time it's started. I moved the files into 'ringtones' and next time I want to customize the dialog the folder is created again).
This folder should contain the named sound files

Hey, I just purchased the ZW2 a few days ago and It's a great watch but I have a few questions if anyone can help.
1.) I synced a few songs to my watch via Play Music but I can't figure out how to play them?
2.) If you say " OK Google play whichever song by whichever band" to the watch it will open the music player on the phone and direct you to the song and not begin playing the song. The OK Google command will play the song if directed on the phone but not on the watch. Is there a work around for this to make it play?
3.) Can you also get a notification sound via the watch speaker along with the vibration?
Thanks in advance.

1) Use a Wear player app on the watch like "Wear Media" or other
2) syntax always strange and not good result with title
3) use app like : lightflow, feel the wear, SWM notification
I am also a new owner of ZW2. I really like the watch but also cant figure out some things (altough it is my 4th watch with AW)
1. Can i upload some images to.my watch or watch then from the phone? I mean, is it possible to watch pictures from phones gallery, on this watch?
2. Is it possible to set my own mp3 as a watch ringtone? Or at least, if the watch can play the same mp3 as the phone?
3. Where do I get some free and nice watchfaces?
4. Why I dont have Whatsapp and Viber on my watch? On every previous watch, I had it.
Plus, when I scroll to my contacts, theres option to send them Viber or Whatsapp msg, but not every contact has that option altough everyone is usuing both of those communicators. Weird.
5. Can I uninstall some app from the watch? I dont need two weather forecasts so I would uninstall one of them, or at least, make ot invisible

Did you install the Zenwatch Manager app? It has a lot of free faces, and allows you to enable many of the features you are talking about. You do have to install Android Wear as well, as they interoperate. Yes, it does feel a bit bloaty, but the app does help you to setup the watch easily.
I also installed the Asus Clock app (which upgrades the alarm clock on the watch), Google Fit, and a calculator app for Wear. There *is* a MP3 player, but for some silly reason, it won't play using the onboard speaker. It requires a BT headset.
As for maps, while it doesn't appear to show the map on the watch, the navigation steps will show up if you are using Google Maps. That is a really cool feature.

@up - i dont like such a watchfaces. I preffer original watchfaces from real watches. But I use Watchmaker Premium.
@jshamlet, yes, I installed Zenwatch manager. It has some functionality, but thereś still some things for me, that can not be changed. For example, I hate the sound from the speaker, when I connect the watch to the charger. I wish I could turn it off. But only this - not other notification sounds.
When it comes to custom sounds, LighFlow does the work.
But I have still one major problem, which really is making me considering switching back to G Watch R, and that is display. I mean, when the watch goes into dimming mode (or whatever it is called) after few seconds, it doesnt look good. It looks like the half of pixels were off - I dont know if it´s to save the battery or the spec of the display, but it doesnt look good. It looks like 80x80 pixels - not 320x320. I am not sure if you know what I mean, but I will post a picture to compare (G watch and ZW2) on the same watchface. But my question is, if thereßs something I cold do about it.
Wysłane z mojego SM-T805 przy użyciu Tapatalka
for sync and play music with watch and on watch you can use new update google music.
Yes, ZW2 has a "Low bit mode" for his Dim mode with limited color. No good render for real watch but fine for classic digital face.
Ex with Watchmaker, not bad in dim mode :
I actually set my watch to turn the display entirely off, and use gestures instead. It's actually pretty good about sensing the "I'm looking at my watch" gesture, so I rarely have to repeat it. The battery savings are phenomenal - I usually get home with about 83% battery, and 75% by the time I strap on the charger at night.
The only real issue I have is that the onboard speaker and mic are largely useless unless you are literally talking into like **** Tracy. It's fine for notifications, though I prefer the vibration anyway. It is annoying that my phone constantly throws up an option to redirect phone audio to it, since I never do, but that is a fairly mild irritation.
That said, I didn't buy it for that feature, and for what it does, it's been a great device.
I have the larger ZW2 and just started to listen to music. How do I adjust the music to play through the watch speaker and not only through the phone?
Hi,
Is there a built-in appllication for call recording in our v30?
Searched for it & didn't find one. Maybe needs to be enabled(?) somewhere as it's not legal in every country (legal where I am).

Is there a different app that can be used on v30 that auto records all calls? I don't want to have to think about pressing a button since I most likely won't remember. I used to use true caller but the recording feature seems to not work anymore. I tried call recording that has the magisk module in the app but that one did not record either. Not sure if I'm just missing a permission or those apps just don't work...

I only get messages from Threema, if I open the App.
If the phone screen is off, the messages are not received, for the sender it looks like my Threema is offline.
I thought it is related to battery saving settings, but I disabled everything possible.
Threema is added to the exceptions for battery saver and is allowed to autostart.
Other app, like Google mail, can receive messages while the phone screen is off.
What else can I do?
Does anyone has the same issue?

Thanks for the hint, unfortunately it did not help.
There is the lock symbol now, but messages still cannot be received once the screen is off.
Not sure if this makes a difference, the messages can still be received maybe 60sec after the screen is off.

- locked Threema memory, like you suggested

I assume this was extracted from the Chinese version. Can someone please extract BOTH the Recorder and Call Recorder APKs? Chances are this will fix the incompatibility.
