I own a Verizon Galaxy s9+ and A galaxy tab s3. For the past few months I've noticed strange things going on with my phone and for at least 6 months on my tablet. Even factory resets don't solve this. I feel like I've googled everything to no avail. I started to think I was just crazy, until the other day I went to add a new account to my phone, an email account, and noticed something strange under accounts. I don't see any abnormal accounts under "accounts" in settings, but when I click "add account" there is a strange icon with no title next to it, like its hidden, and it has the green circle next to it like its been added, but I can't click or see what it is. Please help! I used to be super nosey on my bfs phone and now wondering if he's had something on mine for a while as well?? Thank you!!

Hi , I'm not sure but I think maybe some spy app is installed on your phone : / . Check if your phone has Official firmware .
To do that , follow this video instruction :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DT0wTpJDw50
First time I see something like that ...

A factory reset will not help with many spying apps. Best you can do is send the device back unless have an unlocked bootloader. Then you can format all partitions and add apps back one by one.
To be honest. If something is like this is needed. Then move on. The relationship was already dead.

I've been trying to search but haven't found anything on this issue. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a number of apps that appeared on my All Apps list without me ever even installing them.

The two by martetrut and the casino one. I tried searching my phone for any trace of these apps and found nothing other than their appearance on this list.
Today, I looked at my list and now more mystery apps have appeared, with another app by that martetrut dev.
I downloaded lookout and Norton and ran several scans and they didn't pick up anything.... I'm a little concerned.
Anyone have any idea on what's causing this or had a similar experience? I'd appreciate any help/input.
If it matters, I'm completely stock.

Someone may be using your account to download apps. go to play.google.com on your computer, click on the gear in the upper right corner and go to My Orders & Settings.
The Orders tab can show you when the apps in question were downloaded.
Click on the Settings Tab and look under devices to make sure only your phone is listed.
Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to delete or unauthorize a device, but at least you'll know if someone else is causing those apps to show up or not.
Best thing to do is change your account password.

Yes, this was my first thought. I would guess someone is using your account to download apps on another device.
as other users said, it's probably someone else using your account.
maybe you gave/sold your old android phone to someone without wiping data.
btw, changing your password can be a good solution
So just tonight I keep having a screen appear on it's own called enhanced features. I keep hitting decline, but it keeps coming up while in the middle of doing other things. Anybody else have this issue, or how to make it stop?

can't really help you with this because I never see or hear about this features but would be helpful if you could provide your phone model and your cellphone provider.
T-mobile S6 Edge. This thing keeps opening even though I keep hitting decline! It is getting annoying!
Tmoblie variant here. I don't see this in settings or popup. Maybe it's an app you downloaded?
yeah, i'm using U.S. T Mobile SG6E right now too but never come cross of this popup.
I'm having the same problem as of an hour ago...5:30pm Eastern US time. Galaxy s6 32 gb on T-Mobile...nothing new downloaded.
Me too, just started about 11:30pm PST. Realllllly annoying.
Super annoying. Glad I am not the only one. I tried removing my Samsung account and that didn't help. If anyone figures out how to stop this please respond!
Happening here too. T-Mobile S6 Edge
use titanium to disable it then.
This is affecting non-rooted stock devices.
There isn't a clear thing to disable, anyway.
Edit: Mines gone away on its own
Edit 2: Nope. Still here.
Yeah, I'm not rooted so can't use titanium...
Not to mention, I don't know what is causing it to pop up...I wouldn't know what to disable.
Not rooted here and haven't seen it, I'm on international variant unbranded

Non-rooted t-mobile variant here. It just started for me last night and It is aggravating as hell.
I've declined it every time and I can't figure out how to permanently stop the madness.
Is there any one who has successfully disabled this after it started?
Still happening here...horribly annoying. Someone help!
Have you guys just tried to hit accept? Instead of decline.
And what happens when you hit the back arrow on the top left? Does it just take you back to the settings homepage?
I don't want to accept. Yeah, I've tried that back arrow and nothing happens expect it exits the screen.
Here is the link that goes to terms and conditions:

I am on an international version purchased in Hong Kong. Do not have the same pop up but do have other which are very annoying as well.

Well that sucks.. I'm on tmobile, and still have yet to see this.
But come on... just hit the accept button, what could possibly happen. [emoji48]
Ok so I just got one today and boy I've had a lot of troubles with it. First it looks bad ace but it will not receive one email notification. I'm not stupid so I have checked to make sure that box is "on" and it is. It will not receive a facebook notification and after a couple of text notifications it stops getting them. I have a International 935f s7 edge connected to it. I don't know if it is the phone but my fit bit on it worked like a champ with out anything being wrong so I don't think it's that. I think I really just got a back one. I was one the phone with samsung for about 2 hours and they couldn't figure it out. Is there another update coming this week? Or should I send that bad boy in for RMA?
Oh yea factory resetted it twice today also...same thing will never get any other notification. Am I doing something wrong or is it a bad one?
And "notifications" for "samsung Gear Manager" is allowed in android settings ?

I not talk about the setting for each app you want to receive notification (mail, sms, facebook, twitter....) but the android permission (android phone settings) to authorize the "Gear Manager" apps to read and transmit notifications, right ?
yes it is. it is approved in the main setting
I just factory resetted it again and uninstall the gear app and redownloaded everything and it only receives one text than will not again...so weird...still testing but I think the software or the gear fit is bad

Hello,
Sorry if I'm not posting this in the right place, however I don't know where else to try.
Since yesterday evening, I have some strange cpu and battery stats on my rooted Galaxy S6 device:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
These stats appear on top of everything, including my secure lockscreen, camera, etc, which makes me think this is some hidden Android feature.
The reason why I'm posting is: I personally didn't enable this, I've had some guests yesterday, but none of them is really tech-savvy, and I don't have any additional apps installed since yesterday.
Does anybody have any idea what this is and how to disable it?
Thanks
It's of an app installed on your device, AccuBattery, check it's settings, or uninstall it if you don't need it.

Wow, I feel like a complete idiot.
Apparently, after I bought accubattery, I didn't notice that I had new options available in it's menu.
Someone must have turned the on.
For reference, anyone else who gets this - in Accubattery, open up the main menu and you have Overlay Settings. That's where you can enable or disable the overlay statistics.
The weird thing is that they will appear on top of everything, which can seen confusing, and rather annoying.
android apps are going back to default settings after reboot.
I generally limit some apps from running in the background and change some permission settings and toggle off the "change permission if unused". The thing is my apps are going back to the initial settings and permissions after i reboot the device (sometimes) the other day i reboot it and everything wasn't changed. But i power off the phone and let it off like 24 hours and it happened again everything was back to default and permissions too.
Does anyone know what might be causing this problem and if it has a fixed or work around??? Thanks in advance
I have that problem too. After every restart, I have to set up tasker and similar apps again.
I forwarded your question to the official asus forum.
Thank you so much
update: after the latest August update. this appears to be fixed, im not having this issue any more.
