Hello! My question is, that i have friend, who flying next mont in China. She can buy me there chipper the Mi8 and bring me to Europe. Should she pay duty if she bring here?
You can buy one device for yourself and don't need to pay duty.
What's everyones experience with the "EU Priority Line" Shipping method? I head on Gearbest they do some kind of repackaging and that way you don't pay tolls / customs. What about geekbuying for example?
You will not pay duty but need to wait 8 to 20 days. If you are from Germany than wait a lil bit. You will get it for about 3-4 weeks locally, for the same price. If you order now, you will wait 2-3 weeks.
What do you mean by locally in Germany? Is there a German Vendor with same prices?

When you look for the Mi Mix 2s, you can now get it for 490€. You can buy a lot of Xiaomi's from local shops, like Notebooksbilliger, Alternate, Amazon and more.
Just take the chinese price and add ~20%.
Mi Mix 2s in China ~425€, in Germany ~500€. So will pay about ~550€ for the Mi8 256GB Version, global and warranty.
To order now from China is for that kind of people, which can't wait. They pay over 100€ for chinese version and will wait weeks

Hello, so I am pretty much looking to buy this phone. Actually, I am not even sure if it's this exact phone. What I am looking at is the snapdragon 650 3GB ram 32GB ROM variant. It seems that this xda is a mix and match. I want to know if this xda is for the phone I am looking to buy. Also where should I order this phone? I've looked at gearbest, and this is what I found (http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones...tm_medium=calinapostALLEN&utm_campaign=review). I am not a huge fan of MIUI, so I am not exactly sure if the phone that I am looking to get has XDA support. Honestly sorry if I am posting in the wrong phone section, I just thought that this phone was really good for the price and it would be a really nice upgrade from what I have now.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Stay away from gearbest, you will probably end up with a vendor rom.
It can be got for good value from aliexpress sellers "Top One" or "Goldway"!
All xiaomi phones come with MIUI, but you can flash customs roms like CyanogenMod.
or better geekbuying....

Top One -- This is where I purchased mine.
Goldway
If your in the EU, you can avoid customs by using EU DHL Express with "Top One" which is faster shipping than "Goldway's" sellers shipping method.

And you should check for your countries LTE bands.
The new "Special Edition" (Kate) Supports a lot more LTE bands, than the older models. it has its own global ROMs.

The special edition "Kate" has no custom rom support yet and you maybe stuck with MIUI.
It does support more 4G bands.
I jst thought abt u before 1 month ago, but at last i got courage and i ordered this mobile, and belive me it was one of the best mobile in so gud features and very cheap price.
Give it a try and miui isn't bad at all im using it for a month n its same as any other android os bt wth better features and tweaks.

I have another question. Will the roms from the snapdragon section work for the Redmi Note 3 Pro Prime? Talking about the Snapdragon 650, 3GB Ram 32GB Rom variant. Is it kenzo?
Hi all,
I'm keen to get the Mate 10 (non Pro) 6GB/128GB now - and I see some of you have it! (I have the Mate 9 Pro)
I'm in the UK - where's a good place to buy it? I see Wondamobile and TradingShenzhen and some of you give good reviews.
A few places like Banggood have it but not available for weeks.
Can this version be rebranded? FunkyHuawei seem to do it?
I have purchased from Wonda before with good service. Took a while to arrive though! Thinking of the Mate 10 at moment!
I've been in touch - FH say that the Chinese version of the 6GB/128GB can be rebranded to Asia. They're saying not to rebrand to Europe as this is a single sim ROM and they don't know how the second sim slot will behave.
So where can I buy it? Somewhere preferably that can avoid import customs and tax to the UK?

According to Wonda Mobile website, they have arrangements with shipping courier to pay all VAT and import fees. The price at checkout is FINAL. No need to risk being charged a VAT up to 20%
This explains why they're about £50 more than anyone else.
Giztop now appear to have stock and cheaper than Wonda(£699) or Shenzhen(£649) at £615
https://www.giztop.com/phones/huawei-mate-10.html
But Wonda will rebrand the phone for you and have excellent ratings.

