Any firmware without kodi pre-installed for tanik tx3 mini. I don't use kodi and when uninstall kodi there space in home of kodi app. Can i remove this.

Hi I (foolishly)upgraded my mx box from version 4.2 to 5.1,now google playstore and \any downloaded apps don't open. I factory reset, uninstall play store but nothing happens. Surprisingly, kodi works, es explorer, opens, so as google browser.The main problem is play store.
I upgraded using root browser,but that app does not open now either.I tried using a 5.1 software,but got fail info.Thanks for any help.

The google play store only lets me install the tablet versions of Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Youtube which is terrible with a simple control.
I've looked for other apks, but all are very outdated compared to my Firesticks version.
Is there a way I can install the latest TV versions of these apps onto my Z69? My gen 1 Firestick can run, so I'm wondering if this newer box can too.

Usually those apps check for two things to make sure they are used correctly:
a) Normal or Android TV config
b) Device info from build.prop
If either is incorrect the app won't install or if it does refuse to work.
I installed v2h on my x96 mini
It works fine with no problem but it was installed without any pre installed apps

Yeah I had to install some sort of web browser from play store and went to aptoide web site and got aptoide tv to install on it.

I just buy a new H96 MAX+ 4/32GB RK3328 Android 9 TV BOX, build RK3328_V2R0 and Kernel version 4.4.159.
After I set it up and when I tried to to update the Google plays services from the Play store, it always gives me an error code-504 for updating.
I Google a little and I tried to certificate Google Services Framework ID, tried with factory reset, deleted data, cache, uninstalled and reinstall Google updates. Nothing works for me.
I didn't have problems with logging in play store, gmail, Chrome.
Google play services are v.14.3.67
Google is v.8.39.8.21.arm64
Play store is v.12.4.14-all[0] [PR] 219234122
Google service framework is v.9
I'm also very confused,why can't I install another android launcher, gives me error code - 504
I have pre installed RKMC and playstore recognized it as KODI and gives me an option for updating and giving me a error code - 505 for installing (updating)
Is there any solution for these problems

I bought the same tv box and I have the same issue to install a new launcher. I don't have the error message but a message telling that's wasn't possible to install only.
About RKMC, it's a FORK of KODI. Bellow has a link explaining all about that but is in portuguese:

I deleted the RKMC app and installed KODI 18.5 of the official website.
Do you solved the issue about launcher's installation ?

The new launcher's installation issue was solved with the firmware update. The box came with firmware very limited dated of 2018/12/05. The files and instructions to update could be found in the page https://www.h96tvbox.com/content/6-Firmware-upgrade.

right now box have only option to watch lebara tv but lebara tv closed long time ago. its install 4.2 android. you can't install any app so how i can root this box and install custom firmware to use as smart tv box. i tried to install throgh 3e recovery but its unsuccessful. plz guide me
Hi, I'm in the same boat here. Trying to find a custom firmware from chinagadgetsreviews.com/firmwares but not able to find anything listed from SDMC or pertaining to model STB-1HD or DV6819.

My lebara box is also on 4.2 android with the yupp tv launcher. I have downloaded apk's on a usb using my computer and have installed them onto the lebara box using the built in file explorer. I was able to install the google play store however the app does not open. Google chrome works and google play services also works. The problem is that when installing a different launcher such as nova launcher (an older version that is compatible with android 4.2) cannot be navigated. The box also has no support for mice but a keyboard does work fine. I will try to install a base 4.2 android software to see if custom android installs are supported by the firmware.
