Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a android wear app that lets you control your phone screen? I'm specifically looking at controlling the touch screen of my phone.
Basically, I like to set up my phone at a distance when watching or reading my ebook. What I would like to do is be able to either see my phone screen ob my watch or tap my watch and be able to flip my book page or rewind a video/play/pause etc
Anyone know of an app?

You don't need to turn an image file to apk to make such app. You need to make an app to read, open, and show you image file(s). The gallery is already there. You can find bunch of the like apps in the market too, e.g. QuickPic.

Perhaps i explained myself badly, i''m sorry.
I don't want to open a random picture with gallery. I want an app to open the SAME picture every time i open the app.
Imagine that you have a picture of your grandmother on your wallet, i want more or less the same thing on my phone
I just need press the app icon and voilá, my picture is shown in fullscreen. that's what i was looking for.
Yesterday i was watching some videos on youtube and i now have more or less the idea what i need to do to make such an app.
The problem is that i'm not very savvy with with Java and Android SDK and it will take me some time create the app that i need.

Are you using stock? Do you have 3DGallery?
Well... If so... I barely remember a widget that allows you to place an image wherever you want in your screan... Like having a photo frame on your desktop... I don't know if you know what I mean... But right now I can't remember the name of the widget... But id does pretty much what you are looking for

Im using ICS by jusada.
I don't have 3D Gallery, I didnt even know this app existed. The app seems cool and i like the concept of 3D Gallery but that's not what i was really looking for.
I'll try to search for that widget you are talking about.

Well, I just thought the widget had something to do with the Gallery app but seems it doesn't

I've found an app "Android Photo Widget" that does more or less what i need.
I've added a new screen to SGA and with this widget i picked a photo for that screen.
The only problem is that the picture is always showing and i just wanted the picture to be shown after i press the app button. It does what i wanted, just not by the way i wanted but it's ok.
I'll keep looking for a better app anyway but this one does the job.
So I am trying to configure notifications on my GearS and iPhone 6 combination. I have the process from :

and the iPhone side is all setup, but I have to find a way to get "Newtifry" on the GearS. Anyone have any suggestions? Like a side load or something like that?

Dude, i was one of the active "dreamers" of iPhone and Gear 1 combination back in the day.
Search for youtube video "How to fully use the Galaxy Gear with an iPhone" which i had made.
I have achieved similar functionality between Gear S and iPhone, only this time you also need another device.
I have made a new video and (hopefully) within the day both it and the instructions on how to do it will be posted in XDA forum and on YouTube.
However, what you are saying would be great. If only a service like newtifry was available for Tizen OS platform.

I actually found a program thats called "KLONE" but it only sends your notifications from android to iphone. Other way around would be perfect - but yea I did the same thing you did. My old note4 is on standby forwarding me notices via wi-fi

Hi and hello to all, sorry if I posted in wrong section but I guess its the right one.
I am rather clever person so I should cope, but need guide and help to do so.
I have daughter and wish to create colouring app without buttons like share or any adverts (basically anything that will make her get out of application and start to call foreign country and make my bill horrendously big etc.)
so for start I downloaded all android SDK and Studio.
My idea is to have menu with pictures (ill make those out of disney cartoons in photoshop)
once clicked it will enlarge and show colour pallet (preferably 256 colours, tiny boxes) that she could touch at top of screen,
and enlarged picture at bottom where she could fill empty spaces with desired colours.
device im intend to use is Samsung s4 or s5 my wifes or note 4 which im willing to get soon
I know I might ask for quite a lot but honestly its beyond me. I have tried to google some libs but after 6h I failed miserably.

Perhaps you wish for a child's mode or guest mode in which only certain apps can be accessed? Because what you are suggesting is making an app that you can enter, but can't leave. How will you get out of it when you need to?
Try an applocker that can be disabled/reenabled via a password... This way you can only make a coloring app (and other games) available to her unless she has a special password. Apps like this should block the phone, gallery, messaging, or anything else you wish for her not to access.
Try something like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pluggdd.SmartAppLocker , but if you don't like this then there are a plethora of other alternatives.
Now you should be able to allow her to access several apps and games that you deem to be appropriate for her, then, when you need your phone you can exit it and use it however you please.

yes its rooted and i know i can remove adverts, but whole point is to create colouring app where i can change pictures etc.
ps. im not willing to root all phones tablets in home

Great app, but I can't change the background. It's supposed that you watch a promotional video (ad) and the application let you choose an image, but the application says than I have a problem with my connection and don't show the video, so, I can't change the background. I suppose the full app works. (I don't know).

Thx for the great app. It's perfectly pairing my GFit with Xperia XA Ultra . But can you please make this app working with gear fit apps like calculator, new watch faces etc. ? Because actually it's only missing thing in this app :")
Please improve whatsapp notification, there are many little problems
Good App but WhatsApp notifications do not work very well. If that would work, I would also buy the full version.
This is disappointing, my previous phones LG g3 and xiaomi mi note 2 could easily screen mirror with built in functionality from the main settings menu, I'm not finding similar functionality on this phone menu...
I Googled and saw Samsung smart view app only to discover that this ****ing app only works with Samsung devices, goddamn.
So what do I do?

Not sure what you mean, both are already could be connected, it just the TV waited for the 'final say' from the phone, and in other Droid phones I could do just that by activating the screen mirroring feature from the phones.
I don't find anything similar on this s9+

Found out how, apparently I need to use the Samsung gallery app and select a picture so that smart view option appeared on the notification panel
That's dumb and complicatedly stupid way of screen mirroring.
Goddamn, if anyone found a better solution, please tell.
