If you are looking for a light and thin case, go away, this is certainly not for you. This case is heavy and thick. Heavy as same weight as the phone. Thick as almost three times the thickness of the phone. If you are vegan, go away, this is leather. If you are still reading this, I can tell you it really protects the phone, allows you to "carelessly" put it in a bag, is very elegant, and will last longer than the device itself.
Before talking about price, let me explain my point of view on "expensive vs lot of money": let's say someone sells you a Ferrari, in perfect condition, $1000. This is cheap, but this is also a lot of money. Now, let's say someone sells you a used pen for $5. This is very expensive, but this is not that a lot of money.
That said, the case costs a lot of money, but IMHO, it is not that expensive. Price starts at about $50 ($49.04), then it depends on options and leather you chose, where it can almost rise up to 4 times that price. Which is (or "could be percieved as") ridiculous compared to the price of the phone.
I would not have taken anything than the standard black finish, which is very nice (remember I had other cases for other devices), if it had not been a gift. I have the "tentation tropézienne" "blu marino" model.
Packaging:
It comes in a pouch, and the pouch inside a rigid box. Useless, but very nice. It took three weeks after ordering to get it, but my previous purchases were fast. This is due to custom manufacturing. All non-standard leathers are not in stock and made on-demand. You are warned before ordering, with a pretty correct estimation of delivery date. In my case it was spot-on, but for someone I know, it was two weeks off (non-standard leather also).
Feel and fit:
Once iserted in the case, the phone fits tight and won't escape. You will have to remove the phone from the case if you need access to SD/SIM tray. I had to, and it is not that easy to remove the phone. Like with my previous devices, after a few times it becomes easier, but will not become loose.
Design:
Looks like an agenda or some kind of small notebook. Being a "wallet flap" as they call it, it opens like a book. For the Xperia Pro and the M8 I had the vertical flap, I wanted a change. What I can say is it seems more practical for taking pictures, at least for me. The flap has pockets that can hold small papers or credit cards.
As I told in previous section, SD/SIM tray can only be reached by removing the phone from the case. All other buttons and connectors are accessible.
Even if the phoneis almost completely covered, you can still see the copper finish.
Cuts for camera and flash are ok. For the fingerprint sensor, the case being very thick, you have to get used to it, especially, if like me, you had the phone for several weeks with the standard case. It remains completely functional and reachable without much effort.
Conclusion TL;DR:
It might not be a practical choice for everyone, being thick and relatively heavy. But if you like good-looking stuff, a bit "vintage", very protective cases, and if its price is not a no-go, this might be your choice as well. At least it is mine.

There's a few threads around here already that mention these cases.
A number of us have already ordered from them as well.
G1 Case used for the Touch HD
I was searching high and low for a case at the mall. Nothing would fit. That's what I get for getting this phonne and living in America. No regrets, of course. I love the phone. But, I did find that the HTC G1 slip case fits the TOuch HD perfectly! It's not bulky, and it slips into my pocket without a problem. The padding of the case seems to protect it quite well, and it is easy to get it in and out. The nice lady at T-Mobile gave it to me for free.
Yep, got one of these
I received mine on Saturday morning. The quality of workmanship is superb. It fits perfectly (as you'd expect) and my HD will slide slowly in or out under its own weight (after one day of being a little tight). The leathers look to be of high quality and the finish is excellent, including the sealing around the edges of the leather and the evenness/tidiness of the stitching, etc. Mine is brown Nappa leather outside and brown suede microfibre inside, with a low-profile belt loop on the back.
It's also very sturdy and I'm sure that my HD would survive a fall onto a hard floor if inside it.
It took 12 days from ordering to delivery (from Hong Kong to Surrey).
I know it needs to show itself to be sturdy over a few weeks, but so far, so good...
I usually am skeptical of buying from Chinese sellers on Ebay, but I might give this one a go. Anyone else tried them?
i bought this OEM case and it fits my hd fine

Krussel case works for me
I got my Krussel case from play.com for just £14.99 inc. delivery.