I have ordered it from Wonda and asked them to rebrand it to L29C636. I know it's more but I hear it's very difficult to rebrand so I will let them do it.
I'm quite curious as to how well this particular model would work on AT&T in the US? I'd love to grab it but $900 is very pricey if I cannot take full advantage of its connectivity.
Guy's I would recommend Wonda Mobile, I have bought a total of 22 phones from them in 12 months and never had a single issue

This is getting exciting! I'm still a little confused about versions. Is the L29C636 the Asian version? Is this version devoid of all the Chinese features, but allows two LTE sims? Whereas the "European" version only allows one sim? Are there other differences. Anyways, please keep folks posted on how it works out. Thanks!

Yes - that's the sum of it.
You may find that you can't do OTA if you're outside Asia. I have a Mate 9 Pro - L29C636 and until very recently, I had to install updates via Funky Huawei. Huawei seem a little odd in their approach to updating - your device needs to be authorized to receive it, but if you were in the wrong region for your phone, it wouldn't update without a sim from that region.
Saying all that, my Mate 9 Pro received, for the very first time, an OTA update this week.

Ok. Hopefully the OTA situation changes with Mate 10. One more question. Do voice commands for default apps work in English using Asian version? For example, I have a Chinese version of the Mate 9. The default phone app allows voice commands to answer phone but you had to say "answer" in Chinese. It could not be made so that you could say "answer" in English. Thanks!

My understanding is that Asian version ties up to Singapore, where the default language in English. I've never encountered anything remotely Chinese on my 'Asian' version. I use Google Now, but not used voice commands per se!
Hey guys!
Massively interested in this phone. My HTC U11 broke just recently. The back and front smashed and my insurance company said they couldn't fix it so sent me the cash. That's when I did some research and heard about the Pocophone F1 which looks amazing! The only thing is it isn't easy not having a phone when I need to work....
Is there any chance a release date for Europe or the UK in particular will be announced soon? Any rumours flying about? I'm really trying hard to hold out for this phone!

Thanks for the info BassBounce. That's good to know. The only issue I have with buying from one of these sites is whether they are putting a mark up on the price of the phone? I wonder if when it is officially released will it be cheaper than on these sites? Also, I can't seem to find the Armoured version of the Poco F1 anywhere to buy in the UK. I'd really like the Armoured version since I seem to be pretty unlucky when it comes to braking phones....

Its a UK seller so yeah ur getting a warranty here, ur covered by the seller for 12 months, and even if u get the phone from like Netherlands u still covered by EU warranty, keep in mind the phone is only like 250 quid.. its not a 1000 quid phone, or trying lookin at alternatives like second hand pixel 2 xl for around 300-350
Apparently the one from Appliances Direct doesn't have a charger with it at all!
This was supposed to be on sale in the UK on the 27th of march.
I search the Xiaomi UK shop every day and still nothing.
I emailed Xiaomi support and all they said was "keep watching the UK site"
The phones are there for one to look at. But that's all. One can't buy a Mi 10\Pro for love or money.
I have noticed that there is an Italian\French\German only version of this phone.
WTF is Xiaomi up to?
Any ideas?
PS. Yes I know I can buy the China version now.

Good point.
I was going to get the Pro version from china.
But sending it back to china has put me off.
But I still can't find a UK release date.
Today is the 5th day of owning and using it. Got it from o2 with a payment in installment for 16€ (750€)a month for the 128gig EEA Version. Amazon is selling the 256gig Version for 899€ here in Germany. I like it very much. Easy to root, wich i dont need for now, because matching boot.img is already available.
Where did xiaomi stated that EEA is only released in 3 european countrys?
i ordered mine from amazon spain
