hello everyone, I come to you because I have not found any solution for my htc one max.
I wanted to reset my htc one max, because it does not stop to restart in loop. then after reinitalization, he tells me that my memory is encrypted and I have to enter my password for the decrypted, I typed then my old password, he tells me that it is correct but that my data are corrupted and that a reinitialization is necessary; I reinitialize it a second time but it comes back to the encrypted memory interface.
I decided the flash then but my bootloader is locked, I followed the method on htcdev but it does not work, the proccedure is well (unlock successfull on the cmd, YES, on the htc to confirm the unlocking of the bootloader) but the bootloader is still locked
I am under hboot 2.49 S-ON
if some will have a solution to unlock the bootloader or another for the encrypted memory I am a taker,

Hi, I had unlocked bootloader of my EVO 3d(Vodafone AU) using HTC unlock method.
Today, while relocking the bootloader, i get contradicting msges as Lock successfully and also FAILED. As u can see the attached IMAGE.
Although the HBOOT now shows RELOCKED at top, I now have another line at bottom that reads SECURITY WARNING.
I am not sure if this is normal. please help me
and also the only way i can factory reset my phone is by unlocking my bootloader.
Selecting factory reset in bootloader and also under phone storage setting does nothing.
what is the problem?
I was flashing a google play edition rom onto my phone and when i did that i also had the harman karmon speakers flashed and my phone went into the HTC boot screen. The screen never loaded into the phone so i waited for it to die. After it died i went into the bootloader and tried to boot into recovery to wipe the phone, but when i got into the bootloader my phone said CID incorrect
"press the power button to restart". I did this and it just does the same thing, never loads into the phone and always says CID incorrect. please help. My phone is rooted, has s-off, and unlocked bootloader. any suggestions would be appreciated

Is anything else showing up on the bootloader screen, is it trying to install an update? I don't think I've seen this before, where it says incorrect CID in bootloader, unless its trying to install something.

I'm a little desparate with an error that occurred some time ago. My HTC One was updated and suddenly was encrypted.
Factory reset is not working and Recovery option is not working as well.
What I've done so far, after several forum messages:
1. I tried to execute the HTC dev (unlock_code.bin) hint in a way to unlock the bootloader, but with no success at all. I always get the "*** LOCKED ***" (S-ON) option enabled. Then, I saw a lot of messages in foruns regarding the HBOOT version 1.55 that is installed in my device. It seems that with this version, it's not possible to change the configuration to S-OFF.
2. No fastboot commands work, including all the flash writing options. All of them with signature failures. Again in this case it seems to be a issue related to S-ON/S-OFF.
3. I couldn't run the cellphone in USB debugging (after the boot, I'm presented with the infamous: "type password to decrypt storage", which obviously I don't have the password).
4. Runrunner didn't work.
At this very moment my device is a paperweight... Does anybody have another idea about what could be done in this case?
All my problems seem to be focused on my inability to change the option S-ON to S-OFF.
Any help is very appreciated!

Hello, my phone is relocked and I need to unlock it. I already tried download Unlock_code.bin from htcdev site, but after I choose unlock bootloader on this screen https://www.htcdev.com/images/uploads/bootloader/step13.jpg then phone reboot into TWRP, but the touch screen is not working there.
Please does anyone have any idea how to fix it? I need to unlock it

From what i understand, we have to use the mi unlock tool to unlock the bootloader, and doing so factory resets the phone and erases all data. When we first click on the unlock button, it gives an error saying try again after 7 days. What i want to know is, does the phone's data get erased on the first attempt to unlock the bootloader, or does it get erased after 7 days on the second attempt in which the bootloader actually unlocks?
I found the answer to my question. It gets erased on the second attempt.
