I'm attempting to port TWRP to the Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 Neo SM-G316ML (vivalto3mve3gltn) device. As of now I've got successful builds, but non-functional images (they brick the device).
The (experimental) device tree is hosted here, and is configured to build TWRP as its recovery (my plan is to also use it to build LOS 14.1, but after building TWRP).
I'm somewhat new to the Android devel. However, I've learned a lot, I'm familiarized with the AOSP/LOS source code, I use GNU/Linux as my main OS since some years ago and my skills are good enough to deal with this. The only problem is that, as this is my first time in porting a recovery to an unsupported device, I'd like some help. Anyone with knowledge and willing to help me in this project is welcome, just leave a comment so we can discuss how to manage this, like the access to the repository or pull requests, etc.
For the more-technical discussion about the porting, please do in this issue from the repository.

Introduction
Hi, I'm trying to do cm9 build for Samsung Galaxy Trend.. Why cm9? Because stock uses muuch ram, and I think doing same version will be easier than cm11..
For this time, boots but no wifi, ril, bt..
For some reason adb doesnt works and I really dont know what fails

Mods please close this s***t ? As all we know this is not his work. Lineage and RR have their own threads opened and maintained.
Worst rom description ever seen in years. You are discrediting all devs, here in XDA, with your incompetence.
Yeah I'm sorry but saying you do not know what's wrong with the Rom, shows your incompetence, mods please lock this thread so no one messes up their device
Thread closed. No kernel source. No credit given to lineage, No nothing

Hey, i'm sitting in the Sony M4 ROM Status Channel since June 2017 and i was thinking, finally now i get a (great working) ROM for the M4, and here we are not even a Link...
In your "preview" Pic Baseband is Unknown does that mean we will have no SIM (RILs) in the first ROM or do you fix it before release?
Thread closed. Placeholders are not allowed on XDA.
@Cubbins, please use the report button on my post to inform the moderation team when your work will be ready for everyone and when your thread will show all needed info for the development section. Meaning there should be download link, source code, descriptions, screenshots, etc.
Thanks

So i have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (d2dcm) lock on NTT Docomo Japan, there are unofficial development for this device but the developer discontinued making builds 4 years ago. The last build that the developer made was CyanogenMod 13 (CM 13) but there is one issue, the Sim Card was not recognize by the ROM although my device is already unlocked from the carrier. So i search up on internet but no luck, so i come up with a new idea, port the Lineage OS to my device. The Samsung Galaxy S3 AT&T (d2att/d2lte) had the same specs with my device (d2dcm). First i downloaded the Lineage OS Nightly build (lineage-14.1-20171204-nightly-d2att-signed.zip) for the d2att, once i downloaded it i modify the updated-script and added my device id on it, the next thing i did was edit the build.prop and did the same thing. Then i tried to install it via twrp (i factory data reset it without wiping the data) then it work but there is one problem when i booted it up its stuck in Samsung Logo and it doesn’t want to boot, so i pull out the boot.img on my old ROM (CyanogenMod 13) and replace the boot.img on the Lineage OS d2att with from my old ROM. Then installed it again, the installation was successful but there is text written in red shown in the photo below

Then when i booted my device, the Lineage OS showed up but now it’s in bootloop stage, did i do something wrong? Or did i miss some steps? Please let me know, or please teach me, i really wanted to use the Lineage OS.