The folding bit on most cases protects the screen but gets in the way when making calls or in general use. On the Krussel it's easily removable and I rarely use it, but it's there when needed.
@bigjee: a friend of mine and me bought this case a few weeks ago and i can say, theres no better one! the quality is excellent and its shipped really fast. the advantage is its choosable design! buy it, you won't be disappointed!
I thought I'd share some pix of a simple and cheap case for the GTab based on the foam from your original packaging.
This uses a simple "padfolio" from the office store. This is a Buxton Classic Writing Pad, but there were many versions at my local store that would have worked. The only real qualifications are that the spine be wide enough to accommodate the 1/2 inch depth of the tablet and thin enough to fold back over to form a stand.
I carefully removed the foam outline from the original packaging, and glued it to the folio using a paste glue that I hope is sufficiently strong. Be careful, though, as I expect many super-glue products would melt the foam rather than bond with it.
As you can see, the foam outline fits nicely into the space designed for a writing pad (11.5 inches). It props up nicely in my lap or on the table (and with these lousy viewing angles, adaptability is nice).
I don't like the idea of tape or velcro on something like this, so I don't have it secured within the foam. It does fit relatively snugly, though, and as long as you hold it in the closed position, the tablet cannot fall out.
Until we find some better choices made for our rare (but amazing) device, this might do the trick for some of you.
Noticed that Sears still shows the Viewsonic case as a holiday Special for $5.99. Web site accepted order and shipped. Not a super great case, but offers some protection and has a handle for carrying.

You mean the case logic one ? how tightly does it fit ? looks more like a square sized.

Great idea, let us know how it holds up over time.
Looks like your tablet sits in there loose, but nice try
So time for a review of the Speck StyleFolio case.
Before I start though, this is replacing my Samsung Book case. So what's wrong with the book case? Well, the following:
No cover retention means it slips around and can open at any time
Limited viewing angles and poor stability in landscape standing up
No cut out for the camera on the front so you have to hold the cover up to take a phone, which is ridiculously awkward.
Limited protection on the sides
So, I hunted amazon for ages looking for a replacement. I knew what I wanted and there are a few cases in the same style as the Speck. I have previously had a Speck with my iPad Mini (now sold, cause it was rubbish ). I was impressed with the case then so when I stumbled upon their Note 12.2 version I jumped in and ordered one from Amazon. Link below:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Speck-Style...TF8&qid=1423682176&sr=8-1&keywords=Speck+12.2
Now lets face it, this isn't a cheap case. It's £36 in the UK, bit of a rip off considering it's only $35 through Amazon.com LOL. Still there we go, welcome to rip off Britain.
First impressions, this is a SOLID folio case. The cover and back are thicker than the book cover and also the plastic insert where you clip the tablet in, extends around the WHOLE tablet (apart from cutouts for speakers, pen etc.. And this thing is a tight fit, the tablet really clicks into it and the plastic is nice and thick. The only cut out missing which is a little disappointing is the SD card slot. But I guess how many times do you swap cards?
Lets talk about viewing angles. This case is rock solid both standing up in landscape and laid down at an angle. THe groves on the inside of the cover stop the tablet slipping and they do a decent job with 4 positions available. Laying down the tablet has to be turned upside down but once in position, it will NOT move. The book cover was only held by a magnet and could easily slip.
Because the cover opens from the bottom, if you want to take a picture, the cover hangs down allowing both hands on the tablet, excellent! .
Finally the clip. There is a plastic clip for the cover which is very solid and locks closed very well. The elastic allows a little movement over the cover and clip.
This case in my opinion is THE best folio case available for the Note 12.2. Because it locks shut, there are no magnets to cause problems, or metal to fall off (as happens to some other cases). The complete all round side protection is perfect and the material/thickness just right.
One last thing. I was torn between a case and a keyboard case. Problem is, I won't use the keyboard that much so having it attached all the time seemed silly. The book cover however wasn't good enough standing up with a BT keyboard, so this case with a external BT keyboard will be perfect I think.
And finally some photos

Yup I love mine as well, replaced a Belkin book cover case with it recently and will never pick up a "smart" cover/folio again. I just had too much issues with pen sensitivity with my prior case.
Thanks for the review!
For reference here's another one that was posted a while back:

Great review of a great case. I've had the Speck case for 6 months, and it continues to provide solid and secure overall protection. I've been very pleased with the quality materials and design which have held up very well. The Speck case is well worth the price to protect this high-end tablet.
=GO=
I've been a minimalist case user for years, I think going back to the samsung galaxy s3. I am very OCD with my phones and treat it like a baby. So I always go with a minimalist case because I don't like the bulk.
on the s7 i actually tried a dbrand (carbon) because the phone looks so good I didn't want to hide it, unfortunately this didn't help make the phone any less slippery. It may have actually made it more slippery because the glass actually gives friction and the aluminum sides aren't covered with the skin so VERY slippery.
So anyway i went with the spigen Thin Fit case. This is similar to the cases I usually have used over the years.
Yesterday as I was sitting down, the phone took a slight (1 foot) slip/fall and sort of skidded. I honestly don't remember if it landed on the face or back but after i picked it up i immediately saw the screen was ok, and the dbrand skin is still on the back (so honestly don't know if it's cracked). but it did take a pretty decent nick out of the aluminum on the lower right corner. If you look close you can see the case was actually damaged a little too.
I think the case is great for what it is. Honestly if it would have covered the entire bottom (which would make it more comfortable in the hand) then it would have protected the phone in this slight drop.
Just wanted to let you guys know, that we can all drop phones, and you may want to make sure all edges are covered because TBH i can't believe the phone was damaged this bad from such a slight fall.
I am ordering something that covers all edges to prevent further incidents like this (and to cover this so I can stop looking at it every 5 mins )

