le max2 X820 How to change modem? - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

How to change/ flash modem on eg 28s
I currently have 19s and I do not catch LTE at all.
And whether the change of ROM is at once a change of the modem or two separate issues, i.e. changing the ROM itself will also change my modem, do I have to change the ROM separately and the modem separately
I am asking for a step-by-step instruction

Heyyo, only EUI ROM comes with the full firmware with the ROM.
If you use a custom ROM not EUI ROM based? It will not overwrite device firmware.
I always recommend full firmware packages instead of just modem so all the device firmware have matching version numbers.
to change firmware? Just download the desired zip and flash via TWRP and reboot. Same procedure to switch firmware if you wish to try a different version.
To flash different full firmware I have links on my LineageOS 15.1 for X2 thread for the main different versions.
30s and 466d are the latest two. Try each and see which one offers you the best overall experience

Flashing firmware help

I am going to flash the firmware on my m8 to upgrade to 4.4.4 ARHD but I am still unsure of how to identify the proper firmware zip . Could someone provide some guidance? Attached are some images from the recovery. I'm not sure what numbers I need to match with the firmware zip. And I can't find how to view what numbers are in the zip. Any advice is very much appreciated.
hboot 3.16 corresponds to firmware that deployed with 1.x software. Its what many folks call "1.x firmware" for lack of any better title, since firmware doesn't really have a "number".
If you want to update to the latest ARHD, you need "3.x firmware". Any firmware with number 3.xx.xx will allow the phone to boot normally, and with working WiFi. The numbers after the 3 are just carrier/region specific versions.
But for the AT&T network, you are probably best off flashing the 3.28.1540 firmware posted on WNC's ROM here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-htc-one-m8/development/att-4-4-3-2-22-1540-3-debloated-sense-6-t2837365
Thanks a lot!

So even if you just want the new Firmware, you have to do everything in that thread? I'm asking because it shows installing a ROM then doing stuff with Xposed, which I assume will be undone when the ROM changes

No, you just need to perform the steps listed under "Updating firmware" numbered 1-8. And also skip the very last step (Step 8, Substep 3).
The rest is if you want to run the modified Dev Ed ROM, as you have somewhat already figured out. But honestly, if you are on AT&T's network, I would consider the ROM anyway. Many folks (including myself) get various network errors running "international" based custom ROMs; which the debloated Dev Ed ROM does not suffer from.

If i flash stock rom with odin, i lose twrp right?

I flashed twrp 2860 onto my jp softbank s6 edge sm925Z. 5.0.2 android.
I want to remove this bloatware trash.
Is there a way for me to backyp my current firmware
And then try another countrys firmware with odin, from the samsung
Firmware page?
Samsung does not release the jp softbank sm925z firmware.
So my question is, . . .
If i flash chinese firmware i will lose TWRP right?
Then i can not return to my backup stock rom. Because no twrp.
So i would need to hope i can reinstall twrp on the chinese rom right?
If i try other firmwares, i will lose wifi and cellular service right?
Is there a way for me to change or insert my wifi cellular partition information
To new roms or firmwares?

If you install a stock firmware you'll lose TWRP, and you'll have to install it again. You'll not lose wifi.

How do I revert back to a Vendor Rom?

Hey guys,
I'm very new to flashing, and I recently flashed my Le Max 2 with stock android (LineageOS) using TWRP. I used "lineage-14.1-20170715-nightly-x2-signed.zip" and "twrp-3.1.1-0-x2". However, I've been running into some problems like videos getting constantly corrupted, the camera always crashing and also the phone heats up a lot more than before. Because of this, I want to revert back to the Vendor Rom, but the LeEco official website doesn't load for me. Is there any place I could find the ROM that came with the phone, and maybe the same recovery as well? And if so, how would I install it?
Thank you so much for your help!
Hello original vendor ROM is Chinese, Indian or USA. Which model do you have?

Heya! I bought it from Chinavasion, but when I set it up it had everything defaulted to English (US) so I'm not entirely sure :/
If it is X820 or X822 model you can install some EUI based ROM like Cuoco or Small EUI.
You won't be able to revert back to the vendor ROM unless you backed up before flashing a custom ROM. With no backup, you'll be best off either flashing a stock LeEco ROM (either Indian 19s or Chinese 23s) or a modded version of the stock ROM, such as Cuoco92 or Small EUI or Crisbalgreece's Aroma 26s rom. The vendor ROMs are usually not very good anyway, tbh.

Le Max 2 whole_netcom, help

I checked my Le Max 2 model via Fastboot oem device-info command and it came back as le_x2_whole netcom, anyone please tell me what model is my le max 2, x820, x821, x829? Please thank you
Heyyo, the easiest way to tell will be physically on the back of your device. Mine shows x829 on the back.
le_x2_whole_netcom I believe is x820 though
le_x2_india is x821
.... tbh no idea for x822.
le_x2_na is x829
Thank you for your reply.
Sadly there's nothing on the back
Heyyo, yeah I found a post on 4pda.ru and le_x2_whole_netcom is indeed x820.
Just a heads up though, flashing a different modem firmware WILL change what ID comes up because that post on 4pda.ru noted he flashed a Chinese modem firmware and his device changed from le_x2_na_overseas to le_x2_whole_netcom.
Same goes with flashing Indian 19s. Flashing a modem firmware from that or the EUI ROM will change your device to le_x2_india.
The only modem firmware I don't know what ID comes up because I'm lazy and never checked heh is the developer modem firmware versions...
Tbh the only real difference between any of them is what stock EUI ROM they come with and x829 lacks LTE band 20. I haven't seen any other noteworthy differences.

recovery mode is refusing to flash to older global rom
