Wifi calling is carrier dependant. You might wanna check with them about support.

Wifi calling or Voice over LTE?
My VoLTE gave up a few times when I flashed same version over again, came back again after full reset.

In my case it affects Wifi calling!
Now I've found the time to do a full reset. Wifi calling is working again. Thanks @fregor!!!
Gallery issues
Hello, I have updated my honor 9 to both android and emui 8 and since than the first card in gallery app that is named Photos has not updated with a single photo I have taken with phone's original camera app nor a screenshot even tho they all show up in the card Albums in their folders. Is anyone experiencing this issue as well?
Hey, does anyone have a problem with fast scrolling down in call history. It's really bad with me when i fast scroll down it just lag really bad.

I'm having the same issue. I can see my photos are still there, via a file manager, but cannot access them through Gallery any more (only new photos taken since the update). Also these photos are no longer available in other apps either (like Instagram). Would love to know a fix for this. Thx.

A simple reboot restored all the missing folders for me. I love/hate when it's just that simple.

Update size is 147mb. Ram mgt issue is fixed. But face unlock bug with closed eye is still there.

You need to go to settings>Face unlock>enable the required option
It's not enabled by default.

Ram management issue is really fixed in 6gb variant as I am very zeal to purchase this device

Today have updated where till now things are fine - have not yet tested the face unlock with closed eyes as it was the main reason for the update.
One issue which I faced today is somehow while arranging the google app icons the gmail icon was dropped outside the box and removed. Could not find it at the home screen too - if possible let me know how to create a new one.

I've installed v153 two days ago on my P30 Pro 256GB (VOG-L29C431) using the FunkyHuawei HiSuite method.
My impressions of the v153 after 48hrs are:
Way better battery life, I got around +30% more SOT in compare to the previous version (124)
Camera has been improved, and i'm not talking about the new 'Dual View' or the 'Super Portrait' modes that were introduced on this version, I'm talking about the fine-detail of both the RAW and JPEG compressed images alike! With the previous 124 version my output JPEG's taken with the 40MP camera weighted around ~5-9MB, now with the 153 version, the averge JPEG size is around 8-10MB (RAW remained on ~80MB) which indicates more details are captured. I also used Adobe Lightroom on the RAW output and using the auto-tuning there, I was able to tweak the RAW images into a whole new level.
FP sensor seems a bit quicker, not that I had any problems with the previous version.
I remember I had a bug with Youtube and Facebook videos, when sometimes the video controls got stuck on the overlay and refused to disappear no matter what I did, the only solution was to FC the app and re-open it again. So far so good - didn't happened anymore.
Please share your impressions of the 153 version here.

It won't get resolved as it's intentional on Huawei's part, so no resolution is necessary
On v153, the camera version is 9.1.0.306.
There's a whole thread in a chinese forum (club.huawei.com) about the new version and people seems to like it alot!

Some of the photos from the linked thread were taken using Mate10/Mate20 phones and not necessarily using P30 Pro, but this fact is meaningless as the camera software is shared among most of the models.

Yes that's the correct method. Using funkyhuawei's hisuite method wont wipe your data. USB OTG one does.

when I try any ARCore app on my V30, it keeps showing me an animation of hand with a phone and tells me that it's looking for a surface, but I can't get past this stage. I don't think I am doing anything wrong, because it worked perfectly on my last phone. I've had this issue since switching to this phone with android oreo and now after updating to pie, it doesn't work either. I tried Messure, AR Elements, Just a Line and 3D Scanner, all with the same result. Also the phone is on the list of supported devices and I found posts from people using V30 with ARCore. How can I make it work? Also I noticed that it uses the wide angle camera.
ARcore or any AR app still broken in every Pie build available by now. Need to wait next release update from LG to fix that.
I downgraded to oreo also because of this, ARsticker is quite fun to play with my kid
I didn't know it's a general issue with Pie. For me, it didn't even work in Oreo.

Have you tried this on oreo? For my us998 20h firmware it works great, I can't wait for LG to fix on Pie because Playground has more AR apps than ARCore

No I haven't. Thanks for your help, but to me, ARCore is probably not worth setting up all of my apps all over again. I tried uninstalling all updates of the ARCore play services and wiping it's data, but it didn't help. Also I tried it on my friends Galaxy S8, which had the same problem. So the only phone I had with working AR was Nokia 8, which I no longer have.

Yap it's quite annoying to setting up all apps again. But since mostly V30 oreo works with ARcore, there must be something that need to be reset on yours. And also for now avoid installing first Pie release for all AR apps won't work still.
So I've just gotten an update with the September security patch and ARCore finally works now. It also fixed some bugs regarding gesture control and made multitasking faster in general.

That's good LG fixed this quite fast
ARStickers work fine on my H933 on Pie.
I don't really use ARCore for much else on the regular.
I got this problem with my Xperia 1. For some movies, 6 Underground and The Witcher, the app lags and hang during playback. I don't understand why. Anyone has same problem?

weird i guess you also delete and reinstall the app. It only remains to wait for a possible update. As I update with aptoid it may be that we have different versions. And yes the series is really of quality on the x1. Even the hp was enough

actually it must be annoying. unfortunately I never had the case so I cannot give other solutions. The problem should not be recurring
I encounter once that problem, hdr movies hung, but resolved closing and opening the app. If problem persist you will to do a factory reset to see if that solves
Same problem here, and I even did a factory reset today.
I have the problem on Netflix and DAZN ( live sports app) which basically makes the phone useless for those 2 apps. A

Reboot helps me.. but if i run Netflix app on second day it lags again. After reboot it fixes for some time...
This crap has been going on since they released Android 10 update! On my 3rd update after 10 was released and this problem has not been fixed! It's only affecting HDR titles on Netflix and can't watch any of these shows online or offline on my Xperia 5!
I'm on the beta program of Netflix. One of the latest beta updates fixed the issue for me.

Mine was different. I had to restart the internet router.
I find my internet was slower.