try the neo hybrid. I love it. spigen stuff is great. they were on sale last week so I got a tough armor and neo and love the neo. love the rugged armor TPU and I've got a slim fit that's great too. I've pretty much got all their stuff lol

Looks like it just happened to land perfectly on that corner. I too wish they had gone all the way around with the case but I know what I'm getting myself into by running this case.
I switched away from Spigen's Thin Fit awhile back when I found out that Ringke makes a very similar case (might even be thinner), but covers all the sides. It's slightly harder to take the case off, but not impossible. You might want to check it out. Ringke Snug-Fit on Amazon.
hmm i have this case and thinking about getting something that covers the whole frame now...ill most likely get the cali case once they ship to canada...
Go with tech21, they are thin and provide excellent drop protection, I've dropped mine on concrete several times and nothing has happened.
Hello everyone,
I'm here again for a case review. This time, my curiosity got tickled by Carved and their Traveler line of phone cases.
As I wrote in my previous review (about the MOUS - Limitless 5.0), I've already got opportunity to experience their Live Edge line, which is more expensive and has some cons that I wanted to avoid with my new S23 Ultra.
What I like with Carved is that they pay attention to details, and it begins by the packaging, with their textured cardboard boxes magnet-closed. Looks great, feels great, and once you open it, you'll find your case in a little hand-made fabric bag. And like their One of 1 mantra, these bags are as unique as their cases (I didn't thought about taking pictures of that, but I'll add them later).
But back onto the main topic: the case!

Can't say how much I'm delighted by the colours. Pictures aren't doing justice to it, and natural light is bringing the best out of the pigments used in their resin work.
The wood panel itself is pretty thin (under 3mm) but feels sturdy enough and you can choose the option to embed a MagSafe upgrade to it (additional cost of 6$ on your order).
The rubber case itself feels good, is pretty thin, but the textured sides provide some grip to it (more classic than MOUS' approach on the topic, but still effective).
The inside of the case is covered by a thin layer of felt to protect your phone's back panel from scratch. Unfortunately, the lips of the rubber shouldn't be preventing your phone to be heavily damaged if it falls flat, as they are having a low profile when you compare it to the competitors in the case market. On the other hand, Carved does warn about the point that their cases are more on the "work of art" side than the protective one. Soooo... If you're a little clumsy and are looking for something safer to use, maybe you should look for an other brand.
As you can see on the last picture, uploaded above this sentence, that Carved doesn't really went for the hollow design I like so much on the S-Pen hole, but it's not a mood-killer, just a little less comfortable to use (IMO).
With a little more than a month of use with this case, I can tell that is you're a careful person looking for some originality in term of design, Carved is providing what you're craving for. With a generous designs choices to pick from, regular new ones hitting their online shelves and the fact that every case sold is a unique piece (you will never end in the situation where your best friend is wearing the same outfit as you and have to battle to death to know who's the right to keep it for the day, but case-wise), the Elkhart shop provides solid options for your S23 Ultra.
I avoided the topic until the end, but let's look at it now: base price for this case type is 59$, the MagSafe upgrade is 5.99$, the shipping to Europe is 16.45$ (48.25$ if you take express worldwide shipping with UPS), and if you add to that the customs (only for standard shipping)... Well, you end up with a case flirting with the 90$ (Live Edge ones will end up around 200$, for information). If you're up to spend that money on a single case, or not, is definitely a big point to consider here.
On my side, I can tell that I'm happy with this case so far and would recommend it to anyone ticking the boxes mentioned above.
PROS
Unique
Great attention to details
Beautiful craftsmanship
Shipping is fast
CONS
Can become quite pricey (depending on your location)
Not as secure as most of the competitors on the case market
Unique also means that you might miss some designs for which you could have gotten a "love at first sight" situation

How effective is the MagSafe ring in your case? I own one of their Traveler cases for an iPhone 14 Pro Max and the MagSafe is very effective. But I've heard mixed reports of MagSafe with the S-series Traveler cases.
