[APP] [DEV] Open on Phone option - Wear OS Software and Hacking General

Hey guys! Some of you may remember the 'Open on Phone' option in older versions of Android Wear. I have been thinking to bring the feature to the latest version of Android Wear, but not sure if there are enough people who will actually find it useful.
The basic idea is, suppose you have got a lot of email notifications that you are browsing on your watch and then suddenly you come across a specific notification that you want to take action on the phone. Ideally, you would open your Phone and either find the notification from the stack or open the App and find the point of action. With the App I propose, you can simply dismiss a notification on your watch and as soon as you unlock your phone, a dialog would appear for you to open/click the notification you had just dismissed (indicating your intent to open it on phone) on the watch.
Let me know if it sounds confusing/interesting. Cheers!

Nothing like this already exists?

At least nothing that I could find.

This would be a good mod since most of the app devs still doesn't implement the "open on phone" option in their notifications. Looking forward to this! ?

This is one of the things keeping me from AW2.0!

[Q] Cyanogenmod 10 Developer tools?

I have been lurking on this site for a while. Let me say thank you to all the developers here, its incredible that you would take time out of your life to help other people with our miniscule problems that we bring upon ourselves.
Anyway I recently upgraded from cyanogenmod 9 to cyanogenmod 10 on my Samsung infuse 4g. In the 9th version, there was a section in the system menu for developer tools. In it was a bunch of options but the one i am concerned with is the cursor. Actually i cant recall what it is called but when enabled, it shows a little circle wherever the screen is being touched. I love that feature and i figured it would still be in the 10th version but i cannot find it. I dont know what to search for to find information so i had to create this account and ask.
Okay i was playing with the settings and i found this.
Settings - Lock Screen - Slider shortcuts - drag the dot to a new location - activities - Dev tools - Pointer Location
but when i lock the screen and then unlock it and slide the dot to the icon, it just brings up a kind of app. the one in CM9 was global and it was different, it didnt track the touch, just showed it...
found it (?)
okay i found how to enable it but its hidden like a *****
Had to set Dev tools to the slider icon, then save, lock the screen, unlock it, slide to the dev tools icon, and the developer options is THERE. WHO PUT IT THERE?! How were we supposed to get to it? The dev tools contain many useful features. I use the long press back key kill app feature, and some people might use the max background processes to free up memory. You can change transition animation timing, and lots of other things. IDK why they hid it away on CM10 unlike CM9.
Anyway thats where the dev tools are. Question answered, maybe it will help someone else.

Go to settings - About Phone - And press on the "build number" for 7 times.
You will get a message saying "You're now a developer" or something.
And the Developer Options menu should be available in settings.

Removal of page ending scroll curve

Hello,
Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I'm just curious if it would be possible to remove that little notification "bubble" curve which indicates if you have reached the top or bottom of a page. I don't even know what that little thing is called, and I'd rather remove it as it's rather useless and I don't like the feature at all.
I'm running rooted Lollipop with Nova Launcher on Mlais M52, cheap china phone. Asked my friends with Marshmallow and seems like they are not having that "bubble" on every single menu, just WhatsApp or FB messenger. I'm getting it even in app drawer which makes it rather annoying as I prefer to scroll from top to bottom instead of left and right.
Found something from StackOverflow, but seems like the feature is not called "FadingEdge". I'll add a screenshot with that "bubble curve" if my explanation was way too confusing

Couldn't figure how to upload a direct screencap to the reply. Here you go:

bump, do anyone know even what's the feature called?

