In that thread, sounds like you can flash this one in TWRP:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75624206&postcount=321
Unlock your bootloader, install TWRP, root and flash. Easy.

Thanks @ChazzMatt. I finally took the plunge and unlocked bootloader following the WTF guide. I installed the font through TWRP and now have my V30+ looking much more like the Pixel

Yes, flashed @eng.stk version of TWRP and his kernel as well. Smooth and stable.
Search the General section for guides and how to's

It should be the same routine for the OPX as all of those devices then.
Just to be sure, you're doing it this way (step 5)?
Make sure that your bootloader is unlocked first, or it won't flash (step 2).
Also, make sure that when you use the command "fastboot flash recovery xxx.img" that "xxx.img" is identical to the name of the img file you have placed in your sdk tools folder.

Should be...key word. Guys I've tried it over and over again. All different ways to boot recovery after...different places downloading the file...different way installing (fastboot and flashify).
Only weird thing is that "fastboot oem device-info"
Says tampered is false
Unlocked is true
Does just unlocking bootloader usually trip the tampered flag?
So you're sure that you've enabled OEM unlocking in the developer options??

yes of course...Ive been through the process with the op2.
all drivers installed correctly, got rsa key, unlocked bootloader...one thing is that the confirmation bootloader unlocking screen was in chinese, but I chose the top option to confirm.
Same Issue
I'm having the exact same problem and would love to know a fix as well. My device is also unlocked by the tamper flag was not set off. I'm having the same problem of not being able to load TWRP onto the phone as well.
im guessing maybe because there isnt an official twrp for this phone.
There is only a custom and I know the internals are the same, but I think there are some kind of differences from phone to phone from region to region.

Hello,
I believe there is an official twrp. I did a search and found that you were already involved in that thread by @CafeKampuchia using the TWRP (onyx version) by @h2064
That was the initial recovery I had before I flash to the f2fs version by @eng.stk.

If you look here, there is no official TWRP for OPX yet, just for OPO & OP2.

I have the South African H850 but I read that apparently it can be unlocked. I currently have V20A flashed on it.

You do not need to downgrade, follow the guide to install TWRP after unlocking your bootloader and you are ready to flash anything you want.

How do i know if the phones bootloader is locked or unlocked? Im using a lg d618. Any tips on the quickest way to install twrp? I read that its best to root then use flashify to put Twrp on the phone.

Allright.
A Phone always comes with a locked bootloader so if you don't unlocked it yourself it is still locked.
To flash twrp you will need a unlocked bootloader and to unlock a bootloader you need rootacess.
I used the app rlashr to flash twrp and boot in recovery. Don't forget to type 'su' in a terminal before you use it (at the guide how to unlock a bootloader)
This guide tells you how to do everything:
(Follow these steps: root -> bootloader-> recovery(twrp))

If you look at the bootloader thread, you'll see exactly what version you can use to unlock etc.
i found this custom rom named LinageOS and i want to try but i only found a version for h830, can i use it to my h831?
You can't unlock the bootloader of the h831, so flashing twrp and custom roms is not an option.

My old phone is on 11.3.A10, unlocked and rooted.
I'd like to return this phone to bone stock. No need to keep any data.
In my research the process seems quite difficult and the boot images hard to find. Is an simple automated reset not possible?
What about sending it into oneplus?
Any help would be appreciated.

I wish I knew how without bricking my phone. I dont have the stock version of the rom im using, or can I just flash any stock rom on top? I uninstalled Magisk, and multiple Root checking apps now say I am not rooted (or not properly rooted). I hope thats enough.
Are you sure I need to unroot before doing the guide?
Yes, because you can't lock bootloader
