Hey, Is it working? Does it restore everything like themes, lockscreen wallpapers and other things? I'm asking because it looks like even you are confused as I see in other thread.
Try it
I would say try and let me know if it works out

Really? Please take responsibility of what you provide here.. just imagine what would have happened if somebody tried to restore the file given by you and ended up screwing their phone?
Bro, I never forced anyone to flash it. I posted a resource as it is and I see nothing wrong in this. When I need help and nobody helps me, how can you ever think that I will first try it out and then post it ? For whom should I do and why ? Tell me a good enough reason and then blame. You are free not to look at the post if you do not know what you are doing.
When I'll get time, I will test and let others know but let me tell , you cannot blame me for posting it since its just for someone who wish to use it, and who knows what he is doing.

I'm not blaming you for posting bro, I'm just suggesting you to put a note saying that it isn't tested. I'm asking because there are lot of folks who have bricked or unable to get back to stock (specially C675) and most of them are not so knowledgeable about flashing n stuff.
All I suggest is to give a fair warning.
Peace

Ohh, bro then just tell me a single post where a single person has helped me. I would say, absolutely "NOBODY" helped me and I struggled for couple of night to again come back to lineage, just experimenting by myself. I'm really disappointed with people over here, as most of them just want a solution for their problem, and cannot help anybody. You can check my guides, how descriptive it is for C675 users to have a working device. That is how how help others. But really I'm uninterested to help here because I'm not getting any and I'm myself stuck. Now I'll only help those who ask me for my help and if I know about it. It really doesn't make sense here to voluntarily help people.

Proceed at your own risk.I am not responsible if you bricked your phone, lost your IMEI etc. This method has been tested on Indian variant of Honor view 10.
You should have your both bootloader unlocked and FRP unlocked.
Download the Minimal adb fastboot and install it.
Then download the image file and place it in the minimal adb fastboot folder.
Reboot your phone. It will give you 3 options while you start up.
Press and hold Vol. Up button for 3 seconds to enter into e-recovery.
Select wipe/factory reset option.
It should reboot into TWRP(Official) recovery which you should have flashed
Then select and wipe>dalvik cache>cache>data>internal storage.Or else you choose swipe to factory reset.
After this select Reboot Bootloader.
Once in bootloader mode connect your phone to the computer.
Open Minimal adb fastboot shortcut which is in your desktop and type following commands
fastboot devices
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot reboot
If everything goes fine your phone should reboot into stock firmware.

Bro, is this link contains the FULL-OTA MF or just OTA of 8.0.0.151(C675) version?. If so then we can find a solution for updation.
The detailed steps for update is,
Warning: Take backup of data and other things as internal storage gets formatted.
1. First, if the device is rooted, Uninstall the root from Magisk manager. Don't reboot yet.
2. From the package given in #1, unzip and copy the folder "dload" to a SDCard and directory structure will be displayed as follows,
└─dload
├─BKL-L09I_hw_in
│└─update_sd_BKL-L09I_hw_in.zip
├─update_sd.zip
3. Now reboot and enter into fastboot mode, and to remove twrp flash the stock recovery using the command,
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk [recovery_name].img
4. Now to verify whether it is successfully flashed, boot into erecovery by pressing the key combination: Vol up + Power button
5. In erecovery again select reboot system.
6. Now in device, enter the following command,
In the home screen dialer, enter *#*#2846579#*#* -, and the ProjectMenu page will be displayed. Go to 4. Software Upgrade > 1. SDCard Upgrade > OK.
7. The update will start. Just relax.
8. Finally after completion we will have version 8.0.0.151(C675).
Note: I tested it.
Thanks to the original uploader of this package and @oreopie.
Bro, should I exactly follow what you have written ? I mean I'm on lineage now. It works when coming back from Lineage right ?