General questions

Hello fellow Xiaomi users,
I got my Redmi 5 Plus a few days ago, updated it only via the system update (no custom twerks yet).
Currently I have the stock Android 7.1.2 N2G47H and the stock MIUI 9.6.2.0 NEGMIFD.
I have a couple of questions about the phone and I would really appreciate your help:
1) Will this phone get an official Oreo update? I've read that there should be one, but couldn't find any official date mentioned.
2) Stock launcher - I noticed that I couldn't remove app icons from the stock launcher. Is there a way to do that, and customize it all together?
3) Nova launcher - Since I couldn't remove unneeded app icons from the stock launcher, I installed Nova. An issue I find with it though, is that I no longer get skype notification sound - only vibration. Also sometimes messenger fails to make a sound as well, but that happens fairly rare. Any idea on a fix for this? Or maybe recommend a better launcher, that works with the phone?
4)Viber - I am using dual SIMs. One personal, and one for work. I activated only my work viber, but as soon as I started using it, it transferred all my contacts in it. So now my personal and work contacts got mixed. Wouldn't be an issue, If I didn't use viber on my work PC, and I would rather my personal chats to not be there. Any suggestion on how to separate my contacts? Anyone else had this issue?
5) Alarm sound - I am not sure if this happened after I switched to Nova, but my alarm sound is really low. The phones speakers are quite good, but when it comes to the alarm its quite low. I can barely hear it and wake up
6) Freezing - Sometimes when I type in let's say messenger, the phone freezes for some reason, until I type the next letter. For example if I try to type the word "submarine", I can type "subma" but it will freeze on "subm", and when I type the next letter (r) it will spit out both of the last written letters "submar" and then continue to work normally. What can cause those freezes?
I would really love to hear your opinion on these points.
Thanks in advance guys
1) For sure, in the main miui site is indicated and if is there is a closed beta available then we can expect an official version.
2) Remove the icons from stock launcher will mean uninstall them, you can only move them to the next display and maybe group them.
3) Check if all permissions are granted for this launcher including device control and accesibility, also enable in Nova persistent notifications. I use stock launcher, I put my preferred apps in main desktop, the others just moved them to the right and using the app "My Drawer" from developer Ofir Miron, it´s the only that I found that keeps the same icon from any theme that I pick, the others look very ugly.
I´m rarely use the other points so I don´t know

Thank you for the reply, I guess I will wait for the update for now, and experiment some more with Nova.
One more thing that came to mind - any way to use the proximity sensor to stop the phone for ringing or to answer calls? I had this options on other android phones - when the phone rings, and you bring your phone close to something (like your year) it picks up. Or when you flip it face down it stops the ringing. Any of these options available?? Can't find them so far.

Navigation Bar Bug - Android Pie

Hi there,
I just received the update from Samsung via OTA of Android Pie. After it was concluded, i noticed some strange translucid bars on both sides of the screen. At first, i thought it was some kind of bug related to the Edge Panel. However, when i slide it, it shows the navigation bar buttons.
I couldn't find anything like that in any other XDA post, nor Reddit, nor anywhere else. It doesn't seem to be a feature (or maybe it is, but too advanced for me) and i'd like to know if you have faced something similar. You can find the evidence, here:

(new members can't post links, apparently)
If there's no workaround this, then i'll probably just factory reset it.

Look for "One hand operation+" app and you can disable the side navigation handles there.

[APP] [Notifications] Watch Droid Assistant - Wear OS

Watch Droid is a simple application for handling notifications in smartwatch with Android that since version 11.0 has been compiled for Wear OS.
How does it work:
Install "Watch Droid Phone" on your phone.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lumaticsoft.watchdroidphone
Install "Watch Droid Assistent - Wear OS" on the smartwatch.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lumaticsoft.watchdroidassistantwearos
Verify that both devices have bluetooth enabled.
Login to "Watch Droid Phone" and follow the steps of the assistant in configuration
The operation is simple and can not exceed that of Wear OS but has some features that may be useful:
Notifications:
After giving permission for the management of phone notifications and selecting the applications that you want to control, you can answer them from the smartwatch.
In the options of the phone application you will have the possibility to modify your predefined answers, delete or add.
If the notification has the possibility of being answered, the button will appear to be able to select one of your predetermined answers, keyboard or voice dictation (if the smartwatch has the possibility).
Receive multimedia notifications such as audio files, images or video.
Music:
In the music option you can:
* Open the default player of your phone.
* Skip the topic, pause or play it.
* Raise or lower the multimedia volume of the phone.
Share files:
* Select the file to send.
* Select the location on your smartwatch.
* Send your file.
Camera control:
*Take a picture
* Retard 3 sec
* Change from back to front camera
New in version 13:
Thanks!
Hello,
I use this for receiving and listening to WA voice messages and it works perfectly, thanks for that!
Is it possible to record voice messages and send them?
Couldn't find the option so far. This will make it perfect for me.
Cheers

Thank you for your comment, unfortunately in the response of a notification you can only enter text, it is not possible to respond with an audio directly, that's why I give the option of voice dictation.
Thank you for the explenation.

