Just a quick question, I have several movies I have downloaded that are in the format of .flv , is the Archos 101 able to view these out of the box or do I need to download a plug-in or can I convert the .flv files to a different format?

Try to play them first. I was able to watch all my FLVs without buying the plugin.

Do you have firmware 2.3.26? If yes you dont need the CP
And if not, try VitalPlayer Neon, that plays nearly everything.

Chances are you can use the same rootkit as used on MK808 (just Google sparky root MK808). Or it comes prerooted and all you'll need to do is download SU app from PS and root checker