If you follow the steps that I have mentioned in post above,I think you can get back to stock rom. But I am afraid that you can't install updates in future due to the presence of TWRP recovery. You need a stock recovery inorder to get the updates.
And if I choose to install stock recovery after the rom is installed ? Will it go wrong ?

@oreopie,
Bro, The process i have mentioned is to update from 8.0.0.140(Stock Rom) to 8.0.0.151(Stock Rom). Because when we root the device we will not able to update with OTA package and it fails at 17%.
First you try the method suggested by @effingbadluck and then try my method because i think it is a FULL-OTA and Bootloader will be relocked.

Bro, as you know we are on Lineage and want to come to stock by the system.img which you provided.
I assume we will have to flash recovery, ramdisk and system - all the three ? or flashing only system image will do ?
I think "Wildfire" used to flash all three ! What do you think ?

Hi! I have the same problem with yours. I just fix it! I immediately come to post my experience here!
I've try lots of recovery image file to flash to my phone, all failed. Then I try to boot from recovery image directly instead of flashing it to my phone. Finally, I find a A830L recovery image and boot it in fastboot mode. After boot into recovery, you can reflash your system!!
1st file: CWM_4.1.2_A830_Fastboot.rar
Download this zip file and unzip it. Run command line window in the unzip folder. Then, type "fastboot boot recovery6032.img" to boot from recovery6032.img.
Finally, you can flash any ROM you like.
2nd file: IM-A830L_S1232134_to_S1232211a.zip
This is the newest Android 4.1.2 original ROM, version S1232211, for your reference.
Links are attached in attachment. Hope my experience helps you!
But fastboot is not booting into recovery.

did you read any of the other threads about updating with TWRP ?
it's hard to help people when they don't tell you anything about their phone.
do you have a KIW-L24 / L22 / L21 or something else ?
did you try and find the correct update and stock recovery for your phone in The 5X File Depot ?
Did you read the how to return to stock so you can take updates ?
I can help you, but you have to post useful information and you have to try and find answers that have already been posted

If you flashed stock recovery you no longer have TWRP
to apply the update.app you put it in a folder on your ext_sdcard called dload
then power off the phone and power it on holding volume + and volume - and Power
this will start the flash from the dload folder

update.app is not corrupt it's encrypted you can't open it without a special tool
you did unzip it first right ?
your other option is to fastboot flash TWRP and this Rom >> http://loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.php?file=customromtemplate-5x-plk21-b130-r3.zip

@clsA: I'm in the same boat with my L24 Kiwi lol...where do I get the L24 update.app? I have the OTA+update+to+B151.zip from your file repo. Can I put the file as named into the dload folder and reboot into recovery, do I name it update.app or do i need special tools to go into the zip and get the update.app? On a MAC if that helps in your answer.

if you have an L21 and the update failed it's difficult to recover
if you have a different model their are other ways to fix your phone
to enter fastboot mode
1. Place the device in fastboot mode:
Turn off the device. (then wait for at least 2 seconds) For a mobile phone, press and hold the volume down and power keys simultaneously for at least 10 seconds (for a tablet, press and hold the volume up and power keys).
2. If the above operations do not switch the device to fastboot mode, please try the following steps:
Turn off the device. (then wait for at least 2 seconds) Then insert the USB cable and press and hold the volume down and power keys simultaneously for at least 10 seconds.
Step 2 worked for me every time

Thanks for the heads up on extracting the zip to get the dload folder.
I matched the recovery for the B151 with the extracted dload from the B151 firmware and it booted right away.
Thanks for the assist on the forum and the mental note to use stock recovery with stock rom!

