Are there any specific instructions? Which model of the note edge is this mod for? Will it work on everything? I'm on N915W8 and I woukd like to try this out

It's working on F/FY/G models. I don't have any idea about others models. Try it and see what will happen.

I got it running smoothly, just one bug, or annoyance, there is a constant/reappearing SD card notification i could not get rid off. I could swipe it away, only to have it return. Minor issue, but i had to remove due to this.
Otherwise flawless.

Does not seem to work on the latest version of firmware (N915FXXS1DQA1/N915FOXE1DPD7/N915FXXU1DPC7/N915FXXS1DQA1)
Flashed TWRP via Odin, then flashed SuperSU zip via TWRP, then flashed this rom... and nothing. UI stays the same. Any advice?

But i guess it is not available for Redmi Note 5. Niether i am able to unlock the bootloader. Getting 86006 error.

Miglobe is available for Redmi 5 (called so in this thread) device name Rosy I don´t know if its the same but aspect and wallpaper that shows device is the same http://mi-globe.com/rom-builder-features/?codename=rosy&img=redmi5.png&realname=RedMi+5 also you can add or not some mods in your zip rom to flash it.
Really I don´t tell exactly what is the reason on this error many mentioned in almost all the forum, cause I unlock my last mi max in less than a half hour and now my Redmi 5 Plus came with bootloader unlocked from the seller, so strange method cause I´m sure that they didn´t get any code unlock but anyway.
I Read in some post that is necessary to solved this issue first install china rom with EDL method using testpoint, also anyone mentioned the normal method to enter in EDL that some devices naturally has with combination keys (a trickey method that needs many many patience) and also the other previous option to get EDL before to open back cover with a "flash deep cable" this worked for me in the past trying to put device in this special mode.
Adding to all mentioned I know that some users that flashed TWRP and custom roms with locked bootloader, read carefully this thread and if you want to try just replace all the files mentioned that have to be specific for your device http://xiaomitips.com/guide/how-to-flash-miui-fastboot-rom-on-mi-max-with-locked-bootloader/

There is a main idea about how to work locked bootloader and why is not possible to flash nothing unofficial on it. It is mainly caused for stock recovery, once you get change it for a custom one you can flash anything you want prevent you to encrypt your data after reboot and prevent you that stock recovery don´t overwrite again to custom recovery..

Yeah bud, you need treble compatible magisk inorder to root your phone.
