Dear friends and co-devs,
I've decided to re-start cooking, and i've squeezed some time out per day to do it.
Since i've quitted i've missed xda very very much, missed all the new innovations by htc and offcourse the innovations of the devs around here.
The idea that I become a cook again was itching... And now the time is there to return.
The only ****ed up part about this all, is that i have an HTC Diamond with a broken usb connector. So i cant flash or Do anything with it(except charging with an external battery charger. Ive sold all of my other devices that i had, so i'm stuck without any cookable device.
The roms you can expect from me are fast, nice looking(since i'm a graphics artist) and always top of the line in the area of newest features.
I think i can mean a great good to the xda people.
I'm Polling here with my donation button who is in favour of a surface rom for the diamond 2.
If i raise enough mony for a second hand diamond 2 i'll pay the restmoney back to the donators.
If theres noone waiting for me to return and i dont get enaugh donations to buy meself a device, ill refund the money immediately to all the donators.
Remember, this is an freely operation, don't fee obligated by your donation, its pure free-will.

Okay, recently there has been a great demand for Android on HTC Touch2/Mega. This thread is being started from the discussion that took place on this thread
Few of the members are working very hard day and night to port android on touch2 device but lack of knowledge about kernel developing or building is causing failure. We urge to the developers with knowledge of porting android to other htc devices to help us making our dream come true of using android on our device.

From the specs it looks like the touch 2 should run android quite well. I don't have time to help you much but it shouldn't be hard to get the 7x00a kernel running. You really need a kernel developer though.

This is the post which gave the idea to create an offer for a developer.
In this thread:
Our aim is to collect all the donation and meet the price of a Touch2 device
Our offer to the developer is a new Touch2 device so that he can test and port android into it or if he wants the donation in cash instead of a device would be fine too. =)
Rules to donate: those who are interested or want to help us to see this dream come true must enroll their name in this thread with the amount of donation first. Then after a developer agrees to accept this offer he must be donated directly from each of the user who'll enroll their names in this thread.
*rules or regulations can change on the other users interest.

if you want to donate then first enroll your name here with the amount. we are currently looking for a developer who will agree to take up this project and this offer will be for him. which means you will have to donate the developer directly.

If only we had more money now : I got my brand new HTC MEGA for 125 € in a phone shop because they thought there was no way to change the language of the the phone. There were some left but not much...

In the original post, $300 are mentioned for the project. Is that the amount for the phone only or does it include the $100-200 for the developer ?
we must collect the money for the device first($300)
if the job is done as a reward we can collect another $100 to offer the developer..
The device has to be new ? Even so, like htcshane19 said in the other topic, I'm pretty sure we can find a better price than $300.
I can call the store where I bought it new for €150 to see if they have some left, but I doubt it...
in Bulgaria new HTC Mega costs $220 ...
Guys...I'm sorry but you can count my contribution out : I had the opportunity to buy an HTC Magic at the price of my HTC Mega. Therefore, I'm selling it to pay the Magic.
If I didn't need the money that much I would have offer you mine for 170 €, it's practically new (5 days old) but...

Same here I'm willing to donate 25$ to the pool. The more we will donate the faster we will see the result. It is better to donate 25$ instead buing new phone with android installed.

I purchased the TG01 in February and I have lost my temper with it because it's so horrible, but I know there are a few developers out there looking for a real device to work with, so I thought I'd sell it.
I'm looking for anything over £65, It's in good working order with a few scratches on the screen and it's generally in OK condition, but the speaker is quite quiet.
If you're interested please reply to this thread.

The thread for the donations has been closed down by mods.. I'll pm the mod on how we can do this without collecting money on here. The only other way I can think of is if enough people pledge to put money towards the phone, then we donate to you directly.

It appears that the word donations is contentious.
So if we want to do this, the best thing is everyone PLEDGES what they are willing to put towards a device on this thread, once we have enough money and a developer who wants to help, we can pay tjcooper17 someway and get him to send the device to the developer.
Sorry about the mess, I guess these things are there to protect xda users from fraudulent transactions so its probably wise not to ignore them.
On that note, I will say if anyone has any suggestions how this can be done without hickups, please feel free to put your ideas forwards.
Lastly, Endrix is the lead developer here, I have been asked why I am not accepting the device myself, it is simply because I do not possess the reverse engineering skills to take this project forward and neither do I have the time to learn to do so.
I am quite happy to help out where I can and look forward to purchasing a tg01 if android is successfully ported to it which I look forward to being a part of.
Ok guys, I've seen some amazing things happen with a community similar to this one helping guys get new motors that are built for their cars when **** hits the fan which costs thousands upon thousands of dollars. I feel that this community here can do something very similar, but not that extensive, in helping one of the devs from here.

The guy is seriously busting his ass in every way possible to still take care of us rezounders and I feel we need to return the favor and bust our ass' to take care of him.

Today is a the dawn of a new day. A day where we begin the road to unlocking the bootloader to something that many believe is unlockable. Me and a few other users are starting a bounty to bring the incentive to life for all active developers. You can find my previous thread here. Now, when I say progress has been made, I mean that we have gotten into fastboot, we have donation incentives and we already have root so our tools are there we just have to find the exploit. Every day people are finding new exploits furthering our cause into reaching our goal. Now to the developers who want to pursue this, I've very much so tried to get active commands in fastboot but basically its just a dead fastboot for right now. The board on this phone and technologies behind it are so similar to its predecessors that somethings got to give.