clsA has made it simple enough for me in his previous posts in this thread.
Here is what I did....
- I downloaded the B151 stock recovery from clsA's Honor 5x file repo LINK HERE and in his signature and flashed it via fastboot. To enter fastboot look at post #14 in this thread.
- I downloaded also the B151 stock rom [Honor 5X_Firmware_KIW-L24_Android 5.1_EMUI 3.1_C567B151.zip] When you open this zip you will see the dload folder.
I was unable to adb push to the SDCARD so I had to use a card reader to move the dload folder to the root of the SDCARD.
- Once the dload folder is there you can hold down the key combination in step 2 of post #14 and the once stuck at 0% EMUI loading screen will count up the stock firmware install.
Hope it helps you returning to stock

you can try to unlock directly at your current stable rom, somebody able to do it while i can't do it and should move to dev rom to unlock.
if you failed to do it at current rom, you can move to dev rom using miflash and ofc using fastboot rom. if you should move to dev rom to unlock, choose LP rom since MM rom have forced encryption feature by default.
OK.. suppose now I unlocked the bootloader... wat should I do to flash twrp and root the phone.. should I just flash tarp and supersu or should I need to flash anything else... please help me step by step after unlocking bootloader...
follow lolipop unlock process Replace emmc_appsboot.mbn in dev rom and flash via mi flash done,
fastboot oem unlock-go
fastboot flash recovery recovery name.img
then flash radon latest marshmallow version and then flash supersu 2.76 done, its work for me,

you would beome comfortable in doing all this after once trying/.
if you even brick your phone there would always be a way out.
search it on youube.

Once unlocked bootloader and flash twrp.
You don't have to take help of PC or any other thing.
You can always do it on the phone itself.
Boot into twrp by pressing upper volume and power button.
Wipe everything except storages (internal or external)
And then install the ROM zip file and gapps file accordingly.

any rom can be install from phone through twrp directly but this is for rom other than miui.
if you install the global stable miui 8 official then its gone. your phone will brick. the bootloader, since is unofficially unlocked, your phone would stuck at mi logo.

If you do it by installing global dev kenzo ROM by mi flash then it may get stuck at 50-60℅ as happened to many here.
I have also experienced it. It got stuck at 40℅. It may happen.
It can say not enough memory to continue or whatever ****.
Leave it don't panic. The ROM has partially been installed.
Now cmtry power off. Or click on boot edl mode. Now directly click unlock bootloader .bat file which I provided. And then click on flash twrp. Bat file.
You phone will automatically boot into twrp and now go last tab of last second row, got to globe icon and change language and now go back and wipe everything.
No wiping internal storage if you have kept any ROM there. But I suggest wipe everything.
Insert a micro SD card or USB otg containing any ROM (because you need to boot up at least) and then flash it along with proper gapps.

Wait for 1 or 2 weeks then.
And not sure whether it will accept your request or not. OK .
Welcome
As you know, TWRP still doesn't support FBE, so in-case if you wanna flash another system.img the Wipe data/factory reset in TWRP wouldn't work (at least didn't work for me).
That would force you to get back to stock recovery, which allows a successful factory reset.
Steps are pretty straight forward, if you already have a backup of your stock recovery just do the below steps, if else you could download one from the below link.
Put the device into fastboot mode. There are two ways to do that.
1)By long pressing the power button and volume down button whilst the USB is connected.
2)Just do a adb reboot bootloader command if you could boot into the system.
Then just do
Code:
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery_ramdisk.img
Then disconnect the USB and long press the power and volume up button until you see the "The device is booting now" message.

Thanks, you saved me.
Thanks
Just created a md5sum of your recovery and my backed up recovery. It's exactly the same size but the md5sum is different.
A quick look with a hex editor also shows some big differences. Is that expected?

MD5 hash wouldn't possibly match, because the backup was taken using dd and there might be some config files modified or added when I used the stock recovery once. But, hey the thing would work if you have BKL-L09 device
Thanks. This works!

As you know, TWRP still doesn't support FBE, so in-case if you wanna flash another system.img the Wipe data/factory reset in TWRP wouldn't work (at least didn't work for me).
That would force you to get back to stock recovery, which allows a successful factory reset.

Mate, will this stock recovery work in Indian model(BKL-L09-C675)?

