No MMS in GSB 3.4

Since i cant post in the development thread, i have completely wiped my eris and loaded gsb 3.4 on it and now my mms doesnt work it shows that there is multimedia playing but no pictures or sound...any suggestions?
I have had the same issue with many ROMs. I found that installing the Verizon Messaging App fixes it. I use the Verizon app to send and receive a couple of MMS and then after that I can use the stock app fine.

[REQ] Stock Froyo mms.apk non-rooted

Is there any way to port the stock messaging apk to a non-rooted mt4g (2.2.1)? Ive been looking for this for awhile and cant find a solution. Im trying to add it along side the htc messaging app which is really slow and fc's a lot. So is there a dev that can try to make this successful for me please!
Btw: Ive already tried Handcent, chomp sms, and go sms and none have satisfied me.

[Q] MMS APK Issues / Questions

So I've been playing with my SG2 for a couple weeks now, getting pretty comfortable with it.
I realized when I started playing with Serendipity Rom that I could no longer send MMS messages... could receive them just fine but there was no option to attach.
Found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18727217&postcount=6 where he links to a MMS package (don't know from where) that gives this functionality back.
However, that mms.apk changes pictures into slideshows and I really don't like that.
Anyone know which mms.apk would allow me to attach pictures to my messages, and display received pictures in-line instead of slideshow?
I'm currently running H8SG2, and like it the best out of the 6 or so I've tried. Just this little MMS issue.

Download the CyanogenMod 7.1 MMS.APK which can be found here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4K7PT0AE
Replace the MMS.APK in your phones system/app folder with the one you have just downloaded & reboot phone.
This solution works for most everyone.
Good Luck!
That one has an option to attach files, thanks! Though, surprisingly, it's different than the one that comes with the ATT nightly builds for CM7 (which is what I tried earlier).
Thanks!

[Q] Hybrid ROM Tablet Mode - Unable to view png MMS attachment

Hello,
I've been running the Hybrid RC6 in Tablet mode (213 DPI) for a couple of days now.
Just came across a situation where I am not able to view png files sent as an MMS. Basically another note user did a screen shot and sent it over.
I tried the stock message program, Go SMS PRo, Handscent, but to no avail.
I tried reinstalling the ROM, clearing DALVIK, clearing memory in applications.
APN settings are good. Everything else works great.
I can receive jpg MMS messages though. Just not png.
I've searched several threads, but have not been able to come up with a solution. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

[REQ] CM MMS.apk

I am looking for an AOSP MMS.apk that works with MMS. For example, on the Note II and the GS3 Beanstown had a rom that allowed the use of an AOSP MMS.apk that had working MMS. Now that was on 4.1.2, so I am not sure if the process is any different, but I know it is possible.
I'm actually interested in knowing this as well, Touchwiz MMS isn't actually as bad this time around, but nothing beats the stock MMS.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Interested as well. I tried pulling MMS stock app from a nightly build of CM10. I installed it and changed permissions using root explorer. MMS didn't work, and freezing the Samsung stock app disable both SMS and MMS.
Sent from Verizon Samsung Galaxy s4
I pulled an mms.apk from some inverted 4.2.2 gapps and renaming the Samsung mms with. Bak and setting permissions to rw-r-r on the new mms it works including mms. Only catch is when sending mms you first select view then back to message and it works perfect
