Can't flash twrp - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

I had twrp installed before, and i wanted to updae it. So i downloaded twrp app, downloaded twrp img file and try to flash it , and twrp app says flash webt fine. But when i reboot to recovery it keeps loading, like if it was a bootloop of TVE recovery... Idk what is happening, can someone help me?? Thanks!!

Heyyo, hmm is TWRP app installed as a system app? TWRP is able to do that from within TWRP recovery. Installing it from the Play store does not install it as a system app.
I do always prefer to install TWRP updates manually but that's just personal preference.
If you can't boot to recovery? You may need to flash TWRP via bootloader and a PC using...
fastboot flash twrp-3.2.1-2-x2.img
Good luck!
Oh, if you're rooted? I think you can use flashify app via play store to flash TWRP image to recovery... But tbh haven't tried it like that in a while but I imagine it still can work like that.

What version of twrp are you using? I would update twrp if you aren't on the latest since some roms require newer versions of recovery

i am using v 2.1.8, or whichever version comes with the one click method .........thanks for the quick response! is there an updated version i can try??
Go to teamwin and download the latest, if you aren't familiar with fastboot then download the zip update and rename it following the instructions listed and in recovery mount external and copy the zip. Do not place the zip on internal, it will cause the phone to endlessly install and reboot (or reboot if you cancel) if you don't have a full system to boot to
easiest way is to download goo manager app.. top rite click the box.. then hit install openrecoveryscript.. that will install the latest twrp.. :good:

[Q] How to change CM12 stock recovery

So I just unlocked my bootloader and flashed CM12 with TWRP. TWRP refused to flash Gapps and just kept restarting, after I flashed CM12. I booted into CM12 and then into recovery and it was replaced with the CyanogenRecovery, which can't flash anything. When I tried with fastboot to flash TWRP, it said successful, but kept the Cyanogen one. How do I change it?
EDIT - Flashed it again with ADB and it worked. Now Gapps restarts TWRP.
Hey buddy
just install [ROOT] Rashr - Flash Tool by DsLNeXuS (Aschot Mkrtchyan) from the Play Store.
The App lets you decide wich recovery you want to flash

Can somebody help me please!

So hey! I successfully booted into the TWRP and used it to flash the DISABLEFORCEENCRYPTION file, right after. I decided to reboot to recovery (Cause I think that would be great just after you flash something in TWRP) but then after it finishes showing the pocophone booting screen rather than showing TWRP recovery. It showed the stock MIUI recovery! someone please help! I just finished flashing magisk and a custom rom by using the method of: Everytime I need to flash something using TWRP I would just open adb and fastboot boot recovery it again so that I could use the TWRP!
Thank you in advance!

I decided to fix this problem after I flashed a rom cause I think I would run into future problems involving magisk and it's use of the TWRP recovery.

If you already have the ROM installed, use adb to flash TWRP and without booting flash Magisk and then boot to system. If you are on stock ROM, follow THIS.
For entering into TWRP, use the key combination of volume up + power buttons.
You can use the encryption compatible TWRP (search for it) instead of the official one.

Is there any latest stock boot img for Mi A3?

I accidently upgraded my phone to Android 10 11.0.14 ( prehaps ). I want to install TWRP on this phone, and I attempted to install it without flashing the boot img, and it caused to entirely be bricked and stuck on fastboot, and I did also attempt to change the slot, but ****** off. I tried using MiFlash, ****** off, reinstall, ****** off. I still kept my OnePlus rom and I succeed to install and normally use it, and it still remained TWRP. I installed the stock rom for it cuz Oxygen is so unstable, and I did, but the TWRP is lost. I reinstalled it, but it bricked, again. I entered TWRP, wipe all data, and enter again, but lost TWRP. I figured that I did miss flashing boot img, thanks to a thread I accidently read. And I also figured how stupid I was when I just did upgraded my phone to the latest version, and there is no boot img compatible to that version, and I did searched entire internet for it. I didnt try to flash the boot img of the early version cuz I am afraid it bricked again cuz of the compatibility. So when will I expect for a boot img file to flash TWRP and when can I download and use it? Or technically I dont need that boot img file and just simply change the slot and flash it? Ty.
try this boot img, its compatible with android 10 also twrp is already installed in the boot img.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/mi...HR_Q-v2.2-laurel_sprout-official.img/download (its for official android 10 rom)
then flash whatever rom you like then flash this zip, it will install shrp recover

Hang on. What do you mean by TWRP is already installed ? Does it mean that boot img file already contained TWRP or I do need to install it as a boot img to get the phone boot and work normally?
And btw, is installing SHRP Recovery an opinion or a must?

the boot img already contain twrp, and the boot img should be able to boot your rom (stock android 10) and no shrp is not a must you can use any recovery you like, but if you want to keep your recovery after installing a rom you have to install the recovery installer zip

Question about installing TWRP

I have an already rooted galaxy a105m with magisk installed, however twrp didn't exist for the a10 when I rooted and installed magisk so I still have the stock recovery. How do I go about installing twrp? Preferably I'd like to not have to wipe my phone but If I have to it's ok.
Edit: Welp I'm dumb, all I had to do was dl the twrp img off of the main root guide, download the twrp official app from playstore, and flash.

Hiii I wanted to ask if the twrp official apk worked on your Samsung a10s...As am speaking I have it installed for some time now but it didn't work,it just on loading mode forever.
If you're already rooted you can download the TWRP img I used here (literally copied from the root guide) and flash via the twrp app (or whatever flashing app you want, that's just the one I used). However, if you're not already rooted I definitely suggest you follow the whole guide so you don't make any mistakes/mess anything up here.