Not sure, as it might check integrity before giving updates. Just download Firmware Finder app and check for updates constantly.

You will receive the updates but you won't be able to install them with TWRP. Simply flash the stock recovery and the updates will self install when they come. You'll have to root again with Magisk after the updates, but that's a simple process.

Hie,
How can I get back from lineage OS to stock using this? I guess I'm on the same boat as a lot of people out there and could really use some help here. I'm on Cosmos OS and can't go back to stock. I tried flashing this recovery.img but can't figure out a way back.
Reboot to bootloader, flash system recovery_ramdisk and ramdisk. Reboot to recovery wipe cache, reboot system enjoy.
Works every time fine for me

Wildfire, can you please help me with the commands? I believe there's an inclusion of ramdisk in the commands now.

Apparently, there isn't any system.img file in the Indian firmware I downloaded. The rest are there but not the system.img.
Someone please help me out
I can't flash system.img as I was told in an earlier reply, it returns me an error that says 'Error: Cannot load System.':crying: I tried using -P and 256M commands to see the space divided and none of these worked either. CAN SOME PLEASE HELP ME OUT WITH THIS?
I cannot find system.img in the Indian firmware either, that is making things tough for me.

You should have made a backup before you started "tinkering" with your device. Lesson learned, hopefully.

What device do you have exactly?
I wanted to make sure everyone read this part first so that you know it's critical to backup because it happened to me figuring things out. If for any reason you are stuck in a boot loop, just reload twrp recovery and restore boot.img that you backed up for an easy quick fix.
Install drivers and adb on your PC.
Open command prompt or search 'cmd'.
Navigate to the directory with adb.exe
Download and store TWRP 2.2.2 (preferred) in the same directory where adb is located. Recommend renaming recovery file to recovery.img
Enable usb debugging on device by going to settings > about > and click on MIUI version repeatedly until developer settings are enabled. Go back and select additional settings to enable usb debugging.
Run the command: adb devices - to verify if able to connect to device (the serial number of your device will populate if so.
Run the command: adb reboot bootloader and phone device should say "Fastboot" in blue font
Run the command: fastboot boot recovery.img
Recovery will show in Chinese, click on the bottom right button to select English
May require to enter your default password you use to unlock your phone normally.
Click backup and be sure to backup system, boot, and recovery most of all so it's easy to recover your device moving forward.
Download and save SuperSU (I have been unsuccessful in getting Magisk to work at this time) onto storage device from PC to MI 8 that should appear with your Internal storage
Click on "Mount" in TWRP and unselect read-only
Click "Install" and flash SuperSU then reboot (my device rebooted one time and fully boot up the 2nd time so you're not alarmed)

Appreciate any feedback, ideas, thoughts, or suggestions where all can collaborate and expand where we help each other further. Look forward to the future development of the MI 8 folks! Please note, I wanted to share the method that seemed to work best for me, but please be aware each and every single MI 8 device is not always exactly the same and the end result may vary and I'm not held accountable or responsible should you choose to follow the directions listed above. However, I wanted to share this information to help avoid any frustration going forward and save you time.
p.s. - If someone could help me figure out how to get twrp recovery to hold and not end up being replaced by mi recovery I would be most grateful as this has been an issue for me (I tried flashing, booting, and installing the img through twrp with no success). Thank you.
Hello thanks for your guide but i think we first need to unlock bl And for the twrp recovery to stick and not to be replaced by xiaomi recovery we need to flash something called "dm-verity " it basically removes that check, which replaces any other recovery by xiaomi recovery
Have a nice day and thanks for your work
I thought so as well, unfortunately I just haven't had much luck with dm verity which led to a soft brick on my device. I'll have to look over the code as it may vary in comparison to other xiaomi devices.

My friend i changed to the Xiaomi eu and everything worked. You dont have to flash the Chinese Version first you can go from Global to Xiaomi.eu. Just dont forget to do FORMAT data and not only Wipe Data.
