How to change drop down navigation menu / customize navigation menu like miui or emui ?
Open drop down panel. Pull down to see more quick settings. 2 buttons will appear on the top right of the screen. The one on the right is for Settings app. The one on the left should open the customisation option you are looking for.

Hello friend, Try Microsoft launcher from playstore for many customisations.

Is anybody else's go launcher cut off a little bit at the bottom when you pull up the settings menu to get to preferences, etc?
Mine was, until I turned off the notification bar. Since then, I've been able to see all of the menu.

How did you do that?
GoLauncher preferences/screen settings/ uncheck Status Bar.
how do you get the status bar back after that? I can't find a way to make it show up again

Download button savior from the android market. Use the menu key on button savior. From here you will be able to pull up the settings for go launcher when you are at your homescreen. This will give you the option of putting the status bar back down at the bottom.

If you do that, is there a widget or something (I searched Market but couldn't find anything) that can be used to show you notifications?

go to preference menu, the operations menu, go to glide down settings, then select show/ hide notifications. After that you can glide your finger down to show/hide your notitications bar.

Sweet, thanks!
Loving the NT more and more.
got it, thanks!
I just update ADW and in doing so it changed my setup including not a big deal, however after looking through all of the menu settings I cannot figure out how to hide the main dock bar. I did have my setting backed up but when I restore then the system revert back to the new ADW defaults. Anyone figure this out?
I just figured this out a few minutes ago.
adw settings -> general behavior -> gestures -> swipe down actions -> open/close dockbar
go back to main screen, swipe down on your screen to close the dock bar
go back to settings and change your gesture back to whatever you were using.

Nice find, I just found a way myself by long pressing on the screen and choosing launcher actions than open/close dock bar.
Now to find out how to place an icon outside of the blue square in other words place an icon anywhere on the screen as before.

Found a problem with both methods, if you rotate your tab the bar comes back up and you have to swipe it again.
If you don't want the dock disable it in the settings

That setting is missing with the recent update also the secondary dock is now gone in this update.
Did the update remove full screen use? Unless I am not understanding the settings in the update. I have been messing with it for an hour. Last update was amazing, this one, seems to have lost some functions.

Apparently the recent update consoldate the old "Dock Bar" and the "Main Dock". They seem to have removed the setting for show/hide the dock from the settings menu, but like others discovered you can still toggle it via the old "show/hide dock bar" command.

The developer has posted another update the fixes the hiding of the bar not sticking also you can use the whole screen again to place icons. I like ADW again.
Easiest thing I've found is to use the "Open/close Dockbar" shortcut.
Longpress desktop ~ Launcher Actions ~ Open/close Dockbar will put the shortcut on the desktop. Then you can open or close it with one touch instead of swiping and/or setting/resetting your ADW Settings.
Hi All,
It took me a while to figure out, but you can add an option to hide the grey nav bar on an unrooted HAM2 and make it reappear by swiping up. It is somewhat confusing because the nav bar setting is not available if you have your Emotion UI set to the Standard home screen style. You have to apply the "Simple" home screen style first, which is the one with the giant colored buttons for grandma to use.
After you apply the Simple home screen style, go back into settings, select More Settings and then scroll down to the bottom of the list. You will see a new option called "Navigation Bar" has been added. If you press this option you will see a toggle switch for "Hide Navigation Bar" along with some instructions on how to use it. Once you have toggled the switch to hide the navigation bar, you can revert back to the Standard Emotion UI and the setting will be retained.
After I hid the navigation bar I found some apps I had difficulty installing would start to work OK. For example, if you try to install NBA Jam without hiding the navigation bar, it will get hung on the initial splash screen. After I hid the navigation bar, NBA Jam would check for updates and then proceed to the game without any problem.
Hope this helps anyone having difficulty with the nav bar!

This is the Kitkat feature I missed the most. My main motivation to buy a HAM2 was to read novels in it, instead of carrying a smaller phone and a tablet. For that purpose, the screen is stunning, but that dammed gray navbar was always in the way. Not anymore!
Thank you so much for this tip. You made my day!
Wow, nice find!
Now I have a bit more room on this already huge display. Thanks! :good:

This option should be there regardless of what launcher u are using.. It's a standard feature in the settings.. No? I have a China version on 4.4.2.. No sure if there's a difference though..

Only reason I wanted to rood was immersive mode, this is close enough.
I love this phone even more now - coming from a 32gb One plus one.
Damn! You had a oneplus one? I got an invite but I'm gonna have to pass on that

WOW!!! Thanks so much for sharing this great find. It works GREAT!!!!!
Thanks given. This was the only reason I was rooted. Along with greenify. Now with the ability to hide the navbar and the ability to disable background apps included in the stock ROM, I really don't have any need for root. I still might use links2sd to install more apps if I hit that 6gb limit. This phone is solid!
Making the navigation bar hidden is called "immersive mode". There are apps on the Play Store that supposedly let you toggle immersive mode. Please post your results if you try one.
I'm guessing those apps will let you switch to immersive mode independent of standard or simple mode.
I've found the option for the notification bar, but I can't seen to find a way to hide the navigation bar. The option for color for ht nav bar doesn't appear to do anything either.
Am I just totally missing how you hide the nav bar? I use pie so I really don't need the softkeys hanging out at the bottom.

Hi,
For now the navigation bar can't be hidden, but its color can be changed in the Advanced Settings menu. What device do you have? As changing it in the Advanced Settings menu should do the trick.

Hi,
It's titled Notification Bar (in the advanced settings), which lets you change both the color of the navigation bar and notification bar. Sorry for the mix up.

Hi everyone!
I have a quick question from my daughter (she's the one using this phone):
What app do you use to hide navigation buttons? She likes capacitive buttons under the screen but this phone doesn't have them
Thanks!

As no hardware Button, we need soft navbar. But you can:
-Hide navbar depending on the app you are on.
It is called expanded desktop.
For example on launcher hide statusbar and navbar
-Use pie control to only show nav Button when needed.
It is called pie settings.
Here exemple crdroid, but dotos shall have it too.
Well, my phone, has already an option to add small 'v' symbol on the left side of navigation panel. Pressing it hides it. To show it again just swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
It is in Options > Smart Assistance > Navigation bar > Navigation bar (switch).
Thanks for such perfect reply!!!