Is it also possible to answer a call on watches with audio ( ticwatch E wear os)? I mean talking with the watch? Because if this app could override the super buggy calls on wear os and also be faster to notify would be great

No, unfortunately this is not possible, Watch Droid does not control the transmission of audio between the devices, that is controlled internally by the same firmware of the smartwatch.
Lumatic, just wondering... On Android Wear (I have a Fossil Gen 5 and a basically another Fossil (Michael Kors), when you get a notification and read it on the watch, in Wear Os, it removes the notification icon on the phone which is a good thing so you don't think you still have an unread notification. Wear Os does this but not Watch Droid. Is it something that you think might happen to do in a near futur? Customizable like other options "When notification is read from watch, remove notification icon on phone"?. Because it's in my opinion a very valuable thing in Wear OS that it does this.

This is not done automatically but you can discard the phone notification by the "Discard" adoption among the notification options.
New version 13 in Play Store
• New notification system for navigation.
• New filter for multimedia notifications by combination of notifications. It will use the detection of notifications and combine them with the files received to be able to determine whether or not to send it.
• Improved system for registering filtered notifications.
• Possibility to select the application that notifies telephone calls.
• Bug fixed.
Hi Lumatic, thanks for this great app, it was working fine and now the response buttons have disappeared from the watch app, so I cannot select any prompts for example 'do you wish to delete all notifications'. There is no yes /no button anymore.. I reinstalled watch droid assistant ams restarted phone and watch and still same issue.. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you
OK. This is awesome. So far
Just a suggestion that would like to see added.
1. Ability to move button order. Maybe I want discard at the top instead of reply with voice as an example. Just gives a bit more options of customizing.
2. Ability to scroll with dial. Right now have to use the touchscreen but would like to scroll with my crown/dial on the side
Those additions will make this even better!
Any chance of Tasker support in the future?
Bugs/Features
I really Like Watchdroid, bought the full app, but i have a few very serious issues on my Amazfit Stratos:
- [bug] When i use Lift to wake, i see a blank screen instead of the watch-face. I would be expecting a notification screen at least, but it's just blank, nothing on it.
- [feature] It would be great if you could have a link to the normal camera, and a shutter button. The preview is not always relevant as it's very small on the watch, it's more useful to have an actual shutter button with the normal camera app and it's modes+video. I believe you can use the Volume sendKeys shortcuts.
Ideally would be to have sendKeys shortcuts to Camera Button,Switch front/back, Take video, Vol +/- for zoom, Bigsby, but i'm not sure how universal that would be.
:good:
Hi everybody. I often get double notifications from many apps and I don't know why. I can't find a way to stop it. Has anybody been facinig this and probably find a solution?
I have a request.
Is possible add more option in:"Show notification for x seconds"

I do not understand correctly, the option to show the notification for xx time do you want it to be simpler to use? It was designed in this way to make it more adaptable to each user, in many cases each user wants a different time and can configure it per second.
If you have not understood correctly, please explain me better what your problem is.
Smartwatch list
Hi Lumatic.
Can you display somewhere a list of supported smartwatchs?
I'm thinking on buying an Amazfit GTS so my Amazfit Pace can rest a bit, but I really like the watch droid full app and I'd like to be able to use with it too.
How do I know what smartwatch supports watch droid?
Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately there is no list of devices that are compatible since the only requirement that exists is that the smartwatch has an Android operating system so that you can install Watch Droid Assistant. All devices with WearOS are compatible.
The Amazfit GTS has a proprietary operating system and is NOT Android.
